True. I often like to play Saryn as a support in noobish squads where I just spread spores, strip armor, let _them_ Rip and Tear, and only uncork Miasma if somebody goes down and I want time to revive them.
100% I can drop spores on survival, melee, run down a hallway, hit another, get 5 or 6 enemies infected, hit miasma, and run up to 16 to 20 enemies infected and a infection meter up to like 600. You can SHRED level 50 to 60 trash in seconds this way
Saryn is a cornerstone of warframe. Its bassicly the frame that makes new players realize how much damage is possible if you know the game well. "Oh, you like excalibur huh? Well do I have a video to show you" She is just the living embodiment of a warcrime that is usefull in any mission type that requires fast killing. And, shockers, that bassicly is the essence of Warframe.
First time I saw Sayrin I beelined it to the mission to farm her. It took me the longest time to reach near max range to get the "infect the world" level of nonsense. I think it was a little after they changed spores to corrosive that I got overextended.
Saryn is the reason I'm still playing Warframe. I tried to get into it for a while but had some issues. My friend kept saying "no don't use plat just grind for everything" but it wasn't fun. So, I bought her (and Nyx) and... I fell in love with the game. It was fun, and I'm now hundreds of hours in because of my toxic relationship with her.
For real on the don't use plat one, I get that it's much better long term to grind for it and save plat but I'm not going to last a long time if i just keep grinding for every single thing in the game 😅
I remember picking up Saryn after an early rework and seeing people complain that miasma wasn't the focus anymore. Spores are so fun; watching numbers pop up and spread is really satisfying
Bruh, those spores (and any stacking system warframe) are the reason I build Saryn... And for her design too. I use green and black color to copy the look of Shego from Kimpossible
Small correction: alot of people realized early in the rework that Saryn now was endgame king of endurance missions, however: for it to work, you needed a stable way to build and maintain Spore stacks. However before like 1h into a Survival mission, Spore's killed enemies too fast to gain stacks leaving you energy starved while being swarmed by high damage. This also made her kit... Very bad for low level missions, as you would spend most of your energy bar to try and spread Spores and then Miasma but both abilities killed enemies so fast in combo you couldn't maintain spores. It was an awkward time :P
@@regifanfrrson7935 strength governs spore stat chance. You need around 210% to get 100%. You ever notice spore just sometimes...doesn't stick? Yeah, that's why.
THIS. I use mainly a no-range build focusing on Venom dose, Toxic Lash and Xata's Whisper for weapons buffs + Molt speed, 90% of the gameplay spore spread is absolutely a hassle and not needed, it breaks too much.
There was one part of Saryn 2.0 that people don't often speak of due to how difficult it was to grasp its concept and application: *The Gas Lanka epidemic* Back then Gas wasn't really "Gas" but actually a proc effect that applied a burst of Toxin damage in its AoE followed by a cloud that applied Toxin. Now what people missed entirely was how Spores interacted with Critical Gas procs which resulted in one very niche build which was arguably even more broken than her "Spam Spores" room clear build, and that's just to apply 1 Spore within a crowd, and snipe the enemy for a Gas proc that 1 started a pandemic which spread several tiles.
Ive never seen anyone else mention this I stumbled on it accidently when I was running around with a gas build on the fragor prime, loved that vertion of saryn
Been loving this series, that you do a full retrospective on each Warframe's meta and how it's changed over the years and then cover their current meta is a real refreshing coverage of the game. I started playing Warframe around 7 years ago so listening to these old builds really takes me back.
People have no idea how busted Excal was back in the day, or how broken Frost was. or heck how you were immortal with a good trinity player. or how Ember Made people rage quit because they never had a chance to kill anything specially in Survival missions where you could sit as ember and not have to move for 40mins straight, The good ol days.
@DragonCaller1 Didn't last long if I recall. His shields would pop too fast scaling at higher levels. I sometimes miss the simplicity of early beta, when I had 5 warframe choices. It's a little crazy to come back after a couple year break.
@@kennylaysh2776 Well we did have a strength mod for a while there but that part of it was changed to make area smaller, But it was a nice 4-5 months. And remember his shield would stack on top of one another, so even if one was to break you have 5+ more to compensate. And yea i miss the simplicity of beta a bit, don't get me wrong the new content is nice and all but it is leading to content bloat big time.
God. Taking through a blast from the past. I played saryn since her day of release, pre prime. I haven’t played warframe in 2 years and I’m surprised I got recommended a video, had to see this saryn video. Saryn prime was my favorite warframe and this makes me want to play again.
I wish every Warframe was so cohesive. Could you talk about Nekros eventually? He's a one-trick pony that doesn't do anything particularly well besides farming. Others have easier ways to tank and deal damage. His gimmick is his shadows but not only are they inconsistent with no real way to control them, his terrify and soul punch go completely against it as they force enemies further away, spreading out your minions and reducing your DPS further.
@@beeleuazevedo8142 I'm not saying he can't do anything. Though he has problems, I use him for literally everything outside of capture. It's just that a lot of warframes do activities easier than he can and don't have as many obstacles dealing damage, tanking, or setting up to damage and/or tank
You are severely underselling Nekros. I have made mine unkillable. That is thanks to his 4 with the Augment, Gloom instead of his 1, all the health orbs that drop often thanks to Desecrate. Terrify makes enemies extremely vulnerable and flee, so they don't attack. Just for extra flex, I gave Arcane Eruption to knockdown enemies and Arcane Blessing even though Nekros never loses more than 100 health when he is used. So in short, Nekros is great at farming, which also helps him in combat by a lot, he is a natural killer and CC user, and is extremely hard to kill.
This series is great, good work sir. I know revenant is a relatively newer warframe and doesn't have quite the same history as some of these, but it could be fun to talk about how a warframe that got relegated to ballerina meme spin to win builds, ended up being an immortal warframe, with crazy dps set ups and the go to archon hunter. I always thought it was weird people didn't realize how good he was when he came out lol
Is not like people didn't realize it, the problem is that revenant is very boring to play and showcase for UA-cam videos, he is just that uninteresting for a video showcase, people will tend to watch azninvasions showcasing another cool and intriguing synergy that they can try themselves rather than just...tank. He does one job and does it very well. That is all. Although his 1,3,4 having some serious issues to get begin with, his 2 alone carried him very much 90% of the time, he literally jumped from B- to A+ or S- tier just by a buff on his 2 after eximus update, so does a nerf will have him banished into the depths of not viable at all. He is very one-sided, you rarely can have fun and flexible builds with him, tbh. Even rhino can try out tons of possible ability synergy with helminth systems due to roar and iron skin, even though he is almost as boring as revenant due to straightforward, standalone abilities that he had. Tldr: he is well known to be very good, but he has a very uninteresting kit that doesn't incentivize much gameplay variety and showcase due to severely lacking build variety, thus not many ppl talk about him.
I love how you go in details over past meta. I’ve been playing before mele2.0 but I take big breaks. Last time I played was when endless void ended and new relic system was added. So it’s great to see all the meta and catch up
Since you've talked about why lots of frames are good I think it would be interesting to see a video about why tentacle daddy hydroid is a complete failure
He has so much potential to be cool lol. He can spread quite a few elements to the battle field making him a good CO warframe, to bad he can't tank. He can crowd control really well, to bad you're completely useless in the puddle, and the enemies are flopping around everywhere with kraken so goodluck killing them. His one should reduce armor like shattering impact with out an augment, his 2 should be replaced with something to help his survivability, Puddle should be a trap you set in doorways, and his 4 should pin enemies to the ground or the nearest wall and it should follow you if you cast puddle on it
@@hippiemonk5995 it'd be great if his 2 and 3 were mixed together and given a water form. Maybe even change his passive to enable 3 or 4 hemilith abilities.
thats DE fault ,they expend to much time on nerfing the current meta because they can admit they made a dynasty warriors game and try to fix it nerfing in it rather than improve alternatives playstyles
DE making Helminth subsume: 'What ability should Saryn give?' Saryn: **Bursts through the door* 'Let's give everyone the ability to rip off their skin!'
When I first played Seryn, I didn't give her much attention. I was just grinding out mastery xp and she was unranked in my armory. I then max ranked and formaed her twice I don't even have a good build for her yet, but she has peeked my interest
I started playing like 2 days before Saryn was released, and she was the first frame I ever farmed parts for (with a friend's help, of course) because as soon as I saw her, I knew I had found my primary warframe. I've taken massive breaks from the game since then, but to this day she's still the first frame I get on after a long hiatus because no matter how much she's changed over the years, Saryn is my comfort frame.
The problem with Saryn is why would i bother with a new frame? who have like 100 mechanics that need to work in perfect synergy to deal HALF her damage
Saryn has always been good and usable for most of the content that existed at the time of each iteration. From early days where infested Xini was the most popular farm, and as you stated the corrupted mods for negative duration build really assisted in amping up her Miasma damage, increasing the ticks it did. When her spores were changed it became such a great AOE damage dealer that was better than what Miasma ever was, but people didn't really understand how the spores worked. She was so good for oldschool T4 Defense as now her spore scaled off her weapons, and I personally would use a gas Lanka build. Start one target with a Spore and then shoot that target and watch how the spore spread to all enemies and those enemies in the map take that initial damage too from my gas procced Lanka. You'd see enemies get map cleared now from this new gas weapon + spore combo that had much better scaling than Miasma. I found it strange with how strong she was DE decided to rework spores again, but I can see why. Making it much easier and simpler to use to aoe wipe, but it needing to build up a bit instead of a not well known mechanic setup to map wipe. I think Saryn is one of the few Warframes that have been consistently good in her whole existence. I like to consider Warframes up to about Valkyr are pretty much the OG set of Warframes, and she's been treated the best throughout her life. The rest have had very weird ups and downs and treatment by DE.
Little late to the party, but old school Saryn 4 was so good because of a few things: 1) Her old Miasma was so good because of the old damage system. Back then poison damage would directly damage health by ignoring shields and armor. Therefore enemy levels/shields/armor really didn't matter seeing as her damage type would apply straight to health no matter what. 2) Her old Miasma also was affected by duration. Therefore you could mod for negative duration and deal thousands of poison damage pretty much instantly. These two things did make everything except her 2 and sometimes 3 useful for anything. 3 was sometimes fun for the old spin2win attack. You totally got it with the 1 button issue her old version had.
My favorite Saryn build is a high range and power build, with Gloom in place of Molt. It pretty much makes her unkillable. Honestly there might be more meta builds with roar for more damage, or Nourish for more team support. But I really do like the fire and forget nature of gloom.
I just unlocked her and even having no idea what I was really doing and with almost no mods or max lvl, I was doing massive cc. I might actually like this frame!
Wow, it's been 5 years since I've played Warframe. When I saw your video on my feed, I just had to watch it. What a trip down memory lane!! I really love your research and your skill recap at the end. Looks like I'll have to binge-watch all your videos. Keep doing Lotus' work, my dude!
i remember the first rework of spores and the introduction of ESO . u just put spore on an enemy and it will spread when killed. and the damage ramp was so fast it would insta clear the room. the respawn of enemies was not fast enough for the spores.
Saryn has been my favorite frame since the original rework, and I was only surprised by the second rework. It didn't feel like she needed one, but what we got was an excellent boost.
Bro, I think you're the only person on earth that can do a video on Dark Sector. And I mean the nodes in every planet, I don't know if there's video of it, but it was actually a pvp mode. You could even gvg with your clan and it was wild. Clans could actually charge for ppl to farm there. Ppl talk about raids but no one mentions those and they were quite fun
I'm gonna be honest, Nova was the strongest warframe in the old version. Her ultimate would slow all enemies in 40m radius, apply an explosion capable of reaching 20m something and it was instant. The moment a Nova came in she would just use ultimate and shoot a single enemy clearing pretty much everything on the map and more. It was just amazing at killing things plus enemies took double damage from your weapon so it was pretty OP.
Fyi, you can fix the whiting pixelation on the edges of your Warframe 1:45-1:50 by adjusting your AA, specifically TXAA usually causes this when it's too high. Another issue that's common is shadows being set too high. Dail a few of these settings back, and your image quality will zoom. You will absolutely not notice the difference unless you're playing on a 16k Samsung panel. Even in 4k, with a few settings notched to medium like shadows/TXAA, your image quality will be WAY better without those whiting pixels.
Its been years since i last played...i remember when spore spam with max range and duration was the go to, i found it incredibly fun seeing numbers pop up everywhere. Last time i played the meta was damage and a little bit of duration. Whenever Mesa prime came out was when i played last lol. Kinda thinking of getting back into it
Saryn has a increased health damage aoe with Miasma, Taunt Dummy + Speed, DoT+Spread to all Enemies within range (increased damage after Miasma) and attacks deal additional toxin damage and 2x for Melee
I've used her so much for leveling any of my weapons in survivals or defense because she would just instantly (depending) kill all enemies in the area.
In all the changes she always had something to make her meta, it used to be toxin damage weapons scaling the molt spores spam where torrid was the only choice, then it was her actually buffing the guns on railjack, now we have helminth so u can now armor strip or even more damage buff, some even replace her 4 with Grendel's helminth if they dont care about map wide viral.
I think you mean a 'Walking Geneve Convention VIOLATION', rather than a 'Walking Geneva Convention'. (As those two things are roughly the opposite of each other.) If she prevented status effects, you could make a case for her being the former.
Seeing old warframe is so strange now, I'd almost forgotten what it looked like. It's as if it's an completely different game and we're playing Warframe 2.
I picked up shroom lady prime awhile back and basically she's the frame I play to be in any way capable of pulling my weight above level 60. I'm just no good at all at actually acquiring mods, so I have to be hand-held through the progression by a friend in order to advance. Because Saryn scales directly with the durability of her enemies, she's the only frame I have who can do solid damage at those high levels with just an efficiency duration build (the most cohesive build type I have the mods for). I *can* use Titania with the slash pixia at those same high levels, but she just doesn't pull her weight unless I keep up the other abilities too and even stacked with efficiency and duration she burns herself out doing that without an Arcane Energize in her immediate vicinity, so until we can manage to get me one of those my Titania is gonna remain a familiar tethered to my buddy when playing at high levels.
If you replace her clone with Sevagoth's Gloom skill, add some range, about %150 power strength and an aoe weapon for Acolytes. Use spores, spread them with your weapon and then use your 4th skill and voila, those steel path enemies literally melt before your very eyes
It's easy to forget just how deadly Saryn can be if you don't play her for a while. The other week, I was doing one of those annoying Zariman bounties that had a 7 minute time limit. First tried it with Rhino, but failed horribly. Then I swapped to Saryn and finished the mission with almost 3 minutes to spare.
@@saimyintmyat9373 Extermination. But it was like 130 enemies and my weapons weren't really powerful enough to one-shot level 80 Grineer left and right.
18:35 that didin't matter. Viral used to work diffrently than it does now. Viral procs used to halve enemy hp and you could only proc it once per enemy.
I remember just I've been swearing my life behind Saryn on Draco just before spore damage ramp up change. IMO that was the most ridiculous version of Saryn ever. What many people didn't know, that was the actual start of the viral damage meta, also very few people knew this back then: spores transferred status effects. What I did back then was: mod for max range and duration (!), equipping gas Ignis (it was before its punchthrough was nerfed), cast spore on an enemy (!), cast toxic lash, and shot the enemy. What happened then, always made RJ Excal mains blush. 1. 1 spore cast on enemy popped and spread to all enemies within 50-60m radius 2. Ignis procced gas damage 3. 2nd spore popped and transferred this status effect to ALL ENEMIES WITHIN 50m 4. One DoT tick later everything was dead. Unbeknownst to me, due to the bug with gas status effect back then - all enemies killed by spread gas statuses were counted as stealth kills, and had their damage multiplied by 512x While Excals at this time were able to kill 16 enemies at one cast when modded with 45% efficiency, I could kill entire Draco with only 75 (unmodded) energy. I often specifically asked to not bring Trinity in the squad. Man, people were mad, but when they saw the result they were convinced. I was actually angry Saryn was reworked to 2.0, because spores now carried over only toxin status, not all of them.
I got 4 Warframes (still somewhat new to the game) had a Mag phase then Wukong got Umbra stuck with him for awhile then tried normal Saryn in Circuit and the sound when Miasma was cast made me like the character. Saw this video decided to see how she was in the years. Did managed to get Saryn Prime and now from watching this although it’s a bit aged now does show me how to use her bit more efficiently 😊
I remember back in the day when I'd run a Defense on (then) Derelict, where I used the Molt - Spore nuke every round. I was still pretty young and dumb at the game, but man, was it fun.
I have a 5 forma build on her but I don't really like the spore spreading gameplay but I do use her as a boss killer since u can use her augment for 1st ability for corrosive buff, third ability for toxin buff and u can also put roar without it asking u to take out an ability, I use her mainly as a glass cannon against archons and bosses but yea since I need quite a lot of power strenght and some duration she is squishy
You should consider calculating on how to refill her shields fully with a fast cast so you could have a shield gate refill handy. That's the survivability option of any frame past level 100 unless you invest some slots into it. Try equipping the decaying dragon key if it ends up taking a lot of augur mods to refill it
I'm really glad I found this channel, I've been a diehard Warframe player since about 2013 & Saryn is/has always been one of my favorites! Until Wisp released, she was my "It" Warframe!
saryn has always been one of my favorite frames. i love watching silly damage numbers exist around the map. it wasnt until recently i understood just how much damage she does on any given mission.
I remember being laughed at for claiming Saryn can replace Mesa after first nerf (can't get trinity energy while peacemaker active) for Void Defense grinding... But everybody was happy with my back then favorite frame.
So, you are wrong about saryn (very) early days, regarding venom. it did low damage, that's right, but the spores could stack on top of each other, and the AoE wasn't that bad. with a weapon and some punch through, you could pop a spore on enemy A, then pop two stacked spores on enemy B, then pop 4 stacked spores on enemy C. exponential progression. it was EXTREMELY strong, way stronger than miasma, especially for endless missions. the only problem (which is why it wasn't widely used) was that tens of thousands of spores stacked on each other on every enemy around you tended to crash peoples computers (either CTD if you were lucky, otherwise a BSOD), until they removed the spores ability to stack (update 9.7 "fixed performance issues with venom") and then she became a miasma bot.
Shes the strongest element buffing frame, wiht corrosive toxin and viral, and potentially a subsume, yo can do a lot. And then we need to talk about the scaling damage and the other benefits.
Shooting Gallery with augment on her 4 & Saryn can stay alive no problem. Ofc there's also Gloom, Nourish etc. but yeah Saryn's alot of destruction. ☠️🍀 Nova when?💫
Saryn was my first love in warframe I sawzher xenomorph looking head and her insane nuke potential cough cough old saryn nuking entire star systems be damned... And well she was my first plat purchase since then I've rode the saryn main train through all her ups and downs although i never really saw downs only side grades to her kit shifting her from nuking to priming and then nuking lol she is just straight awesime.
Really though, people slept on Saryn after her very first rework, she got hate because people didn't understand the concept of pressing more then one button for damage (because like stated in the video, that was the whole game at that point), and you had some content creators reinforcing the idea that she was weaker because they also didn't understand how to use her new kit which just spread the idea that she was nerfed further because a decent chunk of the player base takes what their favorite content creators say as the gospel. Truth is, she went straight to S tier from the jump with her rework, the rest of the changes were just icing on the cake, just took a while for the majority of players to catch on to this.
i remember when i was completely new to the game i really wanted saryn because she seemed really cool, little did i know shes one of the strongest frames in the game and also very fun to play lmao
I haven't played Warframe for the past 2 years but I'm happy my favorite frame still looks good. I always choose the "magician/sorcerer" when I play games so the concept of killing monsters without having to touch or use a gun (I don't like games with guns LMAO) means Saryn is my insta favorite frame. She is like an AOE magician/sorcerer specialized in poison.
One thing I don't see mentioned is that the old miasma had a "bug." The more you went in the negative duration, the more damage it did per tick. When you have 12.5% duration, each tick will do 1/0.125 = 8 times damage. The ability will do 1+4*0.125 = 1.5 ticks in total, with the initial damage tick unaffected by duration. The result is 2.2 times damage by simply going negative on duration. That was the premise that allowed her to nuke enemies up to level 50. A minimum duration build rendered rest of her kit useless though. With her rework, the miasma nerf was mostly just fixing this interaction.
I liked the version of saryn when she got her prime version the most I really loved the comfort of nuking everything just by putting spores on your clone in a safe corner
I remember every rework having some level of absurd nonsense to break it. first the original miasma scaled with negative duration in weird ways that simply made no sense. then it was spores with the stacking toxin dot that could hit damage cap dots. then it was the lanka gas build that broke that. then was the torid on molt nonsense. each iteration she lost the minmax map nuke silliness and now just works fairly hassle free. Good changes overall but I will admit I do miss seeing a 400k toxin dot being proliferated over the entire map for the funnies.
Warframe is bittersweet, a frame can appeal to you but playing it in end game is damn near pointless. The difference in power of saryn compared to the weakest frames is like a newborn compared to mma fighter. I just hope the devs bring more balance and make all frames much more viable
I hate how the frames that i used most were fucked. My favorite was ember, and they neutered her. I had to take some time off when my father passed in 2017, and hadnt had a chance to get back on until late last year. I hate all the changes so much because i have no idea what im doing anymore.
To me saryn was just the start to a new era in Warframe. Warframe was never really about the "holy trinity" of mmos (being dps, tank, and healer roles as mandatory in partied content). While metas generally formed around that trinity in the early days once people started to get their amps and the corrupted mods came out the dawn of "become a walking god" had come. There are frames that will lean more towards support but generally there's always some cheese build that comes out that ends up being good for its niche (trinity + sancti castanas on index).
Spores actually will spread once if the enemy you directly cast it on (patient zero/ first generation/ host) dies from them, but not enemies affected through transmission (they only spread if shot) so still not technically infinite...
Oh Boy, I was one of top players of early stages of warframe. Saryn was for sure most versatile warframe for missions, but you should see how broken nyx was in early stages.literally goat of any defense mission and of course usable in most of missions. Why she was goat? 1. Her ultimate was not damage caped. No matter how much damage your bubble got, it did not speed up usage of energy 2. Teammates could refill your energy while you were using ultimate. Not like now, where you can't get new energy while using it 3. Teammates could boost your ultimate by shooting your bubble. It was so easy to kill enemys even after 1hr in mission.
her current state in the game, is great, she was once a warframe who used poison like volt used electricity, but became a plague like warfame, saryn with spore actually gives more to her identity and more fun to play with,

Nidus and Harrow are in that awkward spot as well - pretty mid in low levels, but stupidly strong on high level content
my low str build with max range was made just for that
@@regifanfrrson7935 strength governs spore stat chance. You need around 210% to get 100%. You ever notice spore just sometimes...doesn't stick? Yeah, that's why.
at that time the way to go was boosting ignis and spraying or occasional room clearing with miasma (on low level).
THIS. I use mainly a no-range build focusing on Venom dose, Toxic Lash and Xata's Whisper for weapons buffs + Molt speed, 90% of the gameplay spore spread is absolutely a hassle and not needed, it breaks too much.
There was one part of Saryn 2.0 that people don't often speak of due to how difficult it was to grasp its concept and application:
*The Gas Lanka epidemic*
Back then Gas wasn't really "Gas" but actually a proc effect that applied a burst of Toxin damage in its AoE followed by a cloud that applied Toxin.
Fr I been playing for 7+ too but take big breaks so it’s nice to catch up on different meta
People have no idea how busted Excal was back in the day, or how broken Frost was. or heck how you were immortal with a good trinity player. or how Ember Made people rage quit because they never had a chance to kill anything specially in Survival missions where you could sit as ember and not have to move for 40mins straight, The good ol days.
ash was the definition of press 4 to win too, just stab the entire room in the face
How was frost broken? I probably started way after that. Though i love Frost and wanna know how he was a god
@@theeenforcer4669 Well Frost could put up his Frost Shield endlessly stacking, made him the best choice for most if not all missions.
Slow Nekros is very funny - you replace your 1 with Valkyr's battlercry, put augment on your Terrify and slow enemies to death
I've been doing everything with Nekros lately. Arcane blessing made him very viable.
I think you're underestimating nekros
So it’s great to see all the meta and catch up
What do you think of THAT switch?
@@klove5974 i dont like relics. I enjoyed t4 survival keys. It was a test for skill and power. relics can go away.
His one should reduce armor like shattering impact with out an augment, his 2 should be replaced with something to help his survivability, Puddle should be a trap you set in doorways, and his 4 should pin enemies to the ground or the nearest wall and it should follow you if you cast puddle on it
Have you considered how Yareli does better water element shenanigans than tentacle man? It's a sad world for hydroid mains (all 3 of them)
@@fishcake4473 sigh...make that 4. Funny enough he's never been Nerfed directly. The game just evolved around him then he fell behind.
Seeing baby Brozime was certainly a nostalgia trip
DE making Helminth subsume: 'What ability should Saryn give?'
Saryn: **Bursts through the door* 'Let's give everyone the ability to rip off their skin!'
Shed skin?
Yeah, Molting..
@@thethoughtexperiment8990lol imagine giving Spores to everyone, yeah, they'd probably remove the damage stacking mechanic if they did.
When I first played Seryn, I didn't give her much attention. I was just grinding out mastery xp and she was unranked in my armory.
I then max ranked and formaed her twice
I don't even have a good build for her yet, but she has peeked my interest
Ballas may have been thinking with his balls when he made saryn, but that may also have been the best thing he did.
She can armorstrip again, this aged well 👨🦯
I started playing like 2 days before Saryn was released, and she was the first frame I ever farmed parts for (with a friend's help, of course) because as soon as I saw her, I knew I had found my primary warframe. I've taken massive breaks from the game since then, but to this day she's still the first frame I get on after a long hiatus because no matter how much she's changed over the years, Saryn is my comfort frame.
You've revealed so much about yourself unintentionally
As the Founder who named her I'm more then happy to always see videos about Saryn.
Love my daughter, praise her... yessss
sarin or saryn? either way saryn is the perfect name
The problem with Saryn is
why would i bother with a new frame?
who have like 100 mechanics that need to work in perfect synergy to deal HALF her damage
Little late to the party, but old school Saryn 4 was so good because of a few things:
1) Her old Miasma was so good because of the old damage system.
When I got Saryn I already had Gara which is just Lvl of dumb broken fun but Saryn found her place and maaaaan she do be fun.
My favorite Saryn build is a high range and power build, with Gloom in place of Molt. It pretty much makes her unkillable. Honestly there might be more meta builds with roar for more damage, or Nourish for more team support. But I really do like the fire and forget nature of gloom.
Gotta love the eurobeat playing in the back while Saryn spins like a beyblade through the void.
Saryn with gas on lesion melee and arcane on ele proc is stupid with venom dose and roar, gas clouds everywhere and lesions unique effect is so good
Saryn needs one last rework where instead of sheding her skin, Molt sheds her clothes.
Bruh 💀
I just wish I could find a video that walks you through the steps to utilize her the right way! Especially for end game stuff!
In all the changes she always had something to make her meta, it used to be toxin damage weapons scaling the molt spores spam where torrid was the only choice, then it was her actually buffing the guns on railjack, now we have helminth so u can now armor strip or even more damage buff, some even replace her 4 with Grendel's helminth if they dont care about map wide viral.
saryn prime was the newest warframe when i first started playing, so naturally she was my first prime. no regrets 🙌
Saryn is so good but I can never play her because for some reason I can't get the enemies to spawn fast enough so they can die
Can be quite annoying in low dense missions
Wtf are u playing
I think you mean a 'Walking Geneve Convention VIOLATION', rather than a 'Walking Geneva Convention'. (As those two things are roughly the opposite of each other.)
If she prevented status effects, you could make a case for her being the former.
I absolutely love these kinds of videos. Going in depth on a single frame is very entertaining imo.
Seeing old warframe is so strange now, I'd almost forgotten what it looked like. It's as if it's an completely different game and we're playing Warframe 2.
Yeah we definitely need more long-form essay Warframe yter's like you, keep at it
Much credits to you, for doing all this research and effort into a video
Nuke frames enter the building. Saryn: My spore count!
Which mission was in that bounty ?
@@saimyintmyat9373 Extermination. But it was like 130 enemies and my weapons weren't really powerful enough to one-shot level 80 Grineer left and right.
@@darthplagueis13 ah I see understandable.
1. 1 spore cast on enemy popped and spread to all enemies within 50-60m radius
2. Ignis procced gas damage
3. 2nd spore popped and transferred this status effect to ALL ENEMIES WITHIN 50m
4. One DoT tick later everything was dead.
Unbeknownst to me, due to the bug with gas status effect back then - all enemies killed by spread gas statuses were counted as stealth kills, and had their damage multiplied by 512x
While Excals at this time were able to kill 16 enemies at one cast when modded with 45% efficiency, I could kill entire Draco with only 75 (unmodded) energy.
Amazing video once again! I would love to see a video doc on Ember, she is amazing and has had quite a bit of work.
Try equipping the decaying dragon key if it ends up taking a lot of augur mods to refill it
thx for the tip I'll take a look
"Almost everything volt can she can do as good as him if not better"

I'm really glad I found this channel, I've been a diehard Warframe player since about 2013 & Saryn is/has always been one of my favorites! Until Wisp released, she was my "It" Warframe!
I remember People grinding hard for Vulkar riven with negative impact to proc gas with every shot to the spores, that was crazy.
Always wait for these😮💨
saryn has always been one of my favorite frames. i love watching silly damage numbers exist around the map. it wasnt until recently i understood just how much damage she does on any given mission.

Ive been a saryn main for years and I never knew you used to be able to cast spores on molt
Im really glad i watched this. I was running around spamming spores on everything that moved
Thats nostalgic Saryn with -Duration clearing whole rooms and coptering with melees.

OK. That's a GREAT Refence. Props for knowing it.
I'm all for a Trinity video. Old Trinity was busted as heck. 100% damage mitigation and her Damage Link were out there at the time.
I bet Saryn is nice and here you are insulting her.
I started playing in 2014 and stopped many times, started from the beggining now on pc and these videos make me feel old
"Cure this sick horde with the greatest of plagues" - Ballas to Saryn Prime
I liked the version of saryn when she got her prime version the most I really loved the comfort of nuking everything just by putting spores on your clone in a safe corner
Trinity always have somewhere special in my heart
Amazing series. It was awesome to learn the history of my favorite frame. BTW, the past tense of "cast" is cast.
I love how in the gameplay Sayrn is spinning like a beyblade
Saryn's been my main since starting back when you had to mod abilities in.
I was running regen molt on most frames until 'molt reconstruction' arcane came out. Highly recommend for low to mid builds
Used to paint the room with spores using Saryn with my Mutalist Cernos
Saryn was the first Warframe I'd use to reach lvl 9000 enemies by in 2018. I was in a group but I had the highest damage given.
You put me in a time machine with the first frame I bought when I got my PS4 and downloaded this.
Spores actually will spread once if the enemy you directly cast it on (patient zero/ first generation/ host) dies from them, but not enemies affected through transmission (they only spread if shot) so still not technically infinite...
Yea i personally just love stun locking everything in missions with volt
Oh Boy, I was one of top players of early stages of warframe. Saryn was for sure most versatile warframe for missions, but you should see how broken nyx was in early stages.literally goat of any defense mission and of course usable in most of missions. Why she was goat?
1. Her ultimate was not damage caped. No matter how much damage your bubble got, it did not speed up usage of energy
2. Teammates could refill your energy while you were using ultimate. Not like now, where you can't get new energy while using it
3. Teammates could boost your ultimate by shooting your bubble. It was so easy to kill enemys even after 1hr in mission.
My friend who introduced me to Warframe, who is a founding member and has Excal Prime, stopped playing in part because of nukeframes like Saryn.
her current state in the game, is great, she was once a warframe who used poison like volt used electricity, but became a plague like warfame, saryn with spore actually gives more to her identity and more fun to play with,
Ah, yes, these Slide Slash spams, what a nostalgic video it is
I still remember when you'd attach 6 spores to your molt and watch it infect the whole map in 1 second whenever you would dare bump into it.
