Not that I would ever want to own a matte finish on my car, I appreciate how much effort you continue to put into making a comprehensively informed "how to" video on proper cleaning! Thank you for always maintaining that high standard that has given so much credibility to your great channel! Kudos!
I loved this video so thank you for taking the time to show us all these tips and tricks. I don't own a matte finish car nor did I ever detail one but if I do I will be better prepared. I just picked up McKee's 37 Matte Finish Cleaner & Protectant just in case I come across a matte car or a car that just has a matte decal/stripe. This was been great so thanks again and I will feel more confident if this type of car presents itself.
Please helm me out of my doubts. I see you using Gloss enhancer product on matte paint. I am strictly told to use NO products which contain any gloss or Gloss enhancers. Thanks for this video
I have new Griots water spot remover one it does not remove sticky sap and tar easily the APC and Googone less effort . Car was out tonight it’s covered is pine sap again from trees around here
Wow you got my attention. How could I get off a water mark sport on my hood of the BMW I4 M50 frozen portimao Blue. It’s driving me crazy. Please Tell me your solution 😊
Yeah im still shocked how much particles stick to this finish versus any car i ever owned. Definitely neat on rare special cars but id never want my daily in matte it would drive me nuts
I watched where you explained why you got it, but there is no way I could get use to that green lantern color. It’s an amazing car though and you have one more GTR than I do.
@@autofanaticcars idk. I’ve only seen other colors in person so I can’t say. What I can say is that I’m def considering trying to get a black one at some point. The pre MY20 are def gems that will be impossible to replace in the future.
@autofanaticcars yeah true I got Xpel stealth on mine and just the PPF alone only made it slightly easier to clean. After adding Dr. Beasley's matte film coating it's insanely slick and kinda enhanced the finish too without adding any gloss. Best ceramic coat I've used to date when it comes to matte PPF. Nothing sticks to it, clean after just a quick blast with the pressure washer.
On a matte finish first point of contact should not be rubbing the paint. Wash it off first to get rid of grit or you ar rubbing whats on the car into the paint. not good with matte cause you cant buff it out. rinse the car off before you rub anything on it. I been cleaniong matte finishes for years.
yes the autobody specialist who repairs these paints said BMW is the most sensitive to any rubbing at all so is Mclaren and Lamborghini but he said Mercedes is the toughest of all matte clear coats from his experience which was good to hear,
Please help me with tips. I am still getting used to my matte frozen paint BMW. I bought some products to foam and contact wash for this paint and it does a good Job. But now I need more help with removing a pretty big 1,5/2 cm water spot on the hood.
Beautiful ride, great vid! Just bought a 2023 g63 AMG in Dark Olive Mango Matte, definitely using this process when I take delivery.

Great content!
A water spot removal also works great.

And of course it needs to be something which doesn’t make the paint glossy
Would it not be a good idea to put a clear bra on critical areas such as bumper, rocker pannels, and fenders?
For sure but it doesn’t make cleaning any easier these matte surfaces hold on to debris tougher than a gloss finish thats why i did this video
@@autofanaticcars gotcha!
We just recently wrapped our 16 Tesla Model S in satin black from STEK. I'm wondering if these process would work on that specific PPF ?
Everything in this video will work exact as shown on your Stek wrap
The struggle was real on that finish before wrapping mine car. But these finishes looks amazing

This color makes the car once you see it and experience it yourself it suits the raw nature of this beast

You need to try the new clay mitt/ sponge from the rag company it causes no marring at all!! Game changer
Clay mitts rarely mar its the clays that i would be afraid to try on these finishes
Gloss enhancer matte soap?
my thoughts
Gotta have PPF on magno paint. I'd go crazy from anxiety driving around with bare paint 😬
Ppf still doesn’t help sap and contamination from sticking it seems any thing matte is much more upkeep im learning

Does it really work??
