Dhani Harrison has said when he was a young child he thought his dad was a gardener. I think that says volumes about the humble nature of George Harrison.
Dhani also said that his dad was always trying to talk him into skipping school. While most kids rebelled by not going, Dhani rebelled by going to school. 😂
I miss the 60’s this music and all the great music of that incredible time when Love connected us and peace was on the horizon And it’s happening now again with this amazing music 🎶♥️
Love George; the sensitive and spiritual Beatle. Can't listen to "All Things Must Pass" album without tearing up. Such a brilliant musician and person.
I’m 64 and as much as I miss the The Beatles, I miss George more. George was an artist in the truest sense. His lead riffs and additions to the Beatles music at such a young age still astounds musicians and writers all these years later. I’m a guitar player and I to this day am fascinated at his innovation. He was simply magnificent.
I am 68 and I agree. I think George was overshadowed in the Beatles. John had a tendency to dismiss George's talent. Maybe jealousy? or the fact that Paul brought George into HIS band. George was a beautiful soul and as witnessed by his solo career, a joy to the world.
This is a great song, and as you say, George Harrison's sound is so distinctive. So beautiful, so melodic, I love listening to this. So good as a solo artist but of course a member of the most iconic, influential band in the world - The Beatles who else!! Thanks so much, George, for all the music you gave us. My Sweet Lord is another one of my favourite songs. It's hard to believe that he died 20 years ago on 29 November 2001 at the age of 58, that is far too young - so sad. Thanks so much for your reaction, guys, really enjoyed it. Agree absolutely with everything you say. Cheers.
Some of us cry, today, listening to this, because we believed that we could bring peace to the world. We believed, because we had others who believed with us, and sang for us. But we are dying, and leaving a planet that isn't at peace, and will have struggles we never knew. Perhaps, "hope" is what we must have, and this song does give us that.
It makes me happy to have you guys reacting so positively to George Harrison. I loved your comment that his music is like a vaccine for negativity. So true. He was always my favorite of the Beatles so when All Things Pass came out I listened to it incessantly and I still listen to it to this day. There’s something about his style that makes me think more deeply about life. I think it says a lot about him that his friends loved him so deeply too. There are SO many of his songs that I enjoy but one I particularly like at the moment is Who Can See It from his Living in the Material World album. It’s really beautiful. Of course, he recorded a lot of more uptempo songs that I also listen to over and over and he did have a great sense of humor. His videos of This Song and Crackerbox Palace are really funny. Seems to have been a man who lived life to its fullest. As always, your reaction video is great. Content like this cheers me up on a dreary day like this.😎🙂🌝
George was always my favorite of all the Beatles. George's "Happy Just to Dance with You" was one of my favorite songs with the Beatles. His performance always stood out with me because he truly looked like he was having fun. I was devastated when he passed. RIP George and thanks for all the music 🎵🎶🎵
I love George Harrison so much, he was a much better guitarist than he got credit for, he kept learning all the time and improving his style, even learning to play the Sitar. Eric Clapton actually said he leant a lot about guitar playing from George and called him an innovator who took R&B mixed with Rock and Rockabilly to make something truly unique. He was also one heck of a good song writer, RIP George
George was in the Traveling Wilburys with Tom Petty, Roy Orbison….and more. Song to do first is “End of the line”. George was the most spiritual esp about what comes after this life so studied eastern religions and philosophies.
The Beatles were already a phenomenon when I was born, so my entire childhood was saturated with the Beatles' music and also with the music they created after they broke up. George was always my favorite Beatle and the music he created as a solo artist spoke to my soul. He was the best!
It was a chant that inspires and helps one to believe in God or higher consciousness. A blessing through George to us. Keep doing Harrison songs. There are many more special ones for you to discover!
Always love your effusive, appreciative reactions! Keep your intelligent, insightful, heart-felt acknowledgment of my generation's music coming. It's a delight to witness! Thank you!
Such a beautiful song by a beautiful man and artist🍂 Love George Harrison. It saddens me so much that he and John are no longer on this earth but thank goodness we have their music that will live on forever.🎶 Thank you so much guys for reacting to this and other tunes by this sweet, spiritual human being and legend ❤❤
You said it...George is 'A gift to Humanity'! Thanks guys for this beautiful reaction to a beautiful song that gives me strength when I'm feeling like this world is losing all sense of spirituality. Like you said, It's more important now than ever to listen to and respect songs like this! Love you guys!
This is a lovely song but I love just as much his equally brilliant 'Blowaway' - please react to itr sometime guys, its great guitar again as on this one and singalong.
It’s hard to pick a favorite. Depends on what mood I’m in…philosophical, nostalgic, light-hearted, sad, driving, dancing. George is under rated for sure and you’re absolutely right. Blow Away is a terrific song. You can’t help smiling when you listen to it. I also LOVE Cheer Down. His guitar work on that one is outstanding.
You both do such a great reaction video. With such insight and wisdom and smarts and respect. When he says, " keep me free from birth", says so much about his wisdom and his spirituality. There will never be another.... clearly. Since there never has
😁😁LOVED your reaction!!! Yes, George Harrison is amazing and I was really happy to see you doing another one of his songs! A suggestion for another great song of his "What is life?" It's one of my personal favorites. I repeat..."one of".....there are a lot! Always looking forward to your reactions!! Thank you! ps. MOODY BLUES...."QUESTION" You will love it!!!!! 😍😍

I love the thought of having a conversation with George. My imagination tells me he is deep and spiritual not because things were good. On the contrary, try to remember the time period he csme from. WW2 ended recently, Korea and then Veitnam happened. I am sure he did things as all of us did as young angry punks that we are not proud of today but we still laugh at and secretly still enjoy the memories of them. I imagine George becoming a deep and spiritual person because of the bad that he used to turn himself into good. If you think about it, do you know of anyone that had everything good in their life handed to them without ever having to struggle and they were wonderful loving and giving and spiritual and honest?
I'm sorry, but I'd like to add that this song, seems to me, like a prayer, asking the lord to give him the capacity to love by means of feeling the spiritual love from him, asking for peace on earth and to give him hope and help him to cope with his burdens in life, and with this he hopes to reach all who listens to the song with his heart and soul, it's his prayer, possibly for all of us.
You need to watch Get Back. There’s a conversation George had with John when paul went to lunch with his brother. Paul said if he knew about it at the time, it could have changed the course of the band and kept them together.
George Harrison, the quiet one of The Beatles, was as talented a performer as they come, he was actually held back while in the group, they didn't utilize his talent for song writing, maybe like they should have, but, I guess that's just the way goes when there's so much talent in one group, not everyone gets their equal share. There's a song called "Dark Horse" which is what they called him at one time. I think this song was based off of that. Anyway, it's a really good song.
Great reaction! Another one to check out is “What is Life”. Also check out the Traveling Wilbury’s . George, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison formed a super group together. They were incredible.
My favorite album from George. It's a shame that you're probably only going to hear one or two from these albums when they were meant for a whole meal.
You honestly need to listen to George’s album Cloud 9, it was the first album I ever brought, my brother told me George was the guitarist from the Beatles, at that point in my life I was only 13 and didn’t know anything about music… that album opened my eyes to music, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Ring all plays on that album which was produced by Jeff Linn, who also played on the album. I’m proud to say that that was my first ever album and I promise you guys you will love it! You also need to explore the Travelling Wilburys two albums… you have a lot of George Harrison music still to explore my friends! Please please please listen to it you will not be disappointed!
I've been trying to wrap my head around that 'coincidence' for 50 years. It's like saying Rembrandt, Da Vinci, and Michael Angelo all grow up in the same town, at the same time, meet, get along, and decide to paint together. My answer is that they are gift from God.
It's hard to believe that The Beatles would be actually better then they were if they had let George be a bigger part as a song writer. George said in an interview that the boys would let him have "one" song per album .....GEEEEEEEZ........ To quote John ..."Imagine " :)
I highly recommend you check out Alvin Lees "The Bluest Blues" on which George plays imo his best and most beautiful solo ever. Alvin Lee ain't half bad either.

Yes. That is an amazing song by both George and Alvin Lee.
