The pain of fighting Luci in this run I can't imagine. He could just smile and root of gacha then basic attack crit spam and it's over. Awesome run and really entertaining as usual! Also a weird thing about Luci is you can skip his Diarahan although I have no idea whether its a hp range or something? But sometimes he just will not use it
I believe it's because he's scripted to use Diarahan after taking about 40,000 damage but he's also scripted to use Root of Evil after certain health thresholds which can overwrite the scripted Diarahan. It's pretty rare though and requires you to do a lot of damage in one turn

13:08 Something to think about in the future: part of the "spirit" of the Nuzlocke is to get attached to specific party members. I think using deceased demons as fusion fodder is a fine and normal adaptation, but IMHO you should have required one "live" demon to be used. As it was done you basically got a revival out of fusions of only deceased demons. I also think that you should have relaxed the encounter rules to the first thing that can be proactively acquired. So if you ran across a Foul during full moon it would count (or if it initiated the talk) but not impossible situations. This would also ensure that demons that you can't ever recruit via negotiation like Vile or Element didn't burn your party slot.
I mean, this is a cool challenge and already decently hard as it is, but he broke true Nuzlocke rules 10 minutes or so into the video. He traded for a bunch of elementals in Ginza, which wouldn't be allowed in Nuzlockes. You would be allowed to trade for one, but in traditional Nuzlocke rulesets, gift/game corner/etc would count as your encounter for that area.
I know you ran into a duplicate demon but in nuzlockes you can get a new encounter one if you already own that demon/pokemon. "If the first Pokémon in an area is one the player already owns, they may continue battling until they encounter one they do not own, and then attempt to catch it."
Hot take: Uber Pixie is overrated. She has the same resistances as a normal Pixie (elec resistance, not even immunity, and nothing else), and she's got nothing on actual powerhouses like Shiva.

Another reason is her being the first pI have never heard anyone say she is on the level of Shiva, Metatron or Beelzebub.
some nuzlocke have duplicate clause that says if you already have a pokemon in the same evolution line, you can skip that encounter and get a new one. seeing in nocturne there are some evolution lines (like the pixie, the tengu, idk what else), let's say name. i see some of the encounters that you ran into had a demon with the same name with the one you had. with yhe duplicate clause in place, you can technically get a new encounter
I’ll admit, I did some research on boss levels in preparation for a potential run like this. Apparently, the final level cap before the final bosses was none other than Mot (Lv. 89), which I find hilarious.
the idea of a levelcap in nocturne is funny to me because nocturne's damage calcs unironically make magic attacks weaker as you level up. this obviously won't apply to strength builds and strength focused devils, but you still need magic attacks because of the press turn system, so a levelcap will technically make the game easier.
for the first game over there, were you not allowed to talk to the kodamas to instantly end the battle? That could have saved you after the massive magic up boosts. I'm sure there's some reason you didn't do it, but I can't think of it.

I thought it was based on which version of Nocturne. Dante’s version he doesn’t cast it while Raidou’s version actually casts Diarahan.

That’s the duplicate clause, it’s in almost all nuzlocks, but technically is not a part of the core ruleset. This is me being extremely pedantic.

You don't need to keep the Pixie. You only need to know which demon your Pixie was fused into, e this demon turno into Super Pixie

Ah, Nocturne. Excellent game, but "we put up all buffs and debuffs and then the boss can't really do anything," is really just how this game works.
