- The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has landed at dealers. The EPA Tacoma delay seems to be no more. However there does seem to still be a part shortage for new Tacomas with the swaybar disconnect.

Hey folks. I'm one of the ones who posted the original on facebook and such. And I got to drive it!
It's insane. Total rebuild, from the ground up. EPA has been cleared. Feels amazing and I personally had some concerns about the 4cyl. Those are a non issue.
Nice Adam! Thank you for sharing!
how is the the four banger a non-issue? did you put 100k miles on the truck? what is the WARRANTY?
It’s "legit". Legit overpriced. This was the TRD pro price when I bought my Tacoma in 2020. Insane.
It’s Toyota’s fault for increasing MSRP for many of their cars almost every year and the dealership’s fault for putting insane markup on top of them.
47K....for an SR5. Seriously.
The prices are insane. Toyota charging luxury prices.
A SR5 for 47k? Did i fall asleep and wake up on a different planet. Someones making some serious profits this year.
It does have almost 7 k in extras
My local dealership is selling an off-road for 53,000 totally insane
Head explodes! WTF, little did I know my 2020 tundra trd pro was a bargain. SMH. Toyota has lost their mind.
It’s a Toyota priced justifiable . Folks will pay just to be one of the first ones
But what if no one’s buys them?
My goodness, these Tacoma prices are outrageous. Hopefully you're able to get yours soon, John.
Here’s my advise to anyone that wants one of these. WAIT. Be patient, I know that’s hard to do as we all want to be the first to own the shiny new model. Trust me when I say that by around August or September, most Toyota dealerships are going to be flush with most of these non iForce Max power train models and there will be discounts off of MSRP to be had. If you don’t believe me, just go by your local Toyota dealership and see how many Tundras are sitting on the lot with 4-5000 dollar discounts before you even start the negotiating process. Patience will pay off for you if you don’t have to be the first to have this thing.
Great advice, might be a year or two but definitely worth the wait
Wow, that is a $50k truck after taxes here in CA. Absolutely ridiculous!!
The year is 2038. “The 2038 Toyota Tacoma is the best selling midsized truck. This 2 cylinder hybrid produces 650 pound feet of torque. All yours for the amazing price of $194,000!!!
Get in line! lol
Toyota's gone way too far with these crazy price increases. I have a feeling there will be a lot of 2024 Tacomas sitting on dealer lots!
It's not Toyota, it's the dealers.
@@westcoastplinkin6559it’s both.
@@westcoastplinkin6559Toyota is increasing the MSRP of all of their cars almost every year. It’s both Toyota and the dealerships. For example, the new Lexus GX is starting at ~$4k more than the outgoing GX460 does.
That is an absolutely absurd price on an SR5 Tacoma. Almost $50K for the second most basic trim! Toyota, I don't what you're smoking but you need to quit it ASAP!
Insane price. I paid 45K for a 2023 TRD OFF Road 4x4 premium.
I paid 35.1 K for my 2020 trd off-road with technology package in voodoo blue
Toyota is smoking 🚬
47k for the basic sr5 4x4 thats fucken crazy
I have a feeling these trucks are gonna sit on the lots for a while. Insane prices!
I hope soo. Screw these Steelerships
most of them are already taken
Hope so, too.
$1400 Port installed crap 😢
$47k on an SR5, the dealer can keep it on the lot for dirty Mike and the boyz to use it as the F-shack.
They call it a soup kitchen
Doubt it will sit.
Super pumped too pay $50,000 for a base truck guys!!! Lol.
Enjoy!
$47K doesn't seem to be a finalized number either 😕 🤔🤣
Price too damn high bro
You have to be out of your mind to paid $47K for an SR5 pickup.
How much is the TRD Pro or the trailhunter is going to be?
60-65k
2023 SR5 4x4 DC and I get better mileage than what 2024 sticker claims, paid $37k out the door March 2023. I thought that was too high then. $47k is insane.
47k for a double cab SR5 no thank you Toyota! Sorry that’s insane.
Get out of here 47k for. Sr5. That insane it should be worth 30
I am going to pick up my 2023 Tacoma TRD OR Access Cab for $42,043.97 out the door with tax (Honolulu 4.712%) and fees. I really wanted an Access Cab since the 2024 is going to be Xtra Cab style now like the Gen 1 Tacomas and older pick ups. I wish I had gotten one last summer like when my Stepmom got her’s (SR 4x4 4-cylinder Access Cab) so I could have the 4-cylinder since it traces its lineage to the 22R.
Crazy price. I don’t think the sr5 upgrade package gives you power seats.
Lol!! $47k for an sr5? Toyota’s lost their damn minds. I got my 2022 trd off-road with King suspension and it’s still cheaper than this 4 banger.
Glad I waited and got my 22 Tundra SR5 long bed with black rims and 33" tires for $42k, only had 16k miles and still plenty of time on bumper to bumper factory warranty... These prices are getting nuts
Nice. Enjoy!
A SR5 with the TRD off road pack had a 10k mark up in Toyota Dallas
Wth 47, is there a 5k mark up,,, shesshhhh
An SR5 is nearly $50k???????? Bruh, hard pass
Wow, in 2021 I bought my 2021 Tundra CrewMax Limited 4x4 for 51k, which is what 3k more than this Tacoma SR5. Oh boy, pricey!
If no one buys a Tacoma the prices will come down !
47k for a base model midsize pickup truck?
If you're willing to pay that much, Toyota will raise the price next year.
Every car base MSRP goes up every year
With those prices I’ll be hanging on to my 2019 for a long time to come.
Keep it forever because prices goes up every year.
Bahahahah 47K$ for a sedan motor and midsize truck???? Toyota is smoking D1CK on this 1..
Toyota shot themselves in the foot , tacomas will not sell they are too expensive
Tacoma dominate the midsize market so well that toyota can afford to lose more customers in exchange for a bigger price tag.
Let’s go!!!
Hopefully mine will be here soon.
Where is your 2024 Tacoma ? Other You Tubers already have theirs. I think it's because they bought ones right off the lot, I think you ordered one with more options and it'll be worth the wait.
Personally I like the TRD Sport, Love the look of the hood scoop ! Should be on the TRD OR as well.
Lol SR5 turbo four banger for $47,000 🤦♂️🤣. Come on man, for the love of God be serious 🤷♂️
Hopefully I can pick up a Trd off road in bronze oxide. Ready to see your reviews and see these in the wild!
That’s the dealer mine is actually going to (not my truck though) hopefully feb 1st build date!
Great for the person who can afford these, cuz I can't. Coming from an 01 4Runner though, that might be "worth" the upgrade down the road
$47k. 24mpg. SR5. JFC.
any idea when TRD lift kits be available as an option for the 2024 Tacoma?
No idea yet.
At that price point, I'd rather spend 10k more for a used Sequoia. Or spend 12k less for a used Tacoma.
Looking at the engine bay briefly on this sr5 I can see 3 cost savers for the manufacturer, No hood insulation, no hood struts, and no engine cover. Just a few years ago you could purchase a TRD PRO for the price of this sr5. There will be deals to be made on these new models for those who don't rush a purchase.
This shows where Toyota is headed. Cost savings over build.
I can fully understand why you would want to pass on the disconnect. You have to get your truck to get in the video review cycle. If I was buying one today, I would wait because the feature would be helpful to me offroading.
They cost too much
My local dealership is getting them in the next 3 weeks
Nice!!!!
I had one order 24 TRD Tacoma SR5 TRD Sport Premium it was 53,389 went with a tundra trd Sport premium instead way more truck for the same price.
Nice man! Congratulations on the new truck
Approaching $48k for an SR5 with a few add ons, lol no thank you
Nothing is cheap in America, people have voted for these people to print money and cause inflation
The packages add a bit for sure
Damn I've seen '24 Tundra SR5's at that price
I hope the pre runner isn’t to pricy. 🤞🏼
my vin ending 602 this being like 489 should be coming in any time now
Back seat on 23 model was excellent, I was able to hold both legs while I power drill. I kept hearing stop but in the Tacoma I had to max out deeper
Good dealership, I bought a 4runner there
Good to know!
I hope there is a Third Generation Ridgeline and fourth generation Passport
Curious will the gear hunting at 70 MPH be fixed with this generation?
I’ve had the 2006, 2016, and now the 2023, i have never had a problem with gear hunting. I don’t get what is going on with all the complaining. Maybe I’m just lucky. 🤷♂️ I traded the 2016 (absolutely no trouble with the 16) for the 2023 because i wanted to stay with the V-6. To each their own.
@@johnnyperdue363Perhaps if one lives on a flat prairie where there are no mountains or long steep grades to climb.
The $1,408 port installed accessories seems like a scam. Isn’t the truck made in Mexico? We have free trade agreements with Mexico and Canada so I’m pretty sure that’s a money grab
Yes it is. I’d try not to get any of that if possible
"port installed" really means the distributor added these super high-priced options.
Crazy so a 4 cylinder Gen 4 Tacoma is pretty much the same as a 6 cylinder gen 3 Tacoma MPG. I’ll keep my gen 3
It's not about mpg here. It drive leaps and bounds better than the 3GT
I'm thinking the Trailhunter I put a deposit down on is going to start ~ $80-90k, not including dealer markups. Thankfully, the deposit is refundable!
Wanted to trade in my Corolla for an sr5 but it seems like that won’t be a realistic option with those prices
Welcome to Arizona
Thank you.
Nope on that BS prices. I’m waiting at least 3-4 years before even thinking of getting one. I’ll keep my 2022 trd off-road access cab for a while.
It should be interesting when these UA-camrs get them and test them out.
Toyota of Kirkland has and 2024 trd off-road for 57,000!!!! It’s not even at the dealership wtf
Imagine 3-4 years more of inflation and increases.
@@TRDJon
especially if Bidens still running shit 😂
@@apa7611you might as well get it now or never.. msrp goes up every year. Unless ofcourse, you’re thinking about buying used.
47k for a sr5? Nuts
SR5 41k msrp ?
I’m really scared at what the HY pricing is going to be for these. I might end up in a Tundra yet…..Or nothing….
47,000 for no leather seats, wow what’s deal. I get these are nice, but not that nice. That’s low end full size territory
Imo I don’t even think they’re nice. Just big hunks of cheap plastic.
I rather have cloth seats. I love the fact that I have heated cloth seats in my Tacoma now
Outrageous prices, Toyota! And you’re purposely creating shortages to induce price increases
It’s a new vehicle.
❤❤❤
I always buy the last year in production vehicles, not the newest first year. This way all the bugs have been long worked out.
I did the same. loving my 2023 gen3 taco.
Yea but inflation at that point you end up paying 10K more
I’m about to go to boot camp I’m hoping things change in the next four months, slightly hopeful. Mostly doubtful.
What change?
@@TRDJonthe price
Sure, it will get more expensive in a year
Pros are gonna be 75K.
yup this sucks
47k is 10k more than I paid for my 2022 Tacoma sr5. But to be fair the 24 has all the creature comforts a 22 offroad premium would have had, minus sun roof and leather. Seems like a weird strategy to make a “base” model available with so many options.
The 24 SR5 does not have all of those features standard. The SR5 is a basic truck. It's $42k with no options.
I give Toyota credit for allowing people to at least get premium audio on the SR5s now. Too bad it makes the truck even more expensive, but it's good to have that option.
Seen it just this past weekend sr5,not impressed...I don't know.Would like to see the trailhunter so I can be sure the deposit I put last year Feb makes it worth waiting.
still doing add on- unwanted options - driving the price up !
Toyota will scratch their heads wondering why they lost market share. There’s no way I’m buying a Tacoma as my next truck if these sr5s I’m seeing for sale around me now don’t stop selling like they’re a 2023 Trd pro. Toyota might have lost a 4 time Tacoma owner forever
If a standard trim truck “costs too much”, you might be a poor. But by all means, blame someone else.
Toyota screwed the consumer for pure profit by offering packages as a la cart options instead of packaging options as standard equipment within a trim. If thats the case why not offer buyers to custom order a truck instead of relying on pre built allocations that might match up with what you want?
That is an insane price. I took my Lexus in for service last week at the dealer that has both Lexus and Toyota on the same lot. I looked around while I waited they had a 2024 Tundra SR5 TRD with skid plates and heated steering wheel with a MRSP a little over 55K with a sale tag in the window for 51K. Every Tundra on the lot was at least 4K off. I'm not sure how they plan to sell the Tacomas?
Perhaps also for at least 4k off.
@@dvader3263 not initially but perhaps by summer when inventory has built up.
Base MSRP for SR5 double cab is 37,200. So an MSRP markup of around 3k is not bad at all. 7k in accessories eh. But we'll see how dealers markup the TRDs
I still can’t wait to see a Ranger Raptor in Person… Hopefully by July or something 🤔
EDIT: I feel if Ford can get the Ranger Raptors and not Mark them up (We’ll See) they will probably sell really well and give Toyota some competition
I thought they were already marked up at dealers
@@TRDJon From what I’ve seen so don’t think so but people are getting build dates for them now
yea and there are 100% mark ups ive seen too
Toyota needs to talk to ford on how to build a quality sway bar disconnect. The Broncos are not messing around anymore
47k? What are toyota thinking? Hopefully, it loses its market share!
Loses to what? The other brands at the same price?
@@TRDJon yes Jon, that's the problem...
So then what are you getting at? I don't understand.
@TRDJon appreciate your replies Jon. I mean, trucks are getting very expensive for middle-class Americans. I wanted to get a new truck, but I had to settle with a used one, and I'm OK with it. I was trying not to spend so much in a depreciating asset.
Oh gotcha!
Are these truck in the dealers?
Or only who ordered?
Because in my city dealers has already and I did appointment for drive test and It was not what I expected
They are arriving at dealers yes.
Don’t like the tail pipe why so far back
Prices don’t surprise me anymore. I know in 1970 I bought my new Pinto of the showroom floor for $1,995 and I was like o shit now I have to pay for it.
Lucky to have survived driving it to tell us.
@@dvader3263 it blew up 2 yrs later but it was cheep. No kidding though a new car started at around $2,000.
No TRD or 4X4, only a double cab with a short bed, and no hybrid and this thing is $54K (or more) after taxes tags and doc fee.
My on the way 24’ trd or is 50k, who in there mind is paying 47 for an sr5??
My thoughts as well
I have a bone to pick with Toyota. Their cold wether package includes a few creature comforts but is missing something as basic as an engine block heater. Toyota doesn’t even list once as an accessory. While many people consider 40 or 50 degrees cold, I’m talking about actual cold weather operation.
It was -29°F at my house this morning. Those heated seats will be worthless if the truck won’t start.
Why does a gas engine need a block heater?
At -30° vehicles sometime start and sometimes don’t. Either way, it is much easier on the engine if it is not cold soaked to -30° as well. It is essentially running without oil circulating for the first few minutes.
Check the weather reports for Fairbanks, Alaska and I think it will become more clear. The trifecta is a battery blanket, block heater, and an oil pan heater. -50°F is not unheard of in central Alaska.
@@martin4749 what gas engines are coming from the factory with block heaters?
Ridiculous price for SR5! Go get a fully loaded 2023 for less!
8k more and you could have ordered a base ranger raptor
Good luck finding that...I've tried. This delay has dried up the high-end 2023 OR's and Pro's. With market adjusted premiums.
Toyota has lost their mind. 47k sr5 tacoma...? Head explodes!!!! My 2020 Tundra Trd Pro AG was a bargain compared to these new Tacos. And here I thought I spent alot for that truck. LoL!!!
Good luck selling over-over priced mid sized trucks with high interest rates too. I have a feeling the excitement will die fast when reality sets in for the consumers. Those who do buy early will never admit their buyers remorse out loud. Making their $1000 monthly payment while cringing. And the negative equity on the trade in that they over paid for during the covid
auto parts shortage.
What a mind Frack.
Build and price the highest trim gmc canyon it’s over 65 thousand dollars. Crazy prices but if you think about it, in another ten years we’ll be approaching 100 thousand for a mid size truck. And then reminiscing about how cheap 50 thousand dollars was.
Love toyota but F these prices you guys buy these things I'm not
LOL and still the small 8” screen or whatever it is.
Pay by the inch...😂
@@Yul-Uhluthat’s what she said.
We need to do away with dealers.
It’s happening people it’s happening nobody panic. Is all I can see from these Toyota fan boys get your 2024 truck half way through the year. I love Toyotas don’t get me wrong but they have went dumb the last couple years
could almost buy a 2023TRD pro for $47k
Plus $5K more
A dealer let me walk the other day trying to pay 55K for a TRD Pro with 1100 miles. The original MSRP was 53,500...they wanted 57k. They got it hours after I walked. Tacoma dealers are greedy right now.
I'll sell you mine for 49
$47K? No way. What the heck will the Pro and TH be going for??? Sorry Toyota, but I'll probably start looking at a 2024 ZR2 again.
yeah that is crazy for a base truck
