- In today's furniture flip I found 2 matching Ethan Allen Nightstand at my local thrift store. This thrift flip puzzled me with its outdated style and curves. I was inspired by @BrushedbyBrandy and a video where she painted some oversized nightstands. This makeover covers how to paint over pine, I use a great alternative to wood fill that will save you money, prevent bleed thru, and add a textured layered look to these old nightstands giving them a new lease on life. I love how you are supporting the Salvation Army. This was a charity my Nana aways donated to as a huge thank you to how the Salvation Army supported her and her sister when at 16 & 18 years of age immigrated to Canada from Scotland. They are a wonderful agency and have been true Christian’s in my view for over 100 years.

I agree with the person who said, don't doubt yourself. Your furniture has never been my style, I'm a mid century modern person, BUT I love your unusual techniques and interesting pieces. You have a beautiful personality which makes watching so calming. I want you know and believe that. Life would be so boring if we all liked the same style.

Since I found your channel I realized there's no reason to doubt your vision. I will admit I do not always share your 'vision' but I believe in you and your skills so I focus on having patience. The faux linen technique seems to be the most challenging to imagine yet your determination always ends with amazingly beautiful results. In my mind it could be your most unique Signature Style - always gorgeous. I have always been drawn to the unique things in life. Nothing cookie-cutter for me. This technique definitely appeals to me. Kudos to you for your skills, vision and determination - and of course thank you for sharing via your channel.

Of course they went quickly!!! They are gorgeous. I enjoyed the final paint finish very much, you make me suspend my disbelief. All those colours ended up being subtle but not bland. Yes, I will try this cross hatching, I have to now since these gals are gone. Haha I can't wait to go to Australia with you. Great job AGAIN, Sarah.⭐⭐❤️

These nights stands are gorgeous! The paint technique you used takes these to a new level. I am embarking on this paint tecnique today, for a set of pretty terrible mdf nightstands. Channeling an inner "Sarah" vibe, to knock this out.

I saw Brandi's video but was intimidated (she is so artistic!) but seeing how you managed to transform these nightstands I am inspired to try it on a little bookcase I have that has sat waiting for Godot since before lockdown lol You always manage to transform "meh" & "ick" pieces into gorgeous works of art. Simply fab. Most painted pieces look better from a slight distance but I love the close up shots of these where I'm able to see each colour and each brush stroke. It makes me want to touch it to feel the texture. The contrast of the smooth top really finishes them off perfectly. Definitely one of those "trust the process" projects though😆.

Sarah, I WISH I could BLEND the way that you do!!!! I tried to Blend on an End Table that I'm gonna try and sell. The Blending DID NOT COME OUT WELL AT ALL, so I decided to use Two Colors on the Piece. Hope that it turns out well!!!! Wish Me Luck!!!!
