God bless you bro!
Thanks man, God Bless you too! ✌
Awesome! I want to be a hardscaper now ☦️☦️☦️
😂 Nice! kind of addicting right?
Amazing work...
Thank you ✌️
Beautiful stairs. You clearly have an artists vision.
Thank you ✌
Steps are looking seeexxxxy!Like how they’re built next to that big ass ledge rock👍
Thanks Man! I love that exposed ledge, so cool.... ✌
Needed a pair of forks and a skiddy for those treads. Too much trouble with the ex🤣
Totally agree, unfortunately I could only have one machine on the job from the rental place. The mini ex was crucial for setting the top steps. Hopefully I’ll be in a position to have a couple machines at my disposal, for now I just deal with what I have ✌🏻
Amazing steps!amazing job as usual brother .God bless you brother!still learning a lot with you.
Thank you very much, God Bless you too brother! ✌🏻
Gorgeous guys!!! What a transformation!
This was a very fun project, Thank you!
You guys are the MAN .👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Beautiful transformation class job 👏
Thanks ✌🏻
Great job, as always!
Thank you! ✌
Amazing videos. I learn so much from your videos
Thanks man, glad you like them! ✌
Very nice as usual. Good job.
Thanks ✌
My wife & I discovered your channel about 4 months ago, and have become just fascinated by what you guys do. The aching question we get from all of them = "What did THAT cost$?" I'm referring to the material, not your labor for doing the job. We have watched many of your videos, some multiple times, all are well done and VERY instructive, but the looming question at the end of the job is always the same$. I know prices can vary, but for example; "What does a truckload of THAT crushed rock cost? Or in the case of this 'step install' video; "What does a pallet of those 6 cool steps cost?"
We're waaaay over on the west coast up in the Northwest (Spokane region), and don't even know if the materials you use (pavers, steps, gravel..etc) are even available over here vs the East coast, especially some of those pavers you've used... they look very nice. Lord knows you guys make all that work look so easy, BUT I know it's not and a lot of that stuff is pretty darn heavy, ha.. Recently we obtained another home with property (our retirement place), and I plan to build a nice path, patio, curved wall and fireplace very reminiscent of the project video series you did: "How To Install Concrete Pavers", posted Feb 8, 2022. What did a pallet of those pavers cost? How about that wall? Yeah I know I can research it all, since always you're kind enough (thank you) to detail what everything is...... but I figure while you're doing that, you could also say something like; "On average, this will cost around $XXX.00 for a pallet of these", ha... and save the viewer the trouble. It's just a thought, but hey, you do an awesome job already.
Anyway - you guys do terrific work, and I certainly wish you were out my way! Thanks to you, I've learned a tremendous amount regarding hardscaping, but also know that: "Seeing it done on a video does NOT mean I can actually do it like you!" ha, ha... BUT I WILL TRY... some day, but at 63 I'd better hurry up! Keep it up my friend and THANK YOU!
Hey Craig, thanks for the support and thanks for the awesome feedback!
These comments are very helpful because of you being open about information you would like included. I never really thought of bringing to much numbers into the videos because I was not sure if people would be that interested. But from this comment, I am definitely going to try throwing out material costs more as I go along.
Your retirement home project sounds sweet!
Almost everything I do is based off square footage measurements, so here is a few average costs for the materials I use...
-The pavers in all my videos so far cost between $5.00 - $8.00 per sq ft.
-The average wall block cost per sq ft (of the face, length x height ) is between $15.00 -$20.00 per sq ft.
* The wall block in this project was special order block and costed about $30.00 per sq ft.
* The Steps cost about $200.00 each $1200.00 for a 6 pack bundle
- The 3/4 inch crushed stone we ude for the base cost about $20.00 - $35.00 per cubic yard. My trailer takes 3 cubic yards which will cost me between $60.00 - $105.00 per trailer load.
- The 3/8 inch "chip stone" or "Premium Bedding Stone" cost about $45.00 - $65.00 per cubic yard.
- 1 Roll of that fabric I use (600 sq ft) costs $80.00 - $110.00
I hope all that info is helpful, Thanks again for the support, I am glad you and your wife are enjoying the channel! ✌
Dude , great videos !
You guys gotta be in the Boston area ?
Thank you, we are out of southern central Massachusetts ✌🏻
dang nice. fun accent also
Thanks! ✌
I'm currently watching many of your videos to learn as much as I can to conquer my first patio. I have a question. Is it acceptable to match the paver slope to the current sidewalk? This was my plan, but I just checked the slope of the sidewalk and it drops 2.5 inches over the 8 foot section of the side walk where pavers would join up to. Sidewalk is in very good shape so I'd rather not demo it. Excellent video series by the way!
Thanks for the support. As far as the slope, you certainly can match the existing walkway. We try to stay at 1/8 - 1/4 slope on our patios but when it comes to walkways, there is a lot of times we slope far past 1/4. Sometimes extra slope cuts down on steps needed. And sometimes we even go with the grade of the land, no matter what the slope. So yes, that will be just fine ✌🏻
What kind of tow straps are you using. We are starting project with this steps next week. But dont have the clamp was going to use straps. But i only have long ones. Seems like straps you have worked perfect
The straps will definitely get you through the install. It is just a 25 ft tow strap with loops on both ends. You wrap it around the step evenly on each side and hook the loops to the teeth of the bucket or whatever you have available… got that strap at Home Depot ✌🏻
So tell me about the lifting tool you guys were using, lifting those steps, thank you.
It is made by (Pave Tool) here is a link to it on their website 👉pavetool.com/collections/clamps-wall-paver-slab/products/quick-e-bl-980
It works awesome for many different applications ✌
can you make a video on how you quote a job like this? How to figure out how many steps you need? thanks!
I do plan on making some videos based on estimating and quoting, just not sure when yet..... ✌
@@TheChristianHardscaper Awesome, look forward to seeing the vid! love the videos btw!
No fabric to cover the crushed rock before putting dirt on top?
It wasn't necessary in this situation, They will be installing a few plants in the center and mulching the rest. Even if some soil migrates into the stone, it wont harm any of the build with it being on the side. I Did however put fabric under the soil at the top of the steps. ✌
Where can you get this particular clamp to lift the slabs?
Not sure where you can get it around you but here is a link to their website and the exact clamp I have 👉pavetool.com/collections/clamps-wall-paver-slab/products/quick-e-bl-980
What city and state are you guys located in
Worcester County, Massachusetts ✌
No geogrid on these kinds of steps?
You certainly can if you want to, but these steps have a large surface area to set on. Geo grid is not necessary in my opinion ✌🏻
@@TheChristianHardscaper thanks, it’s just what I’ve noticed a lot of hardscapers use geo grid before setting down the stone
Yes sir, I use it on certain step installs. This one in particular, I just didn't feel the need.
It COST you $1200 and worth every penny? 😊
🤣 I hate how expensive they are but they are very helpful and will make it's money back and then some! ✌
