Yeah, most cooking videos don't show you that kind of thing. Beginners try to make stuff without knowing all the other stuff involved in cooking. Then they get frustrated cause it's more work then they thought, or even worse end up cross contaminating other foods with the raw meat juice.

Great job on showing and explaining the process…… just a tip for coating the fish with the “fish-fry mix”: I use a large ziploc bag to put the fish-fry mix in and just add the fish to the bag with the mix and zip the bat closed (making sure there’s plenty air trapped in the bag) and tumble the fish in the fish-fry mix until fully coated ….. works just fine for me😊

FYI, I keep my oils in those squeezy bottles you find at the dollar store. I find them a lot easier to deal with and cleaner than the spray bottle. They also have silicone brushes, so you can get set up for this technique for a couple of dollars. You can outfit your whole kitchen at the D-Tree.

My mom raised us up on Miracle Whip instead of mayo. Then at 18 I moved out and started my own family. My husband only ate mayonnaise and hated miracle whip. I had to try it and have used mostly mayo since 1986. Great recipe, love the tub with the rack. I’d like one of those.

I love the breading container your mom got you - all my life I’ve been using zip lock bags for this purpose, your way is much more efficient and better for planet, thank you & your mom for that idea too 💕

I have always preferred to microwave in a steamer to keep the slight taste of fish intact. I was raised with crispy fish. Tempura coating is a variation of your recipe. Your personality presence on camera snd your chef skills cooking and explaining in detail your ingredients, process, and results are excellent. Your creation rivals tempura because you eliminate the frying with s heartier crust. Gold Star to you You're my go to now.

I’ve made fish like this and it’s fabulous. My mom showed me that trick when she was taking off weight she would spray the olive oil or canola oil whatever kind of oil you want to use for preferably olive oil in the mustard in the mayo, hot sauces, fabulous to each his own and definitely the cornstarch really helps that crispiness with the cornmeal and flour for. Thank you so much wonderful recipe.
