I love how they show that Slade is way too good for anyone of the Titans to take him one on one. Even two on one is iffy, which is how it should be. Slade is good enough to go toe to toe with people like Batman and Bronze Tiger, and in this show, you can see it.
The only thing they got wrong was the healing factor. He has one in the comics, but not in the show

The Matt Reeves Batman would beat Slade no problem
I love how this show showed how Slade can handle this whole team, just like the comics. As well as the amount of weapons they had him use. One thing though, is that his healing factor was pretty much disregarded. He has one of the best in DC comics, he just can't grow back that damn eye.
in the comics he did manage to get it back but because of it he was weak his fighting style adapted to him having only 1 eye with 2 he could bearly stand his ground after a while he riped it out

It’s actually due to his traumatized mind his wife in the comics shot it out and it never grew back

Batman is akin to Goku with the levelling up business. They should have brought Deathstroke back. I mean season 3 was alright but Scarecrow seemingly achieved more despite not even using fear gas. Anyone seen the old comics where Deathstroke was the protagonist and he actually saved people? There should be a series like that. Everytime he is the antagonist, he gets beaten up by the heroes despite them being mostly inferior to him. The guy can access 90% of his brain. Slade has far more than simply healing and and speed and strength. He could end Waller, the squad simply by using his mind. The animated Deathstroke film was closer to the original comics. The way Harley Quinn was in The Suicide Squad in the escape scene, that is how Deathstroke should be. Even Arkham Origins showed him in a better light. I just hate how they make him do stuff that only an amateur would do. He deserves more respect by the writers in comics and shows etc. They do it with Bane as well maaking him seem like a dumb brawler when he is intelligent.

Deathstroke in Titans was honestly my favorite adaptation of the character. There wasn’t anything really special but it’s the fact that unlike Arrow, you see the brutality of Slade here
To each their own, but Slade was pretty friggin' brutal in *Arrow* too... I loved how they spent the first season building him up in Lian Yu's flashbacks, so he wasn't a stranger like Merlyn was in the first (Malcolm was still a good Big Bad though).
Then season 2 gave up present & past scenes at the same time to make the viewer understand what happened between him and Oliver, and we slowly figure out that Deathstroke is insane and having visions, plus paranoia from the mirakura.
Great Big Bad, I was happy in season 6 when they brought him back for the small Jericho storyline; Deathstroke slaughtering the Jackals might have lacked in blood splatters, but it didn't lack in brutality.
And that final shot of Slade walking toward the smoke, and the last we see of him is his silhouette in full armor...

Arrow did a good job but it wasn't as accurate even the actor Manu Bennett said he wishes it was more accurate. I still enjoyed the action and story for that version of deathstroke either way

He was really well done in the Titans show, liked him. Mild spoilers for anyone who hasn't finished Season 2 for whatever reason, but I don't like that kind of just...beat him and that's it at the end of the season. I feel a villain like Deathstroke is one that has a lot more staying power than that and they should've kept him around, harassing the team until at least the end of Season 3. Then you could've had a the double-threat of the Titans having to beat not only Red Hood, but Deathstroke too.
The problem is, you only have 1 Grayson and while I’d love to honestly give Nightwing the respect he deserves and have a huge hand in defeating them both, ehhhhh…
DS was presented as a NW villain since he placed every bit of blame on him for the Jericho incident and, of course, Jason was definitely Grayson’s personal issue like Blackfire to Starfire…
And with Superboy and Star and Black, I mean…
Maybe with prep DS could handle them but technically Jason shouldn’t nor should Deathstroke…
So it is perfect they honestly kept them apart.
But that still would’ve been better than DS dying to something that should be completely nothing but a teeny wound for him.
best Deathstroke we have ever had, and he was the perfect actor for the job too.
That moment from 3:40 to 3:48, Deathstroke disarms Dick and swung his sword but then Dick simply back steps so quick, amazing. Amazing reflexes
That step back in my favorite move in the entire fight. At first I thought they used some camera trickery to make Dick faster, but after watching it in slow-mo, I guess it's possible to pull out? Plus, the sound effect makes it look like Dick's even faster.
it make no sense though, dick is a regular human fighting a man who was upgraded pass the human limit, batman and his family shouldn't even be able to beat him.

Deathstroke IS Always nerfed, i mean , if u count his ability and think objectively , he destroy Batman (without OP Armor) , the dude IS a boosted Batman . I think WE should Saw him more as an anti hero than an antagonist (like in some comics were he saves people)
Deathstroke should beat Batman 8/10 times, with his abilities alone he can predict and react to Batman accordingly. He's like Steve rogers essentially, so Bruce Beating Slade in a straight up fight makes little sense to me.
Yes on a one on one fight he will destroy bruce but if we give bruce prep time he will most probably come on top

the only good thing this trash show did justice and accurately to the comics where he has his iconic staff and can sense Robin's presence from his heart beat like a superhuman should be but his death was dumb

That sword through him can't stop him either he has an impressive healing factor except he can't grow back lost limbs and he was once shot by dozens of bullets at once and still he recoverd in an hour or two. But in this video they just undermined this ability of his

Slade can think 9x faster than normal humans, has a healing factor (along with high grade armor that is hard to pierce) is a sharpshooter, a master swordsman, has supersoldier strength, and an expert in hand to hand combat.... logically, he should be able to take out Batman in a 1 on 1... and should be able to take out all of Batman's sidekicks (and former sidekicks) at their peak, at once.
Hmmm… Cry more fanboy…

Batman was trained by the league of shadows and knows all of those martial arts and all that, but he is literally a peaked human, and nothing more. DS has been chemically enhanced, has a healing factor, has an insane super IQ, and more. Don't be a little b*tch please.
@@Artryom literally the only reason Deathstroke loses to the bat family, is because the plot demands it. Good triumphs over evil in fictional stories, but that generally isn't the case in reality.

Rocksteady should’ve made a Deathstroke game. It would’ve been sick, give us a good story, combat would be stick with different weapons, could have some side mission be contracts.
The scenes with the M107 is probably the least over exaggerated 50 cal snipers ever.

Another thing that bewildered me was that his sword could come apart and be used as 2 and that his bo staff had a knife like tip and a gun, I don't know who thought of it or who made it but Deathstroke has some seriously good connections.

I got my criticisms about this show, though for the most part i think - while not being great - is still an above average action tv show in general, (not just comic-book tv-show adaptations). And this season with Deathstroke was fuckin outstanding! They really did Slade justice, he was so badass, and though his armored suit and mask/helmet is certainly looks to be on the cheaper side, that said it's still leagues ahead of "Arrow's" version of Deathstroke. Then there's some really cool extras - like him actually using his power-staff, (though in comics i believe it was an energy weapon and not a gun), and his swords are far cooler and more undue looking than your run of the mill katana's that u see him using in both the aforementioned "Arrow" as well as a number of animated series/films. On top of all that, the actor playing him absolutely killed it. However there are two big criticisms of their Deathstroke: the first being the fact that, (just like in "Arrow"), the actors casted to play him aren't nearly as huge as Slade should have been. Slade is ripped while also being damn near a head taller than any he faces off against. Not that the two actors sucked, they both were great - just way too damn short. I mean, they're not even average in height, they both a little shorter than average for fuck's sake. Setting that nit-pick aside, the other criticism i have is far more important - and that's the way he was ultimately defeated. Firstly, it seemed as if he was severely nerfed or somethin, while also having both pretty poor choreography along with being terribly lit - ya couldn't see half of what was going on on the screen. It's almost as bad in the lighting department as the Black Noir vs the Female alley fight scene in "The Boys" season one, where you saw even less of what was fuckin happening.

Ah yes, the "WOW THAT SUIT LOOKS COOL!!!!" costume design that clearly wasn't meant for flexible dynamic fight choreography. That's always been the weird thing about this version of Deathstroke. The suit looks absolutely amazing when presented in scenes of no action (like Slade just standing, walking, or the suit being in storage). But once the character engages in a fight scene that requires a lot of movement, the suit looks a bit altered and the actor looks awkwardly stiff in motion most of the time. Whereas the one on Arrow seemed a bit more intentionally tank-like in both design and fighting.
I wonder how this universe batman would do in a fight against slade.

I think the most important details to keep consistent with Deathstroke comes down to three things. First, he is next level intelligent. 170 is almost unmatched. Second, He loves not only his job, but the hunt. The enjoys the planning, the chess moves. Lastly, he's an asshole. He isnt kind to just about anyone. He is manipulative, aggressive and rarely holds his tongue to anyone. He is the best of the best and he owns that even in the worse ways.
Also, they heavily underpower the guy in this show. In the comics and even animated shows, he often takes on multiple heroes simultaneously and has far better coordination on controlling the battlefield and not getting locked in a melee

The movie itself is fine but I think they nerfed Deathstroke by a lot here. Every time he got someone to the ground, he would either walk away or wait for them to get up which gets annoying to watch by some time. He even had really good healing which was disregarded completely.

@@barry2349Nope. Deathstroke is nearly as capable at sniping as Deadshot is. On top of that he's a literal Super Soldier with enhanced strength, speed, durability and healing factor. He also uses nearly the full mental capacities of his brain which allows him to think faster than most opponents. Aka he's already 5 steps ahead of you.
Death Stroke is like a Mix of some Marvel Characters, like Captain America (Super Soldier and super Human skills), Punisher (Weapons/Gadgets, training, Backstory), and of course The more Obvious one Deadpool (Healing Factor, similar Appearence and Fighting style)
Death stroke debuted earlier in comics than deadpool.

Cant believe they never even mention he was weakened at least. The vid showed his weakness "Jericho". He was already weakened and couldnt heal. Aldo seen when he threw his knife, it did not went as far as it normally would have.
Also bullets travel faster then sound normally so to here the shot turn around and then get hit is

The one mistake Robin made (besides fighting Deathstroke) was throwing the pyrotechnic in front of himself. They are thrown in front of enemies. Otherwise, great acting.
I love this Deathstroke but whenever I think of Titans and Slade I always remember the fact that we got jipped in the Original Teen Titans show about what happened with his mask and with Terra
