Hydra Plory Thank you :) I am experimenting with new cameras and new settings to get “cleaner” videos with clear view of the pedal and settings. Cheers
Hi Simon from Simon in Australia. I messaged you on TGP. This demo was extremely helpful. I think it is better to try the sounds you created in your demo clips as a starting point. I now know how to access the factory pre sets, but that is better left till later. There is a learning curve with this pedal for beginners. You're understanding and experience of blending 2 separate delays and your recording experience is excellent. I'll try and be patient and persevere. Keep up the inspiring work. 👍👌👏
strings2wood Hi Simon Thank you for your message here and on TGP. I am so busy so I completely forgot to reply, sorry 😯 There is definetly a learning curve with this pedal, I agree. I had the same experience when I first tried the pedal but at some point it starts to make sense and get under your fingers. I don’t think about it much anymore, I just use it. So time is your friend 😊 It is still the best pedalboard delay I have tried. Watch out for my new single btw, out on CDbaby (and everywhere else) as soon as the master is in one of these days 🤘🤘
Is it possible to access all 128 presets without using a midi switcher? I only see the option for selecting presets 1-4, or recalling preset 128. Thanks!
MIDI question: Since the FF only has one MIDI port with a switchable "In" or "Out" mode is it common practice that the FF is always the last MIDI device in the MIDI-cable-chain?
Question. Are you using any reverb on the lead tone or is it just the pedal? I use a small room verb for my rhythmic playing but was wondering if I need to change to a larger verb maybe hall for a lead. I was just curious to see what you were doing because it sounds unreal! Thanks
Hey Simon, so could I use this as just a regular stereo tremolo in one preset without the delay? That would save some real estate. Thank you so much for the amazing demo!
This delay is sexy, but your overdrive tone thats from another planet :D! Dynamic & fat. Again I am very curious about how you get that overdrive tone. Did you only use a overdrive pedal or also used the build in delay overdrive?
@@SimonGotthelfMusic I just can't believe you :O! How can one pedal deliver that tone, it sounds likes atleast two stacked overdrive pedals. On the other hand the pedal is 500 dollar.. so maybe it is true!
Danny Brooks Hi Danny. NO, I am running into the front of my Fender Bassman and Komet 29 heads. You can easily use it in the effect loop if you want to. Cheers
hey simon question about my ff-1y i just bought--i don't really understand the series mode? it just runs both delays into one channel for me. is this supposed to happen?
rewalzzz not unless you want that. Do you have any panning going on? An easy way to test it is to run through the Factory settings and change them fra stereo to series. If this works (it should) you can then see the settings and copy them. Cheers Simon
@@SimonGotthelfMusic simon, nope no panning! and it behaves the same way even with presets. maybe i have one of the dipswitches accidentally turned on? the line vs instrument switch? i don't know if that would chance anything though...
rewalzzz so just to make sure I understand. If you connect two amps in stereo mode you still have no panning of the delays? If that is the case something is wrong. Simon
@@SimonGotthelfMusic I just did. For anyone else looking for this or other Free the tone pedals. Apparently, they are on extended back order. There was a fire that destroyed the place that provides parts for them. No estimated time of arrival

Funny thing, that chorus sounded killer! I have seen worse pedals. It sounds dynamic, fat and open. It is still remaining the details. Most of the chorus pedals the details of the notes will disappear. Free the tone just made another step in making great products!
@@SimonGotthelfMusic Looking forward for part 2. Maybe you can help me out with a solution. I have a Free The tone flight time delay. Most of the time I just use it for getting some thick lead tone. I use it a very low rate (20 ms), nice trick that guitarist use for a fatter tone. If I buy the new delay I can use two delays on one pedal right? Long delay and short delay. So I can use one for the low rate 20ms and the second one for tape delay? Or should I keep the flight time for the 20ms delay and use the new delay pedal for the other delay settings? My English isn't very well, I hoop you understand my question. Should I use both or remove the older delay pedal and use the new delay pedal for my needs.
New camera settings are really great. Keep up the good work Simon!

Kick Ass. Luv one of these. The strat never slounded better till this delay in my opinion

What drive pedal did you use?
I used the Origin Effects Revival Drive
You can find more info in my pedalboard video with that pedal and the future Factory delay 😊 Cheers Simon
