Honestly, that moment with Iris and Dragonite was one of the highlights of the battle, and shows how far she’s come as a dragon master, as well as her friendship with Ash.
The Counter Shield was also another one of my favourites! Honestly, I hadn’t even thought about that Draco Meteor detail until you pointed, with the high level of friendship with Ash (and reassurance from Iris that Dragonite has Ash’s full support) helping Dragonite learn Draco Meteor.
I just realized that’s also probably why it took Gible such a long while to fully master Draco Meteor 😅
Here's a video idea: My pokemon elite four.
It's inspired by Bird Keeper Tobi idea + Mandjtv idea. ("Rules: You can only used trainers which aren't champion - 2: You can only used their rematch team or Pokemon league team when making your Pokemon league - 3: No postgame legendaries or mythical pokemon's - And 4: Only 5 Fully evolve Pokemon for each Elite four member")
1st of my elite four - Flint the fire type specialist of the Sinnoh Elite Four ("Team: Houndoom, Flareon, Rapidash, Infernape + His ace Magmortar")
2nd of my elite four - Mustard the former champion/fighting type gym leader of Galar ("Team: Mienshao, Luxray, Lycanroc, Corviknight + His ace Kommo-o")
3rd of my elite four - Colress the former Team plasma scientist ("Team: Magnezone, Rotom Wash, Metagross, Beheeyem + His ace Klinklang")
4th/Final elite four - Raihan the Dragon type specialist of Galar ("Team: Torkoal, Goodra, Turtonator, Flygon and Achuradon")

I love this battle! It was truly a welcome return for Iris. I like how he reintroduction was very similar to the start of the black and white series when Goh mistook Iris for a Pokémon just like how Ash did back then.

This is my version of Ash vs Iris if they had a full 6v6 in the Masters 8
Ash's team
Scrafty (Z-Move), Charizard, Krookodile, Dragonite, Garchomp, Serperior
Iris's team
Haxorus (Z-Move), Excadrill, Dragonite, Hydreigon, Flygon, Goodra
I sort of had the same idea but I replaced Iris’s Dragonite with Drudiggon. Mostly because I don’t like Iris’s dragonite plus I feel like the disobedient dragon type would make more sense with Hydreigon than Dragonite since it’s from her own region.
Iris: Dragonite, Excadrill, Emolga, Haxorus, Garchomp and Druddigon
Ash: Leavanny, Krookodile, Unfezant, Boldore, Pignite and Palpatoad

How come you never mention the voice actors for Ash or Goh?
Cuz the videos I’ve done so far don’t focus on Goh since he’ doesn’t really battle plus I’m not a fan of Goh’s English dub VA but that’s besides the point. And Ash’s VAs are largely known about already so I don’t feel a need to mention them
Let be honest iris should wish without losting any of pokemon at this ash team have very low battle experience while all iris team is strong and much higher levels
Yeah I really hate that they made her a champion only for her to lose in both of her battles. To me, it just feels like they made her a champion because of the Black 2 and White 2 games which isn't a good enough reason for her to be one in the anime since they were mostly leaning on her being a gym leader.
Journeys power scaling was just all kinds of messy. That’s why I said Dracovish’s battle was controversial.
I don’t mind Iris being champion, but the series woulda been better had ash lost to Iris here instead. Then they coulda had a rematch instead of having ash lose to other trainers only to get back into the great class OFF SCREEN.
@@ChampionBlaze Yeah but that's the problem. Like she loses to ash undeservingly, then out of nowhere she comes back to Masters 8 and is somehow higher than Ash only for her to get her butt kicked again. And it's just like why did they do this? I can agree she's had a growth in character but I feel like they didn't properly showcase her as a champion. Even Diantha despite getting crushed by Leon so easily got better rep as a champion than Iris.
@cometcartoons8528 i agree. And it’s all because of the shitty writing staff they had for Journeys. They fumbled the whole series so bad it’s embarrassing snd laughable
