Why is Deathstroke's origin always tied to other characters now? The League of Assassin's, being stranded with Green Arrow, being friends with Alfred?
Joe Swansonson because giving characters personal histories makes for good stories
Easier to introduce him into different continuities.
Green arrow one was pretty good even tho it wasnt the og story
my personal favorite backstory for him is that he was friend's with gordon freeman until the resonance cascade, where he then stole gordon's hev suit for his own needs and after he found out gordon was hunting him for the hev suit, he made it into a combat suit
and in 1 fight with gordon, they were down to just knife to crowbar, and gordon is able to overpower deathstroke and hit him in the eye with his crowbar, making him lose it

I loved the Arkham Origins boss fight for Deathstroke it was so cool fighting someone basically equal in skill to Batman

I prefer the original where his wife shot his eye out, gives him more backstory and grants more significance to that specific injury and that he isn't ENTIRELY without remorse or conscience. As he did (you can still debate it-but I personally believe) love his family and attempted to have a normal loving relationship with them.

I love Deathstroke’s origin in Arrow. He went from a some sort of stranded secret agent to becoming a friend of Oliver Queen (Arrow) and even training him. His backstory is just so much interesting in Arrow because he actually sort of created the “Arrow”

Adeline shooting Slade’s eye out is easily the best version.
Arrow made Deathstroke a really next-level villian in my opinion. They made him a person rather than a weapon (something I feel like hadn't ever been accomplished before the New 52). Also, "Take it or leave it" is my favorite final panel in any comic I've read. So badass.
My all time favorite version of Deathstroke losing his eye would have to be the Arrow version as well. It's pretty facinating (and even a bit sad and tragic) imo, but I do agree that it was a little bit forced with the whole "Oliver stabs his eye with an arrow" thing. But that is just me! :)

I'm pretty sure that it was his own damn fault, he had the Batcave rigged to blow, but while he was fighting Batman, he blasted one of own bombs, making it blow up right in his face
Slade is my personal favorite dc character. Hes menacing, hes badass, some versions give him spurts of humor, his backstory makes it easy to feel bad for him a lot of the time, and hes all around powerful as crap and could wipe out the entire justice league if he really wanted to, with the right weapons and motive/payer. Hes a mercenary so many times he only does things if he has to, has a vendetta, or was hired

Damian Prock, no it has nothing to do with their fight in issue 7. I will admit that their fight in Tony S Daniel's run was better, but the story telling and character made Wolfman's Deathstroke awesome.

I think it makes sense he would sacrifice his eye. He is already used to not having that eye, so it probably didmt affect him that much, which is why he removed it. Because it was the easiest to adapt to

That’s the problem with all the cw shows they should’ve stopped after season 3. As for batwoman, that flaming heap of garbage should’ve never aired.

Fact: Deathstroke helped Jason Todd Escape Arkham Asylum
In the Arkham Knight timeline, it is a fact but a really stupid way for Deathstroke becoming the militia leader after Todd's disappearance in Arkham Knight but that is my opinion.

I liked the part in 'Son of Batman' where Deathstroke & Batman have their one and only fight scene. It doesn't last very long though. Batman knocks him unconscious as easily as if he were swatting a fly, one punch, and the fight's over. I also liked that in the final fight scene between Damien & Deathstroke the 10y/o wasn't able to outfight him and instead had to outsmart him to win. That, at least, was within the realm of possibility, outfighting him, not so much.
IN THE RECENT RUN OD *DEATHSTROKE INC. FROM 2021* THEY CHANGED THE ORIGINS OF BOTH, OLIVER & SLADE, & NOW IS OLIVER WHO TOOK OFF DEATHSTROKE'S EYE IN ONE OF THEIR FIRST ENCOUNTERS

I always hated the smallville version of Deathstroke.
Before this video I only new of The arrow version it also is still my favorite.
