I just wanna thank you for getting right into the video without a dramatic 2 minute overly produced intro. Great info! I don't have a jump box so I'll have to try to release them from the cars dashboard somehow.

If you are not comfortable with the wires etc, I just put the car in neutral (while running) on the jackstands and unplugged the motor. Then put it back in Park.

U can remove the acuator and turn the caliper from the bolt that gets exposed in the rear of caliper and compress with it

Didn't remove the connector before removing the calibre and pads which then the EPB self activated and pushed out the piston fully ! Doh !
Managed to get the piston engage and pushed back just enough to get new pads back and brakes seem to working properly but a warning notification keeps coming up "Park Brake Requires Calibration Apply Foot and Park Brake" any recommendation on how to fix ?

No need for the (risky/dodgy) 12 volt bare wires on to the parking brake motor! Start the engine release the parking brake and then undo the parking brake wiring clip down at the caliper motor, then turn off the engine. Wind back the caliper with the standard brake caliper tool using a right handed thread.

When I took mine apart and saw that it was designed for a caliper tool to wind it back, my first thought was whether or not winding it back would damage the servo motor. I assume it winds the servo motor back as well? On a side note, USE lubrication or something to get the electrical connector back on. I thought the connectors were on but they were on just enough to engage the servo motor but created an error message on the instrument cluster.

Well it works professional was to hook up my $8,000 scan tool and put it in to service mode but the professional scan tool wasn’t comparable so I put my mind to it and every one can do it professionally

I have different method and still works without using Ellen key to take off
    1. Key On Engine Off
    2. Press Gas by right feet and press down EPB button then turn key ON OFF ON in 5 seconds. the Odomedor will show " EPB in maintain mode"==> so you can press straight in like regular ;)
release do the same but Press Up EPB
I'm working at Ford dealer and I'm using this method alot to do EPB rear brake job reallt fast without using Scan Tool or Using Aleen vs Tort to take off at the back. ;)
