I love this movie to bits 😆Jim Carrey is so amazing and the scene where he's "roasting" everyone gets to me every time, esp when he sticks the toupee onto the wall and do the Indian whooping call 😆That's one of the best laughs BJ had! And Asia doing Jerry's claw was funny and cute as well lol! Btw, you two really need to see "Death to Smoochy" - it's a dark comedy with Danny Devito, Edward Norton and best of all, Robin Williams. It looks like it's free on UA-cam now too so enjoy - it's hilarious afffffff!
This movie is fantastic. It's got tons of material for kids and parents to enjoy. So many quotable moments, too! It was such a cornerstone movie of my childhood, and it still makes me crack up now, decades later.

Carey is a legend when it comes to physical comedy. I put him up there with Buster Keaton, John Belushi & Chris Farley. They all had their own ideosynchracies, but were very together in their overall type of humor. Keaton may never be matched since everything was close to 100% real. But Carrey, Belushi & Farley were all forever-remembered by those who've seen them perform their craft.
If you want Jim Carrey to blow you away check out The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and/or The Number 23. just a couple non comedic roles. He really is brilliant and versatile.
Another great movie with a character trying to control themselves is "All of Me" with Steve Martin and Lily Tomlinson. Steve Martin does such a great job of his body being possessed by another soul. Hilarious !!
That movie came out when i was a kid. And maaan it stuck with me, i have a dad but when i was a kid he drank alot and wasint really around like i wished he would have. And so later on i life when i was told that i was to be a dad, ive done all ever since to be the best dad possible for my kid, always be there and make sure he knows im right there always supporting him in all he does. Teaching him all my mistakes in life to make sure he has nothin but the best of futures to go into, and is soo well on his way now as a teen. I couldint be more proud then i am, cause he is literally like a walking Jesus among other kids. Super loved by all, and helps all around him with a big smile just about all that meets him in life leaves with a huge smile and everything, He is truly a gift from God to me. Im in no doubt about that at all, cause he is all i wished i could ever be with more to him then i could have dreamed off. For that i thank God all the time 😊🙏

Jim Carrey is such a funny guy, saw him recently in Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" episode. My favorite film of his is "The Majestic", which I think is his best performance.
the very sad part about the amazing Jim Carrey is that he eventually felt that "jim carrey" wasnt even him anymore, it was a persona that everyone expected based on his acting. he couldnt just be "a guy" anymore, he always had to be "jim carrey" and it tore him down. he went into a deep depression, and it took him a while to come out of his funk, to find himself deep inside the character that the world always looked to him to be, even when he wasn't on the screen. it drove him into retirement, because he was tired of being what we expect him to be instead of who he felt like he was. i feel for him, and im sad it came to that. he has so much talent, and i hate that his level of talent was actually his undoing. i wish him well for all the rest of his days, and i hope he continues to find peace in his new self.

the very sad part about the amazing Jim Carrey is that he eventually felt that "jim carrey" wasnt even him anymore, it was a persona that everyone expected based on his acting. he couldnt just be "a guy" anymore, he always had to be "jim carrey" and it tore him down. he went into a deep depression, and it took him a while to come out of his funk, to find himself deep inside the character that the world always looked to him to be, even when he wasn't on the screen. it drove him into retirement, because he was tired of being what we expect him to be instead of who he felt like he was. i feel for him, and im sad it came to that. he has so much talent, and i hate that his level of talent was actually his undoing. i wish him well for all the rest of his days, and i hope he continues to find peace in his new self.
I used to watch this movie literally all the time when I was like 7, 8, 9ish. Easily a top 3 favorite Jim carrey movie in my opinion.
