  • This is how I use my fishing electronics to find brush piles. I use 2 Garmin 126 sv units on the the console. These are 12in graphs. On the bow of my boat I have a 126 sv for mapping and sonar. I have a 10in unit for the purposes of using my Panoptix locator.

    Hey Brian I wanted to say thank you. My husband Josh recently returned from being deployed. We’re Florida natives so fishing is his number one hobby. Your channel gave him something to focus on being apart from his family for months. Your channel is fun and educational but more than that. You’re giving a healthy outlet for service members who go somewhere to serve and can’t fish. Or do many of their favorite hobbies tbh. So a heartfelt thank you from our family for keeping my husbands mind healthy with stress breaks in your content. God bless your family.

    One of the best informational videos on this topic. I live on a big natural lake that is no deeper than 20 feet but has a lot of offshore humps. This gives me several ideas on how to look for different types of structure. Thanks

    Graphs can cut even the weekend worriers time down when locating fish. It maybe more important for the weekend angler because we don't get that much time on the water.

    Thanks for the video. I’ve been trying to decide on which brand of graphs to put on my boat. I’ve been leaning towards the Garmin Echomap UHD 93sv (lots of features for the price). I think this will help me make up my mind. Hopefully I’ll be adding the Force in a couple years. Keep the videos coming when you can.

      That’s Awesome. I’m definitely leaning towards that one. I’m going to buy it next month. My boat is a pontoon Fishin Barge. My wife and I felt more comfortable with the fence for the little ones. I’m slowly getting it geared up while our lakes are closed. I want it ready to go once we all get passed this.

    Brian, just found your channel. I recently installed a Garmin Striker S7. When using the down image I move very slow and see brush piles under me. I throw a marker directly beside my transducer but when I fish I never hit brush, even with treble hooks. How far behind the boat am I seeing the brush pile? Danny Jaynes

    Hey Brian, quick question about garmin. I just purchased a 7inch striker and I went out the other day and the graph would read the bottom great for 1-2 min then lose the bottom which would cause the depth to be lost and start to blink. What causes this and how can you fix it?

  • @Allegiance_Outdoors

    Brian, now that you have Garmin graphs, are you also considering running the Force trolling motor? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

    • @michaelhowell2609
      @michaelhowell2609 4 роки тому +1

      BUCKSLAYER Don’t know if Brian would agree but I use to have a 16’ aluminum boat with a garmin striker SV plus. Used it to win a local bass club against much larger boats. It’s inexpensive and easy to use.

      Thanks for the suggestions. Also in the market for a used trolling motor. What lb thrust do / did yall run? I should go back and re watch blats video

    • @michaelhowell2609
      @michaelhowell2609 4 роки тому +1

      BUCKSLAYER This is where you need to be carful. I bought a motor guide 54lb thrust. It was fine for ponds and reseviour s but rivers with current I struggled with. However my 16 foot boat was built up and weighted a lot. A 54lb thrust may be fine for a lighter 14ft boat. You can get that graph and trolling motor for under a $1000. It may seem like a lot but both those are quality items and in the long run you will not be sorry you spent the money.
