    I LOVE my 3rd Gen Frontier. Bought it for the naturally aspirated V6. You’ll NEVER see space shuttle miles out of those 4-pot turbos. Period.
    My Frontier is quiet, smooth, solid, and a joy to drive. The drivetrain is a gem. Loads of power and always in the right gear. Traded in my 20 year old Tundra with no regrets.

    Nissan Frontier all day for me. Naturally aspirated, less electronic gimmicks, easy to work on.

    • @beexiong2995
      @beexiong2995 Рік тому +10

      How is it easier to work on? That motor is huge and cramped in the engine bay. Not to mention all the extra moving parts because it's a V6 engine. It'd be a PITA to work on like all other nissan V6 engine bays. You look at the turbo 4 engines and its so compact. A single turbo is easier to remove. People see "turbocharged" and think its complicated and an electrical mess. When it is no harder than a stock exhaust header.

      @beexiong2995 that v6 will last longer. A v4 truck sounds like a terrible idea, or maybe it is for people who will actually tow stuff with it. If you are gonna use it as a car go with the v4 anyday.

    I’d go with frontier, sub 30K used 4x4 base model. Good 6cyl and transmission combo that’s been used since 2020 plus a lot of cheap materials on the interior I’m not afraid of scratching up. And the headlights aren’t LED’s so if things go wrong it’s cheaper to replace. Easy to do oil change at home and it still has the “old” looking interior with actual buttons and knobs instead of over the top touch screen display. All three look really good though.

Doesn't mean I won't buy one, but I need to wait and see how things shake out with all of this. Alot of the reasons i don't like nissan is superficial, looks too boxy and the name frontier, titan and Pro4X are just lame to read everytime I walk up to the truck. superficial I know, but taking into acccount the people who have nissan's in my area just use them as daily drivers, not much testing beyond that to know if it can be a reliable overland vehicle. They were all reliable and all got sold or written off. I honestly wonder if I'm just really lucky, or if nissan really does make bullet proof vehicles. But, either way, I'm so happy to see that they're so much love for the frontier, as its the under dog, and the oldest platform. Amazing, solid, price friendly truck. They neglected to tell you it has to work twice as hard and doesn't last. This was mostly due to gov't EPA regulations. Things eased, and smooth V6 and V8 engines came back. I predict it'll happen again. I don't buy the better turbo technology this time. I'm hearing a lot about the V6 twin turbo problems in the Tundra and same for Ford F150. The mechanical stress on those components creates accelerated wear and that’s going to create engine problems shortly down the road. I would NEVER buy a 4-pot turbo, especially in a truck.
