I smoked my SCAR Audio 12's DVC 2 Ohm. I got an oscilloscope and adjusted my gain correctly and turned off bass boost. Kind of a blessing as now I have my 2x 12" Sundown SDL DVC 4 Ohms running are there own 500w Alpine mono amp @ 2ohms per sub, These speakers sound better and hit so much harder. I wanted a smaller sealed box for my daily driver to get my trunk space back. I've learned a lot from your channel. Thanks.
How'd you blow yours? I've got two Skar 12's right now ready for an install. together they'll be 2,500RMS @ 1ohm off the Skar 2000.1 but i'm a bit skeptical, any advice on how not to blow mine up during their trial?
when you're storing speaker drivers cover them in cling film to keep the dust and debris out believe me it will save you a huge hassle and a headache down the road
What I found to be a good way of blocking up holes to prevent any deposits getting in them is disposable ear plugs (the memory foam type) as they can be squeeze into holes and then they expand to seal the hole.
man exo, i gotta say im super excited for this build... rebuilding those older subs was a genius idea... definitely show us the recone process... i have a gut feeling this system will be legendary lol... 🤷
EXO, you gotta tape 20x20 hvac air filters to the backs of those box fans. It wont catch everything but makes a hell of a difference. I've been spraying for 20 years trust me try it out. Just get a multi pack of the cheap blue fiberglass joints

Idk anything about having Crones but if you can eat peanut butter, it's a great way to put on weight. I just started lifting about 7 months ago and I'm about to finish my first bulk. Peanut butter has helped me put on about 12lbs in the last 2 months. Maybe worth a shot. Sub's are looking awesome!
Those speakers were put together with clear loctite from the factory. Blue loctite will melt at the temps you will push rendering it useless. The parts will jiggle but the bolts will be tight.

You should open up the flaps of the cardboard box, get a cheap HVAC Duct filter about the same size of the box opening to extract through. Have the box fan sitting behind that pulling air out of the box and through/into the filter. Without something for the overspray to really stick to it's just going to flow around your garage and land on anything else it can stick to.
