I'm fucking loving it. After so many stupid arguments with Admiral Fanboys downplaying the Yonko and hyping up the Admirals based entirely on Marineford Whitebeard. We actually get to see the real difference between an Admiral and a healthy Yonko, and it is glorious.

When we know for a fact that this was not the case. Even then we knew that Whitebeard didn't take his medicine, which mean that he couldn't use CoC. And while we didn't know exactly what that meant then we now know that not being able to use CoC is a huge handicap for a Yonko, given that it can be infused in attacks like CoA.
And beyond that, Whitebeard was also taking damage from everyone, clashing with multiple Admirals, and started the fight with a chest wound.
So with them ignoring or making excuses for all that combined with the fact that Akainu was the one to deal the most damage to Whitebeard, in their minds it set up Akainu, and Admirals in general, with being on par with the Yonko.

I mean, since i was 14 during marineford anime arc I realized that healthy Yonko > Admiral. But tbh, "Navy Admirals" since the introduction of this Military rank it has left a deep impression on me since I was a child, that is "hopelessness". It's like they always took away plot armor from the main crew for themselves, and it was shown damn well that Luffy will always Lose, and even right after the timeskip he wasn't a match for them yet. It stuck with me in my psyche always that Luffy will truly be top tier when he holds his ground alone against an Admiral.
Yonko > Admiral is real. But, i honestly believe that the OG Admirals Kizaru, Aokiji and Akainu are more frightening than the new ones (greenbull is a literal bitch, what a led down for a character) Also their DFs are more impressive arguably. Plus not even Yonko commanders could touch Akainu in the marineford, so there's also that.

Lot of People underestimate the emperors lately just because they got defeated by luffy, kidd and law. I know admirals is a monster and powerfull individual, of course. The reason people are afraid of emperors not because they have lot of army, it's because of their captain strength, the emperors is considered a different being from human.
There are level even in the same rank.
There are Yonko Commander who can hold his own againts Admiral, Marco for example i think can held his own againts Admiral even thought in the end he still lose. Every main member of Shank pirate i think also good figh for Admiral especially Ben Beckmen.
That being said, Admiral also have level. Akainu and Aokiji obviously above Kizaru, Aramaki and Fujitora.
Hell vice admiral also have level, Garp obviously way stronger than Smoker.

I feel that people be forgetting how strong some supporting characters are since main characters are on a different level. Momo for example, has a broken fruit with a copy of Kaido's, he's a freak like Oden, and has the voice of all things. Of course he can put up a fight against an admiral.

With All due respect, after the recent chapters, the debate of Admirals and Yonko leads to this conclusion:
Yonko>Admirals>Yonko commanders.
However Admirals can defeat yonko, but (but like KOL said in the stream) they need to team up like 2 Admirals vs Yonko (or 3 Admirals, depending of the Yonko)

What Made Greenbull interesting at the end of chapter 1053 is his willingness to confront Luffy and his allies knowing they defeated the World Stronggest Creature, Kaido, and his crew. It gave off the vibe that even at this point in the story, there are still worthy adversaries confident enough in their abilities to confront Luffy. However, Greenbull was a let down.
How? He clapped the scabbards he only left because Shanks was close. He didn’t want to have to fight the whole crew by himself. Jesus Christ my guy

You know, the ability to communicate through Haki might be an extraordinarily underrated ability. I'm imaginging End of Series final war...or at least the one that the narrator said the Grand Fleet would be pivotal in...Imagine Luffy being able to send out CoC Haki to all his followers to give them orders on what to do...
Actually that doesn't sound like something Luffy would do. But it could be someone else who uses that ability to same-frighteningly level. Zoro? Sanji? Maybe someone from the Marines like Akainu? In large scale clashes, this ability might be the key to one side's overwhelming advantage.

I could see Sanji potentially doing that because he's the only one that I can remember who gives orders mid battle in order to achieve some greater plan for example him and Usopp got on the arc maxim together and he told Usopp to find Nami while he wrecks stuff, he told Usopp in Enies lobby to save Robin and he told Chopper to pretend to be Mr. Prince in Alabasta to fool Croc.
So if Sanji has some classic Mr. Prince schemes like he used to, he'd probably be able to do it on a much larger scale with more people involved if he had this ability but the problem is that Sanji doesn't have conqueror's haki which seems to be the prerequisite to use this ability which is a shame. Zoro and Luffy do have some cool one liners but they mostly just give out some basic moral boosts but Sanji can construct plans and he delivers the trash talk better like that "shitty restaurant" bit he did with Croc.
Luffy already did that Haki communication in chapter 1015.
Momo in chapter 1013-1014 was being overwhelmed with Luffy's presence when he was doing this.

Theory: After opening wano's borders and releasing pluton and destroying the red line, all the fishmen that are on noah will need somewhere to live so possibly they will all move into Old Wano which is in perfect condition which they felt the need to specifically specify, so I believe their should be a future use for Old Wano maybe the fishmen new home?

To this day i want to see ship that absorbed Zoan DF and well it just might be Pluton.
We saw Zoans applied to weapons (small objects that you have some control over),so i asume ship with DF might have some special procedure.
We know Vegapunk came up with weapons eating DF so he was trying to recreate Pluton,what if SSG is another step in his pursuit of recreating,maybe even surpassing Pluton
(Marines are sure SSG is great replacement for Warlords,Pacifistas already immitate laser fire of Kizaru and next step would be "Pacifista" that have its own DF...army of DF users)
The blueprints Franky saw could be just describing how ship can absorb DF correctly (with all the cabins,cannons and stuff remaining for most part while ship is transformed)
How scary would that be?Well imagine ship arriving into port,transforming into,lets say,gigantic bear and just wrecking stuff on land.
(its safe to say Pluton is made from best material,that coupled with Zoan durability,regen etc....you have some scary stuff)
In chapter its said Pluton is asleep,so it could make sense its extremely sturdy battleship that absorbed DF correctly and its dormant,because its submerged in the water.

Combining other types of haki seems to be a natural development by now. If Shanks did Observation and Conquerers together, like we saw with Luffy using Conquerors and Armamment. Hence we should also see observation with armamment in the future as well. Perhaps giving an ally temporary armament? Even if they dont have haki

Giving haki seems really bad imo. If haki is your will power it would be weird to give someone your will power to use it just seems out of place.
Luffy already used Conquerors and Observation haki together to communicate in chapter 1015.
@@visionaryvjae5641 haki also needs to be individually trained though. Usopp doesnt have armament, but I wouldnt say he is weak willed. His abilities simply went the observation route. The Black Beard pirates are supposed to be vicious and ruthless, and the fight against them has been building up the whole series. Maybe Luffy could protect the weaker members of the crew by giving them armament against a fatal blow. But maybe there are other ways armament and observation can be mixed.
@@alizard1399 and this is a useless afirmation as nearly anything could be said to be useless as far as story is concerned when only talking about how it directly meshes with the story. One Piece has many moving pieces. It took a while for Ryou Haki to a have a "point" in the story. We learned that Roger had no fruit, maybe his clash with Rox was a pure Haki vs DF battle. If Roger knew how to combine all types of Haki, this would give weight to Kaido's words. And that would be just a small thing to develop amongst many others. Oda loves symmetry, so to me it doesnt make sense Conqierors and Armamment would be the only two he would combine.
Green bull was actually just attacking people that where still recovering. So he's not actually as strong as Oda made it seem.

I always just interpreted admirals vs yonko to be the 3 admiral’s vs 1 yonko. so if the navy ever had to fight a yonko level pirate the 3 admirals together are there to be a match for the yonko and the warlords/vice admirals would fight everybody else. But despite the specifics I think the story since marineford has clearly shown 1v1 yonko>admiral.

Big mom had to spam heals against Kid and Law. Akainu is 100% taking her out alone. The only reason she could use heals like she did was because of the countless pirates and fodder around them, so if she's alone in a 1v2 or 1v3, she's getting destroyed

After reading this chapter a thought entered my mind. Imagine if the admiral match ups for the final saga are matched against non monster trio straw hats. Example: Usopp vs Greenbull probably wont happen but it would be funny...

@@jamespatillo3742 honestly with all the hype about the world government with Imu set up to be the final antagonist of the final War arc Oda hinted at a while ago set to take place after Luffy becomes pirate king I can honestly see Luffy v Imu, maybe Zoro v. Akainu/kong, Sanji v Kizaru. That just leaves Fujitora and Greenbull. Hypothetically if Yamato joins her and jimbei may be enough to cover it assuming Fujitora is an antagonist and doesnt switch sides. If Yamato doesnt join we have one admiral open for a straw hat/straw hat ally match up.
Alternatively I can also see Akainu being a stepping stone for Luffy as Akainu being the one to destroy Fishman island to get Luffys attention and Luffy comes back to the island ablaze where he has to fight Akainu to save fishman island and possibly head up to Mari geois later.
There is a lot of ways the final war arc can go and honestly given how Oda has been hyping up the Yonko over the admirals and even given the admirals receiving an L versus the revolutionary army and on Wano versus Samurai (but really Shanks...) I can honestly see the final match ups going any way. I honestly think with the right power ups any strawhat can handle a admiral some have gotten some crazy powerups in wano already. We still have a ways to go until the final war arc the straw hats can still grow stronger. Dont count Usopp out of the fight against an admiral until you see his "last" powerup.

Shanks is top 1 right now and no one can tell me otherwise right know, I do believe in the latest op Kiado’s top 5 was shown from weakest to strongest, Oden, Wight-beard, Gol D. Roger, Rocks, Shanks. But that will be provided latter in the story and in Film RED! I’ve been a Shanks fan boy from day one of my One Piece journey and we chilling right now, because we have never seen better Haki and until we do, Shanks can sit comfortably now that the heathens know he is the true god king.

The only way I can see this being spun around for the admirals is if they either got ambushed by the revolutionary army captains and Sabo from behind and then they just grabbed Kuma and bounced which I highly doubt considering fujitora's haki. The other would be that all of the captains under Sabo are first and second division Yonko commander level in terms of strength but I doubt that as well. I think that the OG admirals are stronger than the newer 2 and the only admirals that can fight a Yonko one on one are Aokiji and Akainu and that's it I think Kizaru would be a tough fight but he isn't beating A Yonko, He made sure not to get up close with old man whitebeard in marineford. But yeah after these 2 chapters you cannot defend Ryokugyu or Fujitora for these slip ups and for the damage they received if it took Yamato stepping in that would have been better for them then getting hit by a boro breath from Momo and I'll go a step further I think Law and Kidd could beat Ryokugyu and Fujitora.

This chapter got a 10/10 from me because there were literally no flaws in it. Admiral stans might be like "why was Shanks even there?" Or "there was no reason for Green Bull to be here" and blah blah blah. Months ago when y'all had the top 30 strongest and Kaido had the most #1 placings I was already on board with Shanks being stronger. Matter of fact, ever since Marineford I've FIRMLY believed he's the strongest in the verse. Then when he popped up in Kaido's top 5, literally any sort of doubt that anybody at all had should have been gone. But NO, instead they tried to discredit it by saying "there are no marines in his top 5" and "Why is Oden in his top 5 if he already beat Oden?" and "his top 5 is based on people he admired and not about power" CUT THE CRAP. Oda been trying to let these clowns know for decades that Shanks is THAT DUDE. Come end of series Shanks may even still be in the overall top 5 in history.
Another thing is that, those of us with common sense, have known for years that it wouldn't make any sense at all for the navy to have FOUR yonko level fighters. So to believe the admirals = emperors was just plain silly. They would have already controlled the New World. For simplicity and sake of argument: Imagine if the Big Mom Pirates were fighting an army of marines lead by 4 Big Moms. ONE Big Mom could deal with all the commanders without much difficulty while the other 3 marine BMs would gang up against the Captain Big Mom and wipe the floor with her. Again without much difficulty. Then they'd move to Kaido, Shanks etc. So the whole admiral = emperor "debate" never once made any sense to me. Fleet Admiral, yes. Admiral, no.
I like the recognition from KOL that Doffy was such a well written character. I thought I was the only one that still believes he's the best written antagonist in the whole series. Doffy, Momo, Sanji, Usopp, Ace & of course Luffy are the top tiers in the series when it comes to character writing or development. We could probably add Vivi to that tier too because she's the best written female character we've gotten. Yamato's getting there eventually.

Also, on Momonosuke, if Odens essence is in his blade, does that mean 'Nosuke should be able to synergize with a portion of Odens spirit? Or that sword wielders could be able to be in spiritual contact with blades of previous owners who are attached? Almost, resembling the relationship between a Shinigami and Zanpakuto?
