I think George was the underrated Beatle. His songs that he wrote with the group are some of my favorites ("Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" & "Something"). He was a great songwriter & had many hits when he went solo. Also love when he was part of the supergroup "The Traveling Wilburys" with Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan & Tom Petty. Very talented man who left us too soon. At least we have the legacy of his music.
George was my favorite Beatle for sure,I was lucky to have met him when he was fighting cancer in Staten Island in 2000! He had a great career with the travelling Wilburys and solo career as well!

This was written for the people in Bangladesh - at the time a newly formed country in Africa. One of George's most noted live performances was the "Concert for Bangladesh". He was very concerned about the children and so many folks starving to death in Bangladesh. "...keep me free from life..." was his plea.

I think George's creativity was stifled while he was with the Beatles... It's hard to have that much talent in one group and not have someone left in the background...It's happened any many bands over the years...Most notably CCR had their run cut short over creativity ...Their are many others too...Liked this reaction a d I love you guys !!!

I first saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. I was a mere 4 years old, and even at that young age, I recognized that George was my favorite. Lots of people blame Yoko Ono for the breakup of the Beatles, but I don't think that's the case. Lennon & McCarthy wrote some fantastic songs, but when the Beatles finally parted, George had enough of his own songs to comprise a triple record with "All Things Must Pass." When he died, during a Wednesday night prayer meeting at church, a VERY old lady asked for prayers for his family and said, "I KNOW he found God, so he's all right."
This would be right at home in any sacred steel church, praising the lord and using that pedal steel to do his work. I’m about the music and not the religion, but that kind of devotion and understanding of the only two things we all need, that’s beautiful.

I was lucky enough to live in this era of the best music of the century if you notice music of that era was all about love peace harmony in the world and today's so called music is all about tearing it all down hate violence disrespect towards women police and the country we live in.
George is a sheer loving delight and utterly incapable of a musical misstep ---like he's Bob Marley's spirit cousin from Liverpool or something...I recommend absolutely all of it: the hits and the deep cuts, the stuff that he did with the Wilburys and of course with the Fabsters and as a solo act as well. Get it all!

this came out when I was 10 or 11 and I remember thinking back then that he sounds like he's pleading at times for these simple/hard things and it seemed sad and mad me sad as a kid and it still does in a different way possibly maybe more so since we understand more as adults orr at least we hope we do...
