i never had luck with any of those style brushes since the early 90s they always make a mess on cars with big Brembo brakes. the OXO brush i discovered is perfect you should pick one up for a mere $8 and try it.
I just ordered the OXO brush, are you sti using it on black gloss rims? Trying to find some for my M performance brakes, these 4 pistons at the front are a PITA to clean.. So much brake dust also.
Great video. I've had the Woolie Wormit new version. I fight the microfiber wanting to slide off the plastic handle once it gets fully wet. Do you get that?
Great video! Any link to the brush at 3:42? Not the all black long handled boars head, but the other long handled brush with off white/tan soft bristles. Had one like that years ago and have spent a lot of time trying to find another one, with no luck.
Yes that one was very hard to come across and I had this one for many years I do not recall the vendor we got it from but if my memory serves me correctly it was not from an automotive vendor I think it was marketed and sold for another industry but the openness of the hairs works great on more intricate wheel faces. the hair on the lighter brush is a bit softer than the black one.
I couldn’t find the link for the black-handled, stiff long and short nylon brushes. Are they extinct? As a senior, the long handle would be really helpful, and the big brush would be a really great with big tires on a big SUV. Your video was a great help. Thank you!!! Linda
yeah this customer send me a video using the modified Solo and the M12 and he walked around his entire car and foamed it in one shot but the only thing is he had to hold the M12 and the foamer at the same time but non the less for anyone who does not have a full size compressor or the needs for one these portable units are a great solution. Also shoot me the email regarding the Hyper Gloss
I already have they sell it at Auto Zone. it does not offer great correction properties with machine or by hand its more or less a protectant if you ask me. was not overly impressed to shoot a video on it. it works similar to the turtle wax stuff. our new Auto Fanatic Money Maker is a far better product for correction and defect removal even on ceramic coated cars.
@@autofanaticcars they said they made a reformulation that was better than ones at auto zone because the separation it is in a green bottle now instead of clear.
I have a new Charger Scat Pack with the satin black wheels, would you say that the EZ detail brush would scratch the barrel of my wheel? I have a microfiber barrel brush but the large 6 piston brakes won’t allow me to clean under them.
not sure it would scratch but the finish on those wheels inside the barrels has been very bad and inconsistent making cleaning an absolute bitch, the finish has lots of grab to it when you rub your hands over it so you really need a brush that will apply pressure against the caliper and barrel to get a good clean. Not sure what cleaners your using but consider trying our wheel cleaning foam mea concentrate system lots of Mopar guys are getting outstanding results on these wheels.
there good but they dust like crazy on the Stelvio making it a chore to clean wheels twice a week if there is a vibration under braking it can be an installation issue, bad worn rotor
yes you can i have videos on the channel showing engine bay cleaning and detailing using the Auto Fanatic Wheel Cleaning foam and various other tools i believe the last video was of my Alfa Romeo Stelvio if you search
Great demonstration. Have you tried using a Lambskin Wheel Mitt. That’s what I use to get behind the spokes. A bit messy if you don’t wear gloves but really effective .
Yes I have used the new Griots wheel mitts and they are fantastic but i honestly hate always wearing gloves or getting my hands wet if i can avoid it i prefer
For the Wollywarmit brush I would prioritize using the lug nuts portion first and then Switch to cleaning behind the wheels. That should help the whole getting wet portion.
I have and use them all except that wooly Wormit, too wide for higher spoke designs. Justin Labato showed me a trick for the bristle style brushes, he slides a 8 or 10 paper plate near the handle guard. Now your sneakers will stay splatter free!
I think adams just released a short handle boars hair wheel brush with rubberized edges. I think that’s your best bet if looking for that kind of wheel brush
That red and black one is not the typical speedmaster one. I have both and that one is a generic plastic bristle type brush sold on Amazon. The Speedmaster/ez detail brush is MUCH softer and doesn’t sling back as much. I use the red/black brush on my older jeep wheels where i dont care about scratching and its nearly impossible to get into the barrel with most other brushes. Edit: dude that OXO brush looks like it would work perfectly on my jeep wheels. Time to throw the red/black one in the trash.
you can keep those style brushes that is one thing i dislike when cleaning cars is getting myself dirty for no reason there are better options for sure than those. The woolies are great but could use some improvements in their design and materials to make them better but then it might be a cost to manufacture issue that most may not pay these days. Get the OXO Brush from Amazon or a local container store the knock offs are not the same FYI the bristles too soft and are useless.

What handles do you use?
Thanks Phil. The best on the tube.
thanks order one of those OXO brushes youll thank me
Hear ya on the speed master/ EZ Detail brush, but I've found as the bristles get some use the splash back becomes a lot more manageable

It's to scratchy, i would not use it on black gloss rims. Carpro Flat brush kit is way better.
Great video. I've had the Woolie Wormit new version. I fight the microfiber wanting to slide off the plastic handle once it gets fully wet. Do you get that?
Big problem with all brushes with a removable cover i use a plastic zip tie at end by handle it does help but over time it fails
@@autofanaticcars Thanks. I'll give that a try
How's the oxo brush on the m3 wheels?
Works well but front wheels have zero room behind brake calipers and barrel
Do where can you get the 1st brush? The custom one??
I was selling them on our website but due to materials that keep becoming harder to get we stopped selling
@@autofanaticcars ok, thank you

Thanks. Love your Alfa content. Love mine. And the flaps I ordered from you. Cheers!
Awesome, thank you!
im using the brush at 8:07 and it sucks at cleaning. too soft to agitate brake dust

I have a Worx pump that does great on all my modified foamers… love it.

cant find a brush to effectively clean the corners of my 2021 4runner trd pro rims. any suggestions? angle paint brush?
please try the OXO brush i swear it is so versatile and works amazing. Still my go to brush ever since I discovered it.
will do, thanks

Hi Phil, I just ordered the Solo Foamer. What is the best dilution for your wheel cleaner in this foamer?
everything is on our website product page
How's the Yellow Stuff brakes holding up on the Stelvio? I've heard of some people saying they would get vibration when breaking hard.
there good but they dust like crazy on the Stelvio making it a chore to clean wheels twice a week if there is a vibration under braking it can be an installation issue, bad worn rotor
@@autofanaticcars Thanks for the reply and info. Have you ever delt with Porterfield brake pads?
Is the oxo brush safe to use on gloss black rims ?
It's too scratchy. Get the new Carpro Flat Brush Kit. Amazing.
Can you also use Auto Fanatic wheel cleaner for engine wash?
yes you can i have videos on the channel showing engine bay cleaning and detailing using the Auto Fanatic Wheel Cleaning foam and various other tools i believe the last video was of my Alfa Romeo Stelvio if you search

head over to my IG and check my story i fixed this already with a prototype separate lug attachment

paper plate ha ha ha yeah i might waste time doing that, i simply hate those brushes period the OXO brush is far better and more fun to use.
A little larger would be nice but the oxo brush is great.
the OXO brush is freaking awesome i honestly can do most wheels just with that single brush these days.
@@autofanaticcars i bought two.
Just picked up the custom brushes. Kinda expensive hopefully they are worth it.
I will be fabricating them next week when you use them youll see how awesome they are and please report back

just ordered it to try out it looks neat but is not cheap was almost $60 after tax and shipping

What is your opinion on poor boys wheel cleaner? i respect your opinion sir
Great video, that speed brush throws wheel cleaner all over you. Shame because it's easy to use and effective.
Yes it does as i sit at my desk looking at the stains on my sneakers today lol
I just got that bottle brush. Amazing on rims thanks
Glad you like it because that brush is awesome and the best kept secret for detailing until i showed it.
My wife always ask, why do you need more brushes?
That yellow brush is more like a tire brush
they advertise it as a wheel brush i have had it for years and keep it around to do non car related cleaning with it.
Are you afraid of getting soap or wet when cleaning cars? Lol
A toilet bowl brush 😂
this is not a toilet bowl brush FYI it the OXO Brush is for cleaning glass bottles and it works amazing on wheels and inner barrels
