    You have a real talent for explaining this device. It is a rare skill on UA-cam . I have just ordered one . Cheers from England.

    Really appreciate this demo. Just bought a Future Factory intending it for a stereo vocal delay. Learned a ton about the controls. Great reference!

    This video would be incredibly boring UNLESS you just bought one of these and are very unsure how to program many of these features. Thank you so much!!! I was going to sell the pedal until I saw this. Perfect! I’m keeping it.

      Glad to help Joe! Totally agree haha. It sounds great so there’s no need to demo that. But I could see that its features can be confusing so wanted to explain it as best I could.

      Sell you're pedal and get a Strymon Timeline because it's still King. It's still on my board because nothing has come out that can do more with better or additional features and the GUI is very user friendly for live performances. Whatever future pedal replaces my Timeline will have to do more and do it better, still doesn't exist yet. Lots of newer delay pedals are actually missing features that the Timeline has and it came out in 2011. If you're going to have midi, do it right FF. Having a midi in or out option only is ridiculous in 2022, "talk about a big ole' FACEPALM moment." The pedal really sounds great but what a deal breaker.

    The future factory pedal is certainly WYSIWYG, but that doesn't mean that setting it up is obvious. The manual is ok, but your video is EXACTLY what I needed to have it all make sense.
    Thank you so much for doing the video.
    The one thing I do know is MIDI. Look at page 18 of the FF manual. They have everything you need to send MIDI instructions to the pedal so you can change a variety of the control functions of the device (they are listed with their parameters on pg 18). I use a GigRig G3 switcher and it makes it simple to setup the MIDI connection to the FF. Once done you can setup pre-sets on the switcher &/or access specific presets on the FF.

      Glad to help! That’s why I wanted to make videos. How is the G3? Sadly not really available where I am.

      @@wrashchild Hi... I am in the US & GigRig is not a major player here either. The G3 was announced recently and after reviewing it & comparing it with other players, I reached out to GigRig in the UK & purchased one.
      What I love about it is that it is VERY obvious how to use it. The functionality is intuitive & on the occasion I use the deep dive menus, they are simple & clear. It is VERY well made & the creator spent a lot of time engineering the device with the musician (the user) in mind (the owner has both an engineering & musician's perspective). ...for a robust device, I was up & running quickly. The time I spend on the G3 now (other than playing music) is the fun of thinking about how I can be integrating it into my music more. ...and what I DON'T NEED TO DO is figure out how to use the G3.
      Thanks again for the video. I hope I can pay your video training methodology forward to others in the context of my own work. ...regards, Vince

    Thanks for good review! Can I ask you something? I'm using FF-1Y and AS-1R, and wanna make it stereo. As I have Victory V4 Kraken Amp pedal, so I'm gonna place my delay/reverb after the amp pedal and go to mixer directly with Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo. In this Situation, should I adjust my Free the Tone pedal's input level switch to "line level"? By the way, I'm gonna connect this pedals with XLR-TS cable(Kraken Cab sim -> FF-1Y) and TS cables(FF-1Y -> AS-1R -> Canvas). I'm not sure this is a right way :( could you give me some advice for this?

    Hi - I just bought the Future Factory because of your video, I have not received it yet but was reading about software downloads. I do not use a midi-controller, is that software only for the midi-controller or updates for the whole FF? This is the best video I have seen!!

    • @wrashchild
      @wrashchild  Рік тому +1

      Glad to be of help! The software is only for firmware updates I believe. Which probably won’t happen anymore as it’s been discontinued.

      @wrashchild  Рік тому

      @@joeshaban4665 I’m not sure how much you know about Midi and controllers etc. The future factory just receives or sends midi signals. Like most midi pedals you don’t need software to access that functionality. Usually software for pedals is things like easy editing and more detailed settings.

    Does the Tone Factory stereo Delay have the ducking feature?

    • @wrashchild
      @wrashchild  Рік тому

      Hi mate. Not it doesn’t. It’s not a multi delay unit, such as the Strymon timeline. It’s just a high quality hi-fi delay with a modulation effect.
