  • This salad recipe cured my hidradenitis suppurativa condition that I had on my inner thighs for YEARS! Doctors told me to take antibiotics, but later I found out that the real issue! I'm so glad I "trusted my gut" and didn't take those antibiotics!
    Probiotic Ranch
    3/4 cup kefir
    1/4 cup sour cream
    1/4 cup avocado oil mayo
    dill
    parsley
    spring onion
    1-2 garlic clove minced
    1/2 tsp ranch seasoning (optional as the herbs will add the ranch flavor but I kinda like it in there)
    salt/ pepper to taste
    Note: I don't measure the amount of herbs. I probably use in total about 1/2 cup. This is more than most recipes as I REAL love the fresh taste and benefits of the herbs. However, you can use about 1/4 cup total of the herbs. Also, you can use up to 1/2 cup each of the sour cream and avocado oil mayo.

    Yeah a field trip!!!!!
    I love you showed us how to use kefir! We have talked about it but I didn’t know how to use it.
    You be on it girl ❤
    I so appreciate you talking about HS on your platform. It is something so many people deal with. I agree diet changes and lowering stress dramatically reduced my symptoms.
    Would you use kefir in place of buttermilk for other recipes?

    • @CamirrasKitchen
      @CamirrasKitchen  4 місяці тому +18

      I sub kefir for buttermilk only in non-cooked recipes for the most part. the probiotic benefits will die in the heat in something cooked. I typically use kefir to make dressing, a smoothie with fruit as a yogurt sub, drink it plain (I'm so used to the taste its easy for me to drink it straight), or with a touch of honey. but i take it in some form almost everyday for 1 1/2 yrs. i couldn't be happier with the benefits!!

    That Chosen Foods avocado mayo helped me break my Hellmann's addiction. It's the best tasting mayo, no sketchy ingredients, I keep it stocked, so good. I don't suffer with H.S. but I know the importance of a happy gut. Thank you for sharing, this looks yummy

    I also have this condition and I started to cut out food from the Nightshade family. That includes white potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, even some paprika as well. I don't know about anyone else, but I noticed that I would get a flare up around my menstrual cycle. So, this is definitely linked to your hormones. I definitely had to start adding in a probiotic as well as at times a prebiotic to make sure my gut biome was in harmony. I have also started implementing foods that are fermented like kimchi. Taking antibiotics can mess up what's already in the gut and make the situation worse.

    • @CamirrasKitchen
      @CamirrasKitchen  4 місяці тому +11

      yes I also have imbalanced hormones. i would flare up if i had too much sugar and starches. one day i ate chick fil a, then the next day like clock work i had a flare up. so i avoid fast food as much as possible and also try and keep carb on the lower side, unless its like a holiday or special occasion. I'm SO glad i DID NOT take the antibiotic! It would have made the situation WAY worse.

    For me I am trying to heal my daughters stomach. She has been having problems since birth. I took her to the doctor and they said she is fine nothing is wrong with her. She can’t use the bathroom like she should and she suffers with acid reflux. She runs a fever often even when she isn’t sick. She is always crying about her stomach hurting her. Anything is better than watching my baby suffer. I’m going to give this a try when I am able to.

      i hope this helps! probiotics/ prebiotics are super natural so i dont think there is any way it can hurt. Try kefir for like a week and see if it improves. your gut microbiome can shift pretty quickly. so I hope it helps.

    Thanks for taking us along to the store with you lol! I'm no stranger to HS I've been using Hibiclens soap and probiotics for years. But you're right about the cost of Keifer and veggies versus buying a probiotic every 30 days. I definitely will have to try this salad and add more probiotics and prebiotics to my diet. So happy you found something that works for you! Blessings. ❤

    Ive had to change my diet to incorporate more salads, low-sugar fruit, low carb, very little sugar, more water intake with alittle lemon,
    and exercise etc., in order to detox my liver!! This salad sounds perfect and looks delicious!! Hoping by the time I get bloodwork done again in follow-up I've lost weight and my numbers are lower!!❤

    My cousin sent this to me tonight, and I will definitely be buying these ingredients in my next grocery store trip. I have been in a state of almost constant flare (HS) in one part of my body or another for so long now.
    I have gone septic due to the abscesses, and have had surgery on a large cluster of them. There's an antibiotic Rx waiting for me at the pharmacy right now... 😑

    • @CamirrasKitchen
      @CamirrasKitchen  4 місяці тому +1

      oh my! i hope this helps!! if you are taking antibiotic, i think you need to wait 30 min after taking them to take something probiotic. so the antibiotic doesnt kill the probiotics. also, you may want to even drink a small glass (like 1/2 cup) of the kefir straight too. i do it almost everyday. i notice a BIG differnce since i do this for last 1 1/2 yrs

And once "tastes like ranch" was mentioned, that changed my mind about the dressing, but not about the probiotics +the other ingredients. Ranch is not to everyone's preference and that's ok. Long as those who have it enjoy it! Just say ""Keh-FEERH"!. In other words, reverse the order of the vowel sounds +shorten the first syllable +lengthen the second syllable, instead👍. Enjoy!

    I'm gonna try your dressing, sounds good! I make kefir from grains as well and made my dressing today. I use Kefir, add a clove of garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, feta cheese, and lemon pepper, sometimes some cayenne also. I had mine on a salad with grilled lemon chicken breasts 🤤🤤 Anyone with gut problems or anyone who doesn't want to get them should incorporate plain kefir into their diet. You can add frozen or fresh fruits or veggies and make smoothies. You can use it in place of milk for cereal ferment your oatmeal with it, or just drink a few ounces each day.

    I have HS and battled with it for years😢 my inner thighs and under one armpit. Drs only gave me antibiotics which cause a whole other host of ailments and said that surgery is my only option because guess what antibiotics do NOT work for HS. I was able to heal my own HS with a skin care regimen I follow everyday, probiotics 😁 avoiding foods that I know will be my trigger usually dairy and sugar and I fasted for 3 months 16:8 to reset my system. Hope this helps cause I know how devastating this skin condition is.

    Parsley is high in vitamins D which lack of vitamin d can cause a flare up. Is common with those with hidradenitis High levels of Testosterone can cause hidradenitis as well as can cause the extra hair abd the follicles to get blocked. It’s understandable between the thighs the thigh rubbing and the hair the increase of bacteria.

    I gotta make this recipe. Thank you Kitchen Queen you served up a delectable healthy meal.
    No more salty McDonald's
    No more cheesy Mexican food
    No more mayo sloppy Wendy's spicy chicken meal
    Eat out is not what it used to be. The prices increase, and the food taste nasty, over kill on the cheese, sauce, salt or a combination. Not healthy at all.

      I had to order them online from a small mom and pop company. They are living organisms so you have to be really careful who you get them from. But once you get them you always have them. Mine still alive after 1.5 yrs.
