I would love to know if I wanted my W712 anniversary edition to handle more power what would it take to do so they are rated at 1000 rms but I want it to get up into the competition level ratings! Is that possible if I send it to you?
The w7 12” can fit a 4layer voice coil and a TI frame with a 10” spider it will handle more in every way and sound amazing.
I’ve seen a few shocker sig motors up here in Maine. 4-6 of them. Not sure which gap they were
They're originally more common in the northeast and Midwest as they originated in Ohio.
I posted an add on Facebook up here in Maine (mid coast) trying to buy some blown up performance subs (but if cheap enough even budget subs just to salvage the ferrite to combine the slugs to build some custom motors but have had zero results... Which surprises me yeah some people will repair blown subs but a lot are intimidated by re cones and here in Maine not a ton of options and will just toss it aside and buy new, you would think they would want to re coupe some of there original investment. But at least mid coast Maine is just so not a hot spot for car audio it seems damn near non existent, I never see bumping systems around even close to mine and it slaps pretty good but its not a crazy extream system, I've tried to find someone with an SPL meter up here to test my system now and after my upgrade but no luck with that either. Do you know of anyone here willing to Meter a system in Maine?
@@95Sn95 well I’m in central Maine. I have a termlab meter.
@@95Sn95 everyone I knew in Maine in audio either left Maine or left audio.
All '05 "small gap". Only 200 big gaps were made, the 3 I ever had I sold to Andre in The Bronx and he shipped a lot of those motors out to Eastern Europe. Big gap "'02 sig" has a much wider pole vent and the slugs stick out a little bit more from the top plate.
AFAIK there's 4 '05 motors up here. One in my F250 and 3 in my brother's Civic which lives in my driveway.
Not to be confused with the neo motors. 50 of those were made, I own 8 and Rooney has 1 that he got from John at T3.
4” coil?
3”.... Looks as though.. Shocker sig.
If your old enough to remember.. I certainly do. They were Good back in the day, but now. .. Not so much😬
Good work man.
The motor and the basket look rough, why not refinish them?
Wow, I'm a speaker guy myself, and you think you know a lot about speakers until you see a video like this! Damn, reconing a speaker driver is a LOT of painstaking work! (I figured it was, that's why I never bother doing it myself... but I've never "had" to either, so with an expensive competition sub like this one it might be worth trying.
Exactly what kind of glue are you using there? Where do you buy it and how much does it cost? Also, what is that stuff you are spraying on it immediately after applying it and where do you get that and how much does it cost?
The spray is the activator... Completes the drying time COMPLETELY in 30 sec. tops
@@smigletat9634 The most important questions I had about this stuff have never been answered by anyone, not even the original video poster. What is the (brand?) name(s) of this stuff, were do you get this kind of stuff, and how much does it all cost?!

Right off hand I couldn’t tell you but with that said.. I have 2 passions.. Car Audio & also Wood working!
I have used these products in both fields & work quite well. I am currently rebuilding 2- DC audio lvl6 m1-15’s I just ordered parts yesterday but still need to locate my gluing products or I could give you a better answer.. Sorry
I like the way he was revving his subwoofer 😅
Did you get 10k in 5 days?
Nope, it took almost exactly 7 days
Do you sell parts like motors too? I'm in search of a pair of sundown audio zv5 motors, and a sundown sa motor , and also a sundown x motor
Go on Facebook...find dave lieb and send him a message
We do not.
Hey I just had a quick question. Someone in my area is offering an old school orion hcca 12 for only 5 dollars. The catch is that it's blown, but I was wondering if it may be worth looking into?
I've done a video rebuilding one of those.
@@EMFAudio hello new to channel seen a speaker foam presentation from some yrs back want to ask a question
Thanks for posting this video 👍
Zv5 soft parts?
No, not even remotely close.
You Richard.... You purposely didn’t show us how you set the Cone lol I like this channel I don’t care what they say about you you’re right
So did it have 10k views in time? I'd really like to see some close up stuff!
It took 7 days, didn't quite make it.
Right will not always be negative when the subs in that position. On a jbl gti mkII those both left and right are positive with the sub in that position, and the two on the oposite side are both negative.😁😁😁
I wonder if that motor is bigger than my Resilient sounds team 15 but from the video it doesn't look bigger but videos or photos can't portray the actual size.
"Make it better." Love it. Kudus from Portugal.👍😎
Gunna save this bad boy to watch later with a cuppa 👍
Nice work no doubt. Evry time i get a notification from emf i say to my self hopefully hes going to mention the realist date or off the hammers v2s, how close is the date
In a time where nothing is on time, I won't give a time. If I put a date on it, the day after will be full of messages asking why it's not already installed in their car if it's not delivered by that date. On Lowballers I tried to put a date on them within 3 expected days of shipping them and it ended up being another 3 weeks.
WOW that's a lot of clamps.
Good work bro but make sure u blow out the coil b4 puttin on the dust cap
That's the wrong order of operations. At that point it's too late. You blow out the gap before the coil is even put in, which I did.
You probably know this but thought id pass it on anyway- I just found this Pierce Audio, and they are making sub parts in house USA. I remember you saying you lost your machinist for yolo parts, maybe these guys can help. They are making magnets in house, cones, spyders, etc.
I bet you'd be surprised to find out what they aren't making in house, and maybe even claiming to. Historically they have "made in USA" subs with motors that are off the shelf from China, along with every other part from China.
@@EMFAudio I dont know but on their website they say they left China and tooled up to make as much as possible in house. Including magnets, cones, spyders etc. I still like my China Lowballers! lol. Thanks for replying!

I loved watching this.
I wonder who reconed this sub lol 😂
I have two 18s like these that I bought blown, need your services!!!!
I think I'm hearing those 4 spiders giving resonance. Probably in addition to the glue inner one outer diameter little IPS of glue at tips of spider at random points
Where can I get a recone kit for a EMF Lowballer 15?
those bolts look stainless
Its not that mechanically loud i heard much louder subs its gooood😁
i dig the bob ross T
damn that motor is damn near a HoleeS motor...
R starters they are called “button heads” and the only application they should be used in is as a “trim” fastener only. There is a reason for that design and a reason why they should only be used to “button” up sheet metal trims. For one the wrench size is always one size smaller than a typical socket head which is what would be proper for that application. Being that the wrench size is one smaller and the walls much thinner you cannot torque those down tight at all or you will most definitely do with a button head screw. That is probably what happened there and so on maybe had to get drilled out. I see button heads used improperly all the time because either they are cheaper ? Or , it’s all that was available. But his forbid you have to be the guy that encounters one improperly torqued down and have to drill one out 😆👍✌️
great video ....
My OCD would not let me put that sub back together dirty. I would have to clean each part.
It’s funny that sub rebuild vids or not popular but demo vids are. I guess more people care about “show” not how stuff works and learning that is not about BRANDS.
You're right, some don't want to learn, they just want to see "flex" and be critical of what brands are shown doing what.
NICE!!!

Why didn't you tell everyone that it's a Sundown basket ?
You should've cleaned sanded off the top plate before you started to rebuild it ...
The top plate wasn't even painted at the mating surface, not that paint would change anything anyway.
