- Hey Good People,
It's hard to hide my excitement in this video. Just a little over a week ago, my cousin Jon over at JDM parts garage challenged me to a Drag Race. It's extremely short notice, and I am low on funds, so he thought it would be fun if we raced crap box cars! Me and the crew accepted the challenge and now we're in a race to finish the car in time.
In this video, follow me along as we get started on building our Drag Car! I hope you enjoy this video as much as I loved making it.

I knew they were in Atlanta I can tell by the trees I'm from Dallas and when I visited ATL I was just amazed by the trees that are around the apartments and shops.. yall are the true country lol we don't see these trees unless we go outside Dallas
You could probably run the drain back into the oil cap due to the location 😁edit Im 53 mins in and you got that part figured out already 👍👍 super excited for this series
Dodge 🐌 snail and a decal on the front fender is a must
A couple of racing tips doc:
1. Show up to the race with as minimum fuel in your tank as possible to minimize vehicle weight
2. When you get to the line, don't push the brake pedal all the way down as if you were at a stop sign. Push it in just enough to where the car stops, that way the brakes don't need to open up as much to release the car. It'll save you milliseconds but in a race every second counts.

It is funny how Alex The Car Doctor, works on so many Mopars, you'd think he would get something else to drag race but he stuck to FCA / Mopar, although this generation Dart is Fiat in disguise.

I know with me is that they are uniquely different from other vehicles and they stand out, not only bc of styling but also bc how they can make high performance vehicles for 90% off the cost of an exotic car like Ferrari, and deliver similar numbers!

You know it is funny that you mentioned that, bc out of all the vehicles that on the road that are over 10 years old in my neck of the woods up here in the Toronto area, are:
1) Toyotas
2) Hondas
3) Mopars.
4) Mazda
I hardly see any other makes that are on the road after 10 years.
I guess it is bc when the engines have issues on Mopars, it is usually the top end of the engine that needs work, such as the valves, lifters, pushrods, camshafts and head gaskets. That is a lot cheaper than fixing the small blocks that you need to replace on many Hyundais, Kias, Nissans, GM's and Fords bc of oil consumption, piston rings, or bottom end issues.
Mopar pistons, rods, blocks, and bottom ends are well engineered because they are forged metal which makes it very strong!
@@AlexTheCarDoctor Do you find that Mopar owners are a more satisfied bunch and that is why they don't mind spending money on their vehicles?
Alex I just have a bad feeling about that VW turbo, those things are spooky fast I wish I could come down and port that head, that would give you a chance I still think your cousin is playing you he knows what he has but a lot of fun anyhow, you know I am on your team win or lose but it is always more fun to win, still time to get a bottle if that thing has an airflow sensor and I think it does you could run a small jet and no need for extra fuel another 50 HP for you!!!

For the turbo per google indicates "between 100,000 RPM and 150,000 RPM" for bikes and cars but i did see other results indicate up to 350,000 RPM. It made me laugh because i finally read your shirt. She should have known the answer then 😂

I even hold title before I will do a major repair, some people do not go for it but have my parking lot all cleaned out, not going to have cars sitting that the customer has given up on yes you can get a lien or the police will tow it but that is not paying the bills

I would pull that head and get a die grinder to work, just a port job would get you there, and a new head gasket and all the valves sealed up, I did a saturn SL2 for my son years ago it was a very fast car yes we milled the head and did some other things but this car ran 12.7 in a quarter mile on the street (it was an automatic) you had to have your hands on the steering wheel on the 1 2 shift it would break the tires loose and change lanes I paid 400 bucks for it what a lot of fun but porting the head is what did it not everyone can do that, it is an art at that time Don Johnston from DCI motorsports had his shop next to mine he looked at the head before I put it on and said yes you went all the way on that one I just said only have 400 bucks to loose we want to go fast!!!!

Actually if that turbo works out it's gonna wake that Dart up. It's all in good fun, but you gotta crush that Vdub. Can the bottom end handle that turbo? I'm more of a supercharger guy myself.

it is hard back when I started at a Cadillac dealer training was free now you have to pay for it the tire stores and fast lubes are a dead end best to find an independent shop and find something you are good at
