THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!!!!
Thank you for your videos and sharing your knowledge. Congrats on your engagement too
I keep a cheap black light flashlight in my truck. Thanks for making awesome videos👍🏼
Good stuff great tips......
What's the name of the app you use for comps?
@@lmendoza5773 i use the ebay app on my phone. :)
Thanks so much for watching!
Wanted to pass on a great tip....use the cardboard from the center of paper towels to keep the blade safer to ship. Just flatten the roll and secure it around the blade.
Great tip! I will actually do that
thanks so much for watching!
Awesome advice.
TY! Have to have mine sharpened and have to ship off
Thank you! I would not have thought of that!
Haha, I KNEW those were CUTCO knives as soon as I saw the thumbnail for this video.
If y'all are wondering how good CUTCO is, my parents bought the entire CUTCO set when they got married in 1952 and after 7 kids and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, that set is still going strong. The hostess set, the box of steak knives, all the ladels and knives including the wall mount holders for them. What cost them around $100 nearly seventy years ago, sells for over $2,000 today. They are an investment that will literally last you a life time. ❤️
I agree 100%!! they really are amazing! $2000!!! youre right though last knife set youll ever buy
thanks so much for watching!
I agree, my best go to knives
And they are guaranteed forever and you can hand them down and still guaranteed
When I was young I had a cutco license to sell those knives. I only sold a few of them so I ended up getting discouraged and I gave up. But there was something really cool about the cutco scissors. You could open them up about 90° and they would slip apart for easy cleaning. Plus the demonstration I was shown is to take a penny and you so scissors to cut it in half. I wasn't a muscular kid but even I could do that. It's amazing that those kitchen shears could cut pennies in half and they didn't dull.
But They Don't have the Lifetime Guarantee to Replace Them Anymore, if anything Chipped or Broken, Like they used Too.
Those employees needs a raise! Ive never seen a thrift store so organized!
I agree! They do a wonderful job
thanks so much for watching!
Thinking the same
Ours is in Tennessee
Right!
I have been in few as nice
Just ran into you and your wife at the Goodwill wow you two are so nice and friendly I hope I didn't embarrassing you by shouting out hey I see you on UA-cam I was just excited to see that you really are out there but now I know why I can never find the good deals because you two are there before me but that's great you're gracious enough to show me what you found that day best of luck good reselling and I could tell you're generally nice people that's wonderful
HEY!!! It was so nice meeting you!!! Anytime you see us def say Hi if you want to =) We are always out and will def run into you again Happy Picking =)
Thanks so much for watching and for saying Hi =)
I like that you comp and tell us what you made. Much more interesting then watching someone pick up random items and leave the store without knowing how much they made. Thanks for your informative video.
Thank you! and thanks so much for watching!
One of the reasons Cutco knives sale so well in the used market is they have a lifetime replacement with the company so if you can find them cheaper than new ones you can trade them in for the better model if yours are no longer produced. Just an FYI
Very true =) They are great knives Last literally a life time ! =)
What a great idea
I have a complete set of Cutco including the steak knives but have found a couple of knives and 2 forks in thrift stores. 👏👏👏 I told my daughter how much they are worth and make sure she keeps them when I pass.🥴
@@joycejohnson7640
Do you really think you kids will do what you tell them when you are gone?
Coolers very versatile. I have potting soil in one, ice melt in one and pine pellets for my cats litter box etc. all picked up at yard sales for $5 or less. Easier to move and much cheaper then a wheelbarrow for me. I’m a 78 year old woman.
That is a great idea!!
At a Thrift Store I always look for Art Glass from West Virgina. Needs to have the company sticker on it. Names to look for are:
Pilgrim Glass, Blenko Glass, Rainbow Glass, Kemple Glass, Fenton Glass, Gentile Glass, Kanawha Glass,
There is a large collector interest in this stuff and it sells quickly.
I'm always on the hunt for anything unusual. I did find an aluminum Christmas tree for $4 at a garage sale. Sold for $350. I was SUPER excited to find that.
That is awesome! That is one amazing flip!!!!
thank so much for watching!!!
That's great! I hope you continue to find items to resell also.
WOW!
He passed at Blenko orange piece when he found the Griswold pan! I was screaming at the video! 😂
My father sold Cutco knives for a while and my brother has his salesman's sample set. Still going string after over 50 years.
that is awesome! I know why people will spend good money on them for sure
thanks so much for watching!
Cutco knives are the best! My parents got them for a wedding gift in 1969 and they are still used daily. My mom purchased a set for me at an estate sale, and I also love them! If you don’t have them, keep them!
They really are amazing! One day Id like get a whole set would be nice
thanks so much for watching!
I got the whole set in 1969 as well still have them, they are the best.
Back in 1965, a girl I worked with sold them. It was a MLM
Love how you do this Chanel,no messing around right to the point
Thank you!! Thats what I try to do - right to thrifting and stuff =)
thanks so much for watching!
The red thing looks like one part of a two part ice shaver for making Shaved ice! It usually goes on top of a stand where you push down the ice into a blade while the part you held rotates it to shave against the blade.
i think youre right =)
thanks so much for watching!
Have a blessed week man of God
Thanks so much for watching!
Picked up honeywell programmable thermostat at goodwill 2 weeks or so ago paid 7.99 and sold in days for 89.98 can check the comps. Was great flip mine was sealed and new but always a good pick up.. even out of package I think worth the shot..great bolo on cutco
Very nice! some are worth a ton of money - some not so much. the programmable ones are i think one of the better ones.
I comped that one and some are worth only $10
thanks so much for watching!
I've never seen such a huge thrift store. It's in such an organized store. Impressive.
I agree - we have some great store for sure
thanks so much for watching!
@@beardedthriftmachine ...what city and state is it in? I, too, have never seen a well stocked, neat, well-organized thrift store.
Nice find on the Cutcos. I’ve never found them at thrifts
either. But did find one last year just around my corner for $2. Still has the cardboard sleeve.
Def the best knives ever.
Oh wow! I agree great knives!! excellent find!
thanks so much for watching!
I found a Cutco bar set at thrift store $5
Julian cutco is amazing, my daughter sold them when she graduated and we purchased the block with the kitchen scissors and 10 steak knives with 8 knifes. It was a great investment and we have had them for over 20 years! Great score!!!
That is awesome! They really are! =) set will last forever =)
thanks so much for watching!
In my teen years I sold cutco knives door to door. Cutco knives have a lifetime guarantee against sharpness and breakage. If they break or bend you can get them swapped out for free. So, I hope you know about this lifetime warranty because you can definitely get them swapped out for free and maximize your money. Good job on your finds.
That is excellent info! That is cool too you use to sell them - such great knives!
thanks so much for watching!
My son sold Cutco knives as well. That was probably in 2010 or 2011.
But does the warranty still apply if you don't have the receipt for it? Or the original paperwork? That's all I want to know haha my fiance and I just moved into a new house back in July and I think I have a few of those
@@jessicagoodrich5248 You don't need a receipt. Possession is proof.
Hey. Thanks for all the valuable content. I sold my first hat this week. A vintage Houston Astros hat I picked up for $2 and sold for $50. You're one of the UA-camrs who have motivated me to check out hats. THANKS!
Good stuff! That is amazing flip on a hat!! I love it! =) you cant beat 2 into 50!
thanks so much for watching!
I will be whispering cutco cutco when I walk into Goodwill! Thanks!
LOL I hope you find a ton! They sell very fast =)
thanks so much for watching!
Nice finds - especially the cutco! There are newer ones that have a white pearlized handle - same classic shape though.
Did you know that you can send in knives to cutco and they will repair/sharpen/refurbish them? Blades & handles. No cost other than shipping & handling. My mom even had one they replaced because somehow a huge chunk in the middle of the blade broke off. (That was about 25 years ago).
That is amazing warranty on those for sure. That is awesome on the info on the white handle I would have passed them because I only looked for the brown ones. thank you =)
thanks so much for watching!
I found some cutco in a kitchen lot I bought and I sent them to sharpen and when I got them back they replaced them with brand new knives. I kept them because they are great knives.
I love your videos despite not being a thrifter, or a reseller. My new guilty pleasure!
Thank you! =)
thanks so much for watching!
Yes, congrats! Cutco is my white whale. I am always looking for them but have never found them. Hope I get lucky enough to find multiples when I do run across them like you did. Good job!
Good luck!! youre right they are so hard to find I hope you find a ton for them!
thanks so much for watching!
Julian that mixer was a great pick up. I didnt know that it was worth more parting it out. Happy that you found the Cutco knives. I like to hunt for vintage items.
Thank you!! Yea that mix was awesome - at the base on on further inspect the timer and knob was broken =( I agree I like to find vintage cookware and kitchen app - i really like old toaster
thanks so much for watching!
These thrift stores look better lighted, bigger and cleaner than the ones near me. But this is a lot of good information to be aware of!
Yea we definitely have some nice thrifts in our area
This store reminded me of those I went to when I was visiting New Zealand, beautifully clean and so well organised .... nothing cost more than 99 cents and the staff were super helpful. Just wish those in the UK were as good. Very interesting item.
that is awesome! yes the stores around here and very nice and clean =) and they keep them well stocked
thank you so much for watching!
Congratulations on the Cutco ! I live about 1.5 hours from the Cutco factory. I've found them 3 times in many years of looking.
I know they are super hard to come across! =)
thanks so much for watching!
I'm always searching for the Russian nesting dolls between shops and garage sales. Done really well on a couple already.
Hi Julian. I've been enjoying your videos. Did you know that even if you find a Cutco knife in poor condition you can send it back to the company and if they can't repair it, they will send you a new knife. Life time warranty, no questions asked.
Yea isnt that awesome! you know its a great product with a lifetime warranty =)
@@beardedthriftmachine Exactly.
I sold Cutco 40 years ago. I still have all the knives. I use a steak knife as my goto every day. Still cuts tomatoes thin, and they have a lifetime warranty. The tang is broken, I could get a new one, but I would miss it in transit.
I remember mom having a cut costs knife set , when I was much younger . I'm sure my sister has them after loosing mom ... her set was about 10 or more pieces , with the butcher block counter top holder too ...
they are very nice knives for sure
The red thing with the cord looks to be the top of a Hawaiian ice shaver or a snow cone maker- they are usually accompanied by bowls that sit Securely under the shaver and doubles as serving bowls
i think you are right
Love finding stuff out of season. I picked up an open box waffle ice cream cone maker the other day for $5. New ones are selling for like $150 and open box for like $100+ ship. Cant wait till summer actually rolls around!
That is awesome!!! Yea I agree I will list stuff out of season but most times it sells when the season comes around. That is an awesome flip on the ice cream cone maker!
thanks so much for watching!
Right,, it''s Guaranteed Summer& winter will always roll back around..
My best thrift store finds were a pair of Disston hand saws that comped $30 each for $3 each, and an antique 12 inch butcher knife that was mixed in a 3 for a dollar box of assorted junk knives.
Nice! 10x money is great!
thanks so much for watching!
I found a Shaper Image room ionizer once for $5! They didn't know what is was. I knew it was worth $175, because I had the larger one I bought at the SI store for a LOT more than that. That was a good day...
what an excellent find!!!!!
Hey, Julian, that RED MOTOR top
Is a shaved ice topper. I'm pretty sure. I have one in blue and I'm pretty sure that is what it is. There is a bottom part that has a blade (like a pencil sharpener) in a cup and that is where you put your Ice and you put the red motor top on top of the Ice cup with blade and when you push down on the red motor top the "pick teeth" dig into Ice and it turns and shaves the Ice to make SNOW CONES. That is how mine works anyways🤗🤣
Thank you sooo much for that info! I have the smartest viewers! =) I literally would have never guessed that =)
thanks so much for that info and thats so much for watching!
Wow! I didn't kno u could buy an ice shaver! I love eating shaved ice but it's only "in season' in the summer here!
Great to know about those knives because that’s the set we had growing up and it actually comes with a knife holder that fits on the wall. Not a block. The funniest is that one that looks the scariest, the pirate looking one is the one me and my brother used to pull out on each other when we were fighting. I’ll get the butcher knife!!! lol
butcher knife always a good choice - lol =)
thanks so much for watching!
I was always on the lookout for a MCM lamp .... finally scored myself one at goodwill a few weeks ago. Even picked up the matching table to go with it because I didn't want to break up the set. The lamp was a beast that took up the whole back seat of my work car ! 24.99 ! What a steal !! And the table was round with different layers for 19.99. The lamp could easily sell for 200 and the table for 100 + if you were selling to the hipster crowd. But im keeping. 🤣
That is awesome!!! Ill have to look that up =) thanks for that bolo and im happy you found one!
thanks so much for watching!
I love when they stamp "Premium Cookware" on the pans, so you know its not a premium. :P
True that 😀
Haha my husband has a bunch of Cutco knives. Last year when I started reselling a bit and learned about them, I was like, “Babe, why do you have hundreds of dollars worth of Cutco and can I sell them???” He said absolutely not 😂 Come to find out, in college he was a door to door salesman for Cutco! Oh, and the BAB My Little Pony you got is Princess Celestia. My 5yo is a hardcore fan.
Nice!!!! That is awesome about him being a salesman for them! Thank you for the info on Celestia! =) Ill tell ya if I have a whole set I wouldnt sell them either LOL (well maybe ) lol
Thank you and thanks so much for watching!
Awesome score on the Cutco knives Julian! When I hit thrift stores, I look for sealed dvds, sealed vhs, sealed music CDs, toys, Sportscards & comics. I’m not always successful in finding those at Goodwill, but I tend to find them @ estate/garage sales 🤘😉
That's awesome!! I have been looking at the VHS section everytime and so far ive had no luck in finding any good one
thanks so much for watching!
you can use a steamer and a fine toothed comb for the hair on the pony. Synthetic wig videos tell you how to steam and curl plastic hair.
Thank you so much for that info! Ill give it a try
thanks you so much for watching!
Great tip!
The same for me just 2 weeks ago I found 4 Cutco knives in their plastic knife holder. I believe one or 2 were missing from the set but I was overjoyed to find any Cutco knife in the wild. Found at a Goodwill.
What I used to do (back in the day) when I needed some cash I'd hit up the goodwill and go straight to the knifes. I could usually find 3 high end kitchen knives... And if I could find a ceramic one I was really in the money. (Back in the day when ceramic knives were outrageously expensive) I'd spend under seven bucks then walk four blocks down the road to the pawn shop and make it easy $60-$100. Then the goodwill had to screw that up.
That is some awesome returns! that is awesome! Goodwill to the pawn shop is a good idea for sure
thanks so much for watching!
I used to sell cutco's knifes when my son was born 20 years ago and took class in Modesto California on tricks on how to sell them. Scissors cut a penny in half easy. You ask someone to get out there favorite knife and cut rope and then use cutco knife always cuts better. I still have most of my set I bought to sell them. My scissors have been missing for two years and im hoping they would turn up one day. My favorite bread knife and sandwich spreader knife. I always looked for them at thrift stores to never found one. And don't hear of people selling them except for one person like 10 years ago. Good find for you 😍
That is awesome!!! they really are amazing knives to be honest i use Wal mart knives and should have kept these for myself LOL
I found a 3 piece Cutco carving set in the holder at a yard sale once. Paid $1 for it 😊. I own a set so I knew it’s worth. Things are amazing and have a forever guarantee on them. All you have to do is mail them back to get sharpened. If they can’t be sharpened, they will replace them.
That is awesome! they really are great knives - instead of selling them i should have started a set for myseld - would have been the last knives i needed
And they are made in New York By hand!
Why would anyone give away Cutco knives? I've had my set 10 years and they have not needed sharpening!
@@hyacinth4368 They didn't know what they had I believe it was someone's family doing an estate sale
I just found 4 cutco knives at my goodwill, small knives 4-$2, already sold for $130.. ..great find
That is an amazing find and flip!!!! =)

JULIAN! I've been binge-watching your videos and am so happy to learn your actual name! You are fabulous, my friend, and I also have "saved" your store on Ebay! Keep up the great work ~ Amy 😍
Thank you so much Amy!!! and youre right i dont think i say my name alot LOL

Rhonda, I used to sell Cutco knives, they are very expensive, but worth the price, 2 stake knives, I cutting knive 1 bread knives, $240.00. I am very pleased with it . Blessings
Whoa!! Cutco knives are amazing! Great find! My parents have a whole set. They send them back to the company every couple years to be sharpened for free. I believe they have a life time warranty and not just for the original owner. Careful!! They are sharp!!
Very cool! That is true about the warranty, and you are right these held an edge because they were still SUPER sharp! LOL I have packed 2 and was very careful
thanks so much for watching!
Awesome finds! I grabbed that NC Tarheels hat in your video for personal use and it looks terrible on me. 🤦♀️ I always get a good laugh when I watch your videos and see things you left behind and I grabbed. Thanks for all of this knowledge. I knew Cutco was expensive but never look through the knives.
That is awesome! Ill tell you these videos when I (and you) watch them I see a ton of stuff in editing that i should have picked up but walked right by LOL - yea the Salvation Army in Surfside keeps the knives out so you dont have to ask for a case to be unlocked

I found a 12 pc set of Cutco steak knives....vintage in the wood case felt lined at my thrift store. I paid 7.25 for them and sold them for 350.00. I wasn't looking for them. It was late and the store was closing soon. lol I knew I hit pay dirt. They were behind the cashier counter and I asked to see them and the cashier was trying to talk me into buying them. LOL!

Just a BOLO they had car floor mats there. If they are OEM and you get for $3 or less, they always sell for good money. I once found a single BMW mat for $1 in Goodwill and sold it for $45. Everyone always looking for older original mats too. I just roll them up and ship in large poly bag!

Good job on picking up Cutco! I love mine. I bought several at retail in 2002. I have found 2 or 3 at GW before and I get so excited! My favorite knife is the cheese knife. But I love them all. I use them everyday still.
My mom has the cheese knive too! loves it!

I used my first tax return to buy a set of Cutco Cutlery in 1971. I hid it, embarrassed when my brothers girlfriend spoke of the salesman trying to talk her into them. I did resent the salesman's tactics but have never regretted buying them. My matching serving pieces, free with purchase, look great on the display rack above my stove today. I use items of the set every single day and they look great. I shattered the cutlery storage case but did find the matching steak knives.
Agree. The cheese knife is my go to
Uranium glass! I look everywhere I go. I’ve found some at auctions and yard sales. I even found a small piece in a box lot, but never at a thrift. It’s also the only thing I look for that is for my personal collection.

Sent in to Cutco and they polished, sharpened and replaced too broken blade. Cutco has a lifetime repair and sharpen policy.
Someday will find a full set, that's the dream.
that is def the dream!! that would be amazing to find full set! =)

i know right! couldnt believe it !
Yassss Cutco!! I have only found them individually!

Someone may have already said this, I didn’t read all the comments. But! Cutco is a lifetime investment and well worth the money. They will sharpen them for free for life for a nominal fee. The hard part is remembering you just had them sharpened and not cut your finger off. (Speaking from experience!). Great find on those. I’m going to look for them from now on to add to my collection.
That is excellent info! they really are an investment - lasts forever (hope the finger is ok )
thanks so much for watching!
I sharpen my own knives and have always and all my knives are razor sharp and they never get the chance to get dull. A dull knife will hurt you if you get cut because they are dull. It's better to get cut by a sharp knife because they cut an even slice.
OH MY GOSH! You found Cutco? Lucky
It was def a good day =)

My cousin just retired from an administrative position at CUTCO where she started from the bottom up over the years. She and two other cousins also worked there. They are located in Olean NY. I received a full set in a wall hanging case as a wedding present 36 years ago and they have been the best knives I’ve ever had in my life! They are still as sharp as they ever were and sharp is exactly what they are. But…if they would ever dull or break, they have a forever guarantee. Just send the knife to them and they will replace it. Good selling point, right!?!
They are such great knives for sure :)
Great finds! I Thought the life jacket would comp for more? Thanks for sharing, and I'll be on the look out for those knives!!

You can also send those Cutco knives in to Cutco and they will resharpen them for you. If they are not able to be sharpened, they will replace the knife. So even broken knives are worth picking up. It is only a few bucks to get the knives sharpened! I used to sell Cutco and I still have my set that I use daily.
very true - such great knives
I like watching these videos that's why I all the time keep my eyes out on things. Cause I work for salvation army in Conway but our 4 stores are surfside, over by the old time pottery and nmb and Loirs andConway.
That is awesome!!! I usually stay in Surfside - been to the Conway one only once since it moved
