George, one of my favorite people-artists. I saw George in concert in the mid 70s it was an amazing concert. He had a big rock band plus a raised U-shaped stage full of Indian musicians. I almost always made it to the front of the stage at concerts, I could have grabbed Billy Preston's ankle as his keyboard was on the front of the stage. On one song the whole crowed was bouncing in double time, but me being me I was bouncing in half time, George looked right at me, shot me a smile and started bouncing in half time also, very cool moment for me!
@@thomastimlin1724 Thanks for the comment... I make a lot of replies without many comments back. Think that may be partially due to UA-cam, I have gotten a few warnings and think some of my comments may be being hidden. The only bad thing about seeing all the great bands I have in concert is that to have seen them you gotta be getting old.
I Went On A Day Trip To Liverpool, And This Is Gospel! For REAL! I Actually Played Football Outside George Harrison’s House! It’s True! I Was On The Magical Mystery Tour Around Liverpool, Maggie, If Ever You Come To England, Go On The Magical Mystery Tour, And Visit The Beatles Museum! The Museum Blew Me Away! Absolutely Unbelievable!
They all were from Liverpool ,Lancashire England so that made them very similar in mannerism and the way they pronounced words .. Check out the original 1973 studio version ,,,,
This went to #1 in summer 1973. I love this song and often sing it with guitar...the Beatles all came from Liverpool so similarities are abound between them and they grew musically together, they didn't just say adios after school was done. They were like brother because of all they went through to become the world's most famous band. This is NOT the original slide guitar part in parts of the solo. The 2nd half is what was the original solo. Very perceptive of you mentioning how lyrics have changed from peace and love to the world is burning down, what are gonna do. Better get a large fire extinguisher I guess.
Compared To All Of The Illegal Song Sampling Going On Today, And For The Past 20 Years, George Harrison's Mega-Hit My Sweet Lord, Was Just An Accidental Similarity Mistake By George Harrison, To The Chiffons His Song, . . . He's So Fine, Wherein He $ettled Out Of Court Back In The Mid-1970's, Without Admitting To Any Wrong Doing, Because The Song Company, Which $ued Him, Wanted As Much $$$ From Him, As They Could $queeze Out Of Him, Because He Was An Ex-Beatle, Which Unfortunately Fueled Their Evil Greed . . . ;-(

for me this was just another lily white love song. Well written but lyrically and instrumentally but still "just another love song coming down in 1/3 harmony" I way tired of love songs Try doing something that means something
I feel like it should said that this was George after the Beatles. No other Beatles participated in the original recording or this presentation.

Hello my beautiful Maggie Renee. This is your new subscriber wintersun Alex ❄️🫶❤️🌹
"Taxman" is a fabulous song. George hated taxes.
This is NOT a Beatles song it’s from George Harrison’s 2nd solo record release in 1973.

Almost like a steel guitar
George was sued for plagiarism by The Chiffons for his song My Sweet Lord in 1970,as it was similar to He's So Fine.
