Thanks for the info, very good detail, I lived in Virginia in the past and fished Buggs a few times and really caught fish, lots of structure in that lake, if you just scan around, pick just one creek and learn as much as you can about it.😊
P.S. LOVE HOW YOU SHOW CLOSE UP PICTURES OF YOUR LIVE NOT RECORDED ELECTRONICS THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE! MOST OTHERS ON YOU TUBE YOU CAN'T SEE. UNDERSTAND THE GLARE, BUT YOU STILL DID A GREAT JOB FILMING IT WITH YOUR GO PRO. AND YOU EXPLAIN EVERYTHING SO CLEARLY. ANOTHER ATTRIBUTE LACKING ON YT! AGAIN, GREAT JOB!
In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
When you hit the Mark button you are marking where the boat is currently located. To mark the location of the crosshairs hit the New Waypoint tab in the upper right hand corner.
I really appreciate the time you take to teach. I also have a Garmin 93sv and like it a lot, but there is still a lot for me to learn about it. I find plenty of brush on side and down view, but then I use Livescope to look for the fish. If I don't see any, I just move on. I subscribed and liked the video. Keep up the good work.
Great info vid ..one of the better ones I've seen on this subject ..A lot don't show as much detail on the screen on what you are looking at for identification .Afterall, if you don't know what's on the screen ......What's the point ...great job
That is a great comment . If you haven't seen this unit working you wont know what you are looking at . I'll do a video and try to show different structure and fish and break it down for others .
AWESOME VIDEO! NEW SUBSCRIBER AND LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THESE ELECTRONICS VIDEOS, INCLUDING LIVESCOPE. CAN'T LEARN ENOUGH ABOUT HOW TO USE THEM ALL TOGETHER TO FIND STRUCTURE AND FISH. GOD BLESS!
I know how to read a graph been doing it for years even with the old bird flashers lol but I still like these vids still can learn something from everybody good info 👍
Yep, I know what you mean . Its really tough to find a big brush pile holding fish and ride on by to find another brush pile . I like to work an area and find 5-or 6 then fish the best one for 15-30 minutes then move on . Its different when I'm keeping fish ,if I'm catching fish I stay on em .
When you are looking at 2D is that looking directly down from the transducer? Just bought a Humminbird Helix 9 w side scan and am trying to learn a little. Thank you for the videos. Great help!!
Nice crappie love to fish crappie when I visited the states for vacation and largemouth your content is astonishing I have been watching you for a little while now but I don’t think you have seen my videos yet I just caught my pb bass if you want to check it out 😊
hello and thanks for the great videos but i have a quick question how is it that you can see the creek channel so good what am i doing wrong or do you have a chip
I don't have a chip . The only thing i know for sure is , the larger your screen the more bottom detail you can see . If you are running a Garmin unit ,go into you setting and set is on 455 instead of 850 or 1200 , just depends on your unit . I can see better detail on my unit on the lower settings . I have a video on making those adjustment .
Instead of hitting mark, go to the top right and click waypoint when you have something marked. Hitting mark just marks the position of your boat. At least that's how mine is set up.
Thanks for the easy goin explanation. I get excited when I see structure like that on my unit lol.. same unit as yours. Do you mind saying what your sensitivity is on for down scan. Having a heck of a time telling whether I see fish or just a part of the cover. Thanks
set noise reject on "High"/ color gain 83-84/ regular gain 76 /TUG set to off / set bottom fill to on One think I did to get mine dials in was , when you know for a fact you are on fish I would move my setting till I achieved the appearance I was after . On a couple of occasion I have had to turn my gain down because there was so much silt in the water.
Great Video. I saw how you arranged your presets. Can you tell me how you were able to go so easily to split screen to show side scan on the left and Downview on the right? These are just the videos we all need. Thanks so much
The menu settings will give you split screen options. My screen is a 9" screen so I choose to use my 1-4 preset buttons to quickly switch between screens and keep the screen wide as possible .

Really good video. Very helpful for those of us learning to read our graphs..
I just installed the same Garmin unit and this video was a huge help. Thank you for the very informative information.
Glad it helped
I have camped at long wood a lot . I really like that area of Biggs Island 😊
Its a great place to fish.
Great video your exactly right finding good brush is 70 % of crappie fishing.
You got that right!

Excellent information. I can get in a hurry because I want to catch crappie so bad. Then I end up not catching anything anyway due to impatience.

Just can"t stay away from those BIG crappie on KERR! GRIZ
Awesome Job! Will side imaging show fish in cat tails, lily pads or grass or all of them? Thanks 🙏
How do you make quick screens connected to numbers. That’s pretty neat
Choose a screen you want to save. then hold the number button down for a few seconds and it should save it to that number.
Nice crappie love to fish crappie when I visited the states for vacation and largemouth your content is astonishing I have been watching you for a little while now but I don’t think you have seen my videos yet I just caught my pb bass if you want to check it out 😊

Why are you not showing us how to go through the process of marking spots in side and down scan?
I see the same thing on my helix 5 I think it's a big rock...
What is that small handheld camera - a GoPro?
Yes, a Go-pro.
Instead of hitting mark, go to the top right and click waypoint when you have something marked. Hitting mark just marks the position of your boat. At least that's how mine is set up.
10/4, I was new to the gamin unit back then>I need to do a new video and go back over it. Thanks
