What a great reaction! Im 69 years old..i saw Led Zepplin live for $4.50..i held on to that half torn ticket stub for years...but lost it through my many moves in life...watching it now through you, for your first time is a really big treat for me..I cant wait til you get to...Since Ive Been Loving You...i think its the III(3rd) album..dont do live version, please do studio...thanks for the memories!✌️💞
The boys in Led Zeppelin were definitely from an earlier time than Stevie Ray Vaughan. But while SRV openly idolized Jimi Hendrix, he was also quite influenced by Jimmy Page as well.
Greetings from Canada. You're hearing Blues Rock with pure Blues call and response... Robert sings what Jimmy plays, and Jimmy plays what Robert sings. Sublime. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Taking the blues to the dirtiest depths of my soul....love it...I love how you instantly felt it😂😂 That was an eargasim you just experienced 😂 Apparently back in the day someone asked Robert how it felt to be the best singer in the world and he said I don't know ask Burton Cummings from the Guess Who 😂 All reactors need to put respect on Robert's name. Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
And now the harmonica has to jump in there and get some too! Dude, you are cracking me up, but it's great to see you really absorbing this. I was in grade school and this came out, but of course as I got a little older I bought all their albums as they came out. They were huge. Just absolutely huge and definitely ahead of their time.
After you finish reviewing the first album, review the 2nd one too. That's the best way to listen to Zep. Go in order of the albums and listen to their evolution of songs.
The band was influenced by old-time delta blues. That was the inspiration for much of their music. For instance, "When the Levee Breaks" is a cover of a song from thr 1920s, about a big flood in Alabama and/or Mississippi. It's the way, way, way back time machine.
1. Bonham drags the beat around the house like a sack of hippy folk singers. 2. At 6:45 the cascade of guitar and drums is life changing. 3. I knew this song would get you.
I think it makes it a little easier if you just think about a list of top singers in rock music. Especially classic rock, then for me anyway, he's definitely in the top five for me.
If you can find it the live 29 minute version of dazed and confused will change your life. Jimmy page plays electric guitar with a cello bow. like a violin. There is a blue ray/ DVD if the whole madison square garden show. The song remains the same. Great reaction also.
Nice! Souped up psychedelic blues rock! Shout out to John Paul Jones for those killer gospel organ runs. Led Zeppelin was a generation ahead of SRV. Led Zeppelin formed in the sixties during an era when nearly all of the emerging guitar heroes played the blues. SRV broke out in the eighties during an era when only a few emerging guitar heroes played the blues.
It's common for a reactor to skip a song or songs on an album when they go for the full album after having had reviewed the song sometime in the past, but because this is so incredible and you are acclimating yourself to their sound, stuff is good can be listened to over and over again really for eternity, and you will always notice something else about it. I personally would love it if you just mention that you're acted to it before but now it's in a new context of the album and I just think it would be fascinating.❤
This is one of my very favorite studio songs, it has that beautiful blues groove. They all are absolutely amazing, but Plant has the perfect vocals for blues, well to sing anything actually, he could sing the phone book & make it sound great. Not many have his amazing range tone & textures that he has, he’s my favorite singer, & was perfect for this greatest band ever. Plant is far higher up then in the top 20, & I’ve heard a lot of vocals too, top 5 & for me he’s number ONE!
Each of the 4 members were top-tier musicians in their respective fields. You've already talked about Plant's vocals (did you also know he's the one playing harmonica?) Jimmy Page is always listed as among the best / most influential guitarists ever. John Bonham is arguably the best drummer ever. (95% of the time the debate boils down to him or Neil Peart) And what can I say about John Paul Jones: he plays bass & keyboards, is an arranger (think of orchestral arrangements & the like) but he's done so much more, and is extremely active still to this day, as a collaborator, session musician & producer. Massive list of post-Zeppelin contributions. Brilliant musician. Easier to quote from his Wiki: "Jones is widely considered to be one of the most highly influential and important bassists, keyboard players and arrangers in the history of rock music." So, yeah. And you're only 3 songs in!
Love this song, the entire album. So glad that you're enjoying it. Album 1 is excellent, but album II is considered even better so I hope that you keep going! :) Edit: Maybe I misunderstood but were you thinking that Robert Plant was on guitar? He didn't play guitar for Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page did. Aside from vocals, Plant was also on the harmonica!
Jimmy Page was amazing on this track, both guitar playing and producing. I was fortunate to have met Mr. Peter Grant many years ago, and I remember him being rather saddened over the fact that Jimmy never got the credit he deserved for being one of the greatest music producers who ever lived (in my mind, Jimmy is of equal stature to Sir George Martin). My band opened for Edgar Winter many years ago, very friendly fellow, but I believe he is a decade or more younger than Jimmy Page. Peace
1969 was a big year for white dudes to release blues songs. It was the year Johnny Winter's first album was released--& JW played at Woodstock that year.
Led Zeppelin is older than Stevie…plus they copied a lot of old ass blues players like this one but hell they made these songs their own and crushed them. I’d say go ahead sue me 😂
The band are Magnificent... Full stop. I love your feeling brother...
Robert plant is playing harmonica.
Mug, don't think I've ever seen you enjoy yourself more.

You are reacting to a 19 year old Plant, as is Bonham.
@@jamesscura7122both were 20, Bonham in May, & Robert in August, this was recorded late September early October. Still amazing no matter their age.
That's a great memory!
Totally enjoyed your reaction to one of my all time favorite bands.
The boys in Led Zeppelin were definitely from an earlier time than Stevie Ray Vaughan. But while SRV openly idolized Jimi Hendrix, he was also quite influenced by Jimmy Page as well.
Great reaction, this is timeless. I am enjoying your discovery of Led Zeppelin.

Absolutely!!!
Dirty, gritty, from the depths of your soul blues.
Like your reaction. The best sound. What a production.❤
You're in the club now darlin. Best rock n roll blues band evah!
😂❤
JPJ on that organ! Oh my my!
And now the harmonica has to jump in there and get some too! Dude, you are cracking me up, but it's great to see you really absorbing this. Jimmy Page was the guitarist. Robert Plant was the singer/harmonica player.

That's what my son Kazzila is doing on my advice he just experienced his first eargasm after the first LP review 😂

I totally agree
My favorite song by Led Zeppelin ❤
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤

Here for it!
1. Bonham drags the beat around the house like a sack of hippy folk singers.
2. At 6:45 the cascade of guitar and drums is life changing.
3. I knew this song would get you.
Muddy Waters.... Originally wrote this. Heh...great choice.. 🎸❤
One of their very best!🎶🎵
Willie Dixon wrote this.
@@nothus53 Willie helped with the lyrics, but Muddy wrote the song.

I love the look on your face!!😂😂😂 Ive been doing that for years on Zepp music

This song is SO good!!

There is a live performance of LZ when they first started on Danish radio/TV (Dansk Radio?) and I believe they performed this. On UA-cam.
I think it's the best blues song that was ever produced written created and yeah plant gets all of respect and so does Jimmy and everyone else
S tier sorcery! Love it!✌️
That's slide guitar magic.
Good one Mugs
They were in their early 20"s when they produced this album!
Yeah ❤
Love it!
GOAT!

First listen to your reaction channel in 😮
I've heard that Robert Plant used to practice in the sewer pipes to get his voice that high.
Dude, there's a generation between Plant and Vaughn. Your Zep reactions are epic.

Robert took us into his bedroom for this one❤
Wait till you get to the end
He just sounded SEXY
Robert Plant is older than Stevie Ray Vaughan. JPJ on organ and bass (at the same time). Robert on harmonica.
Robert Plant predates Stevie Ray Vaughan by 20 years

Makes you think differently of the boomer generation? Hell yes, we had the best of the best. 😂😎
In your face ear splitting blues..
1969 was a big year for white dudes to release blues songs. It was the year Johnny Winter's first album was released--& JW played at Woodstock that year.
Don't skip it!!!
ROBERT is #1 in Rock
SRV came along way later
Stevie came later.
Led Zeppelin predates Stevie Ray by about 10 years.
