This concert was on January 9,1970 Jimmy’s 26 birthday, his mother knitted his sweater vest, Jimmy is the oldest of the 4 of them. Robert & Bonham are 21, & I believe JPJ is 24 his birthday is in January also, so still really young. The live long version of this at Madison Square Gardens (1973) is really amazing, it’s like 35 minutes long, sadly you can now only see it watching their movie. Yes they are definitely some amazing musical geniuses. Thank you for your reaction, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
@gsxrkz Roberts top end was gone true but he could still sing from 77 onwards. Jimmy was the weakest link post 75 due to injury and heroin but they still had moments of brilliance. Achilles last stand Knebworth being 1
The call & response moments between Page & Plant are always absolutely incredible!! Amazing how they all fed off each other and could harmonize and blend naturally together so well. And Bonz & JPJ are in that pocket groove?!! Goood Lawd!! Rock On Brother!
You should also go through every song on every album in chronological order so you can really understand how the band developed over the years it should be the only way to listen to Led Zeppelin plus all there live performances that are available to watch
Loved the LZ1full album stream - looked like you were having fun! This performance takes place on Jimmy's 26th Birthday (Jan 9, 1970) He is wearing a sweater that his mother hand knit for him for his birthday (I know but it's true!) JPJ is days short of his 24th birthday while John and Robert are both still 21. Imagine being this locked in and blowing the music world up at 21!

Wait….did you just say that Robert and the boys would be 29, 30 in 1970? Um….no. Robert was 21 in January of 1970, when this concert occurred., as was Bonham. It was Jimmy’s birthday, so he turned 26 that day.
Fantastic? Yes, most definitely. But their 1973 MSG version of DAZED AND CONFUSED is the best live rock performance ever. It looks and sounds great, because it was filmed as part of major motion picture. And it's 28 minutes long! You need to see it to believe it. Insane!
Thanks for doing this one, this whole show is fire! Please don't miss "I Can't Quit You Baby" live from this same show! It's the one where you kept saying you thought it was the best song from the first album, and you just gotta see it live, trust me! ☮️❤️

Anything from the royal Albert hall 1970 show is just off the charts 👌
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
I believe they would have been in their early 20s in 1970. What's hard to imagine is how loud they were. They made our teeth rattle and we loved it.
Zeppelin is my favorite band.
Mine too!!
EVERYTHING from this gig is incredible
They always did a lot of improvising live! They were so damn GREAT! and they are the GOAT!
Definitely
Jonesy is killing it on the bass!
they were untouchable live!!!
In the early days, late 70s was a bit of a disaster.
@@gsxrkz it was mixed late 70s
@Scoobydcs Robert's voice was gone, Page was a disaster, so mostly bad, Unfortunately.
@gsxrkz Roberts top end was gone true but he could still sing from 77 onwards. Jimmy was the weakest link post 75 due to injury and heroin but they still had moments of brilliance. Achilles last stand Knebworth being 1
@Scoobydcs yes I agree 👍, Things would never be the same after 75. Just stating that that's Zeppelin at there very best 69 to 75
Trust me, no one sleeps on the drums. Bonzo is top 3 on any list you look at and most people, including myself and many drummers consider him #1.
The call & response moments between Page & Plant are always absolutely incredible!! Amazing how they all fed off each other and could harmonize and blend naturally together so well. And Bonz & JPJ are in that pocket groove?!! Goood Lawd!! Rock On Brother!
Every Dazed is a work of art! so glad you got that. Great reaction. The entire concert is fabulous, btw. Thanks☮
I Can't Quit You Baby from that same concert is wonderful. I also recommend How Many More Times live in Danmarks Radio 1969.
I love the studio version. I never saw this live!! Wow ❤
Whole Lotta live and since I been loving you are Epic
❤❤❤❤❤yeah!! Vintage Led Zep- nice✅👍🏻🎶❤️
Keep doing all their live performances!! The 1973 one is 28 minutes of crazy!
Thanks!
they CONSTANTLY improvised live, they never played any song the same way twice, EVER!
Well Eddy spend a lot of time watching and learning from Jimmy.
You need to do the Madison Square Garden concert 28min long the greatest performance ever
You should also go through every song on every album in chronological order so you can really understand how the band developed over the years it should be the only way to listen to Led Zeppelin plus all there live performances that are available to watch
His voice is shot by then bruhhh

This was 1970!!!! Way ahead of the future
"I can't quit you babe" from the same concert pls.
Robert and Bonzo (drummer) are the two youngest, and both were just 21 years old here. Jimmy was the oldest, and this show was on his 26th birthday.
I was too. But my mom raised me on it. It's badass
Both Robert Plant (vocals) and John Bonham (drums) were 22 here, Jimmy Page (guitar) was 26, and John Paul Jones (bass) was 24.

Just found and so far loving your content 😮
There's a live version of this on UA-cam that's 42 minutes long.

I like the studio version too.
Great video 😮
29 30? This is 1970 The Zeppelin boys were in their early twenties!
U gotta do black sabbaths paranoid album !
😂 i was in first grade lol
spot the part they drop mars bringer of war into it!!
they were between 22-26 yrs of age by then
Eddie VH was great. But I’ve seen both guitarist live, Jimmy and Eddie. Page could make your face melt. What he did/does is so much harder to do.
Robert and bongo were 19 and John Paul jones jimmy were 20
1973 Madison Square Garden, it's even better.
Actually its the best they ever did.
How can Eddie Van Halen's name come up in this moment of Jimmy Page's genius?
I think Eddie used a power drill on the guitar strings for at least one song.
