Re Truman looking at his wedding photos....
What he noticed was that Meryl had her fingers crossed. I don't know if kids still do it these days, but surreptitiously crossing your fingers (usually hiding them behind your back) while making a promise meant that you weren't *actually* making that promise. It was a "cheat code," as it were, for kids -- a way to later break the promise and technically not be lying (in kids' minds, at least). "But you promised!!"... "Yeah, but I had my fingers crossed, so it didn't count!" Kid logic.
So Meryl crossing her fingers in the wedding photo showed that she didn't mean her wedding vows to be real; it was just part of the role she'd been hired to play.

Also there was "Eggplant man". He chose to live alone and wasn't allowed to leave the room, and could only eat and wear the prizes he won throughout the year. It was both hilarious and sad. Since he was naked for at least a month, his privates were covered by an eggplant emoji, hence his name. In Japanese he was called "Nasubi man". He eventually won food, clothes and some crazy prizes and eventually accumulated enough prizes to leave.

At first, I couldn’t figure out how they could be so dense in not picking up on what the actual premise of the movie is, but the movie was spoiled for all that saw it back in the day by the trailers. I watched one on UA-cam and it even included the shot of the dome reveal, so as you say, it was super fun to actually watch them figure it out. This is the way it was meant to be seen. You should be confused!

Because I think that’s the point. We’ve watched his entire life on the show, so now we don’t get to see what happens in his private life. That’s not for us to know. We’re not looking in on him anymore seeing what he’s going to do. His future is now anonymous.

The movie was filmed in a REAL town, Seaside, FL, a planned community which was an attempt to do something completely different than the usual sprawling suburban development with all its cookie-cutter homes. Here everything is clustered so you don't normally need a car to get around. All the homes were specially designed to reflect historic American architecture and yet at the same time, make them all different.

They never really let Truman be himself or choose anything for himself, he's been controlled his whole life and never knew. And he is a prisoner. In that place.

I feel the same way. At least let us see what you're reacting to. I know it all boils down to copyright issues so that's why they only show 3 seconds at a time (which is so annoying) but other reaction channels show longer clips but they'll superimpose a watermark on screen (also annoying when they don't have it faded enough) and they don't seem to get shut down.
