Karen, I just enjoy the way you make me feel like I am actually with you on a thrifting trip. Yo you ask us what we think, see, and know. I feel so involved with you. And you share your knowledge and experience, I’ve learned so much from you and have become a more discretionary shopper.
You fiancé and you are the classiest most handsome intelligent organized thrifters ever. Love your videos the most. Messy disorganization drives me insane. Kudos to you two
Don’t overlook those embroidery kits, that were in the bin on the lower level. Dimensions and Bacilla NIP kits can bring big money! I’ve paid .99 and sold for $45 plus shipping.
I really enjoy your videos. Every aspect is pleasant. Your voice, manner, your thrifting, variety of thrifting & info. Just starting my resale business. I like your business model. Your sense of humor is great. Marshmello eating Zebra. LOL
I want to thank you. I was thrifting on Friday and picked up 2 little pottery birds and it turns out they are from an Iceland artist in 1939 and I can't find another but a polar bear by the same artist is for sale for $650. I'm starting an auction tonight. I like pottery and sculpture but I probably picked up the birds because you pick up birds. Thank you!
I used to sell on eBay back in the early 2000’s & shipping big things weren’t a problem, but I’ve recently started reselling again, & the shipping prices are ridiculous!!! Makes it hard on the resellers! ☹️
Thank you Karen for this fun shopping trip💐 I love your humor and the calm that you bring to all of your videos.👍 Like walking around with a friend. So kind of you. 👏❣
I was checking out your store yesterday and saw how much you had listed recently! Amazing job! Also… I live about an hour and 1/2 north of you in Central Pa and the thrifting here is AMAZING! Went to a new thrift store abt 40 mins away yesterday and didn’t realize it but they put everything single thing on 50% off the last Sat of the month and I had just happened to stumble in on that day! I got some amazing scores! I couldn’t help but think how much fun it would be to go thrifting with you! If you and Roger are ever up for a road trip, please let me know! I would be happy to show you around these parts and take you to some of the best thrift stores in the area.
Wow, Pennsylvania residents are blessed to have good merchandise in thrift stores. I envy you guys because one can easily make full time income, if s/he put forth the effort.
WOW I have never seen any of my stores this stocked. It was like someone cleaned out several estates to G Will. I do think that the pricing is getting ridiculous and they are listing items way too high and then have to dump it when it doesn't sell. Shame on them. Love you and your content, thanks
Duvet is the comforter or soft quilt filled with down, feathers, or a synthetic fiber, used instead of an upper sheet and blankets. What you found in this thrifting video is the duvet COVER. Love your videos!
On the bottom shelf where you found the large luminaries, there was a blue tub filled with needlecraft kits. Some of the vintage sealed ones can sell for amazingly money. I do well with them. Have even sold a few for over $100.00.
Karen, I think the belts are made of African Cowrie/Crowry Shells. Great video. Once again, the inventory in PA is shockingly good. I would spend at least 5 hours in that store.
Somebody told me to go through in one direction and when done, go around in the opposite direction. The eye notices things differently that way. Have found it does work, I always see something second time around that I completely overlooked before. Thanks for your videos, so interesting and always learn so much from you.
Shell Belts: we used to see similar shell belts used to hold wrap style muumuu island wear and swim suit cover-ups closed and cinched at the waste, when we lived in Hawaii. The shells were usually smaller though, like the third belt you showed. My wife had some that were wide elastic band style belts, with a single large real shell buckle. If the muumuu print was a more monochrome pattern (reds or oranges) those shells would really stand out.
That hot chocolate bar display was pretty popular with Rae Dunn collectors and people who go all out with holiday decor. There were several made for the different holidays. I know I saw them for Thanksgiving and Halloween also, and there was a green/red one that people really wanted for grinch theme decor. It might not have been bad for a market place piece at half the price they had it.
It blows my mind that your Goodwill stores Honor the half price tag sale for shoes and hard goods. Ours does not and I am in Pennsylvania also. My local Goodwill is small, and they take carts out on the floor the day before the color tag change And pull all of the hard goods with the color tag that is coming up the next day for half off. It’s so bizarre. You would think they would just want to sell the stuff that’s sitting there not selling.
Duvets: when we lived in Europe, my spouse and I traveled to London and one of the items she brought back to our place in Italy was an interesting Duvet set. In addition to the Duvet cover, the set had 2 down comforters (1 thick, the other thin). The idea was that you used the thick 1 for Spring and Fall, the thin by itself for Summer and both went inside the Duvet for Winter. Very useful since most houses there lacked central heat.
As an American who has moved to England almost 30 years ago, I first found applying duvet covers over duvets very challenging! Lol! I too, have seasonal duvets. After 28 years of living here, I was taught a trick which now takes only minutes to apply the cover! I was taught to wash your duvet cover inside out, after duvet has dried, find the upper two corners of duvet, then carefully apply the cover over duvet. Then arrange the lower corners of duvet cover to match up with corners of duvet. Then finally snap the bottom cover up. It literally takes me two minutes now versus ten minutes before learning this tip!
@@possumfriend2335 Yes, Duvets of all types are much more common in Europe. Japan, where I also lived has similar thick coverlets for winter. Most of the houses lack central heat, so they need lots of layers.
Longaberger also has lovely ceramics and metal stands (rought iron). Linens too. I live about 3 hours from the longaberger giant basket. It is amazing to see in person! Love your channel, your eye for detail is so good 😳if I’m thrifting I often hear your voice asking me if we need the item I am considering lol I find it difficult to not pick up “all the things” I admire your ability to restrain yourself! Love your house and your eBay set up! Considering setting up something similar.. would you consider putting out a detailed description? I would absolutely pay for your knowledge so maybe a small ebook for us newbies to eBay. Just a thought…
The large iron candle stick is from Southern Living at Home. It was sold back in the early 2000s in their catalog. I used to be a consultant back then and I still have 2 of them.
That one thing before the hot chocolate bar looked kind of like a shoe shine box. You know, when they have guys who actually do shoe shines for people? We have a car wash with a shoe shine guy. He's awesome.
I noticed you usually always have a larger purse that sits down in your shopping cart. Have you ever considered a smaller purse possibly a cross-body bag that you can actually have attached to you at all times? I say this because I was in a thrift store when a lady had someone reach into her purse and steal her wallet. Plus it would take up less room. This is just a thought I had. I always carry a cross-body bag when thrifting.
Love thrifting and love everything you found...the carts were fun. Always have to check out the luggage as the handles sometimes get broken inside and are difficult to open. Some of the prices were just too high for resale. But nice finds and love the seashell belts. Very Caribbean....
I saw a sunshine and shadow pink and white knit baby blanket at 23:30+ which you ignored. I wonder if this would sell as a wheelchair throw. I would be tempted to buy it to market it that way. I knit one for my grandmother many years ago, and she loved it.
I just found your videos, I thrift & flip the rooter & hen would've been in my cart 1 just like it is in an antique shop for 30 bucks I mostly shop for primitive or things I can make look farmhouse or prim whisk brooms are a must lol have fun hunting treasures.
Shell Bell's channel recently said Ebay changed their rules and you can no longer sell used perfume. And the new perfume has to include the ingredient list.
It's almost impossible to make a profit with the higher prices at Goodwill for me. I found a fabulous estate sale where I picked up designer handbags for $5 to $10. People are cheap in my area and I'm getting discouraged.
See you put the dolphin thing back due to damage which was just as well. IMO it was too much of a good thing and overkill with that many dolphins on one figurine.
Funny, but I use to collect pigs. He is ugly for a frog. It 8.00 on the inside of the shoe. 149.00on the seed (4) framed. 108.oo for the shoes. 130.00 on set of sheets. 130.00
@@lavenderclothesline I wonder what company had access to the designer prints? That would be interesting to know as a quilter who has made a baby quilt with some of the prints.

@@kristiekilmartin157 She has a video on it for sure. She uses one of her bedrooms. She has a dreasser where she stores her tissue papers, tape etc., and use the top surface to package items. Interesting!!! As always. Thanks
The things you buy I would never think of buying.
I have never been in a Goodwill with that much stuff. Y’all are lucky 😁

I have that brown casserole dish of my mothers. Scalloped potatoes and ham. Yummy!!!!!
wow a 2 cart day
“Maybe he was eating marshmallows.” 😂😂😂 2:51
I would make a Shower Curtain out of the Hilfiger Sheet !

Embroidery kits are great.
Yes!! And super easy to ship.
I was shocked she didn’t look into the green bin also
