A grasshopper lures are very easy to use, it's made to catch bigger or smaller panfishes and bass , and other game fishes, all game fishes eat grasshoppers and crickets, the grasshopper lures doesn't eliminate smaller panfishes and bass, it's a universal lure, all year around.

Crickhopper lures do work. I have a couple of them. It's a stretch for me to believe the fish are thinking, "Hey, that's a grasshopper." It's more like, "Something moving. Small. Yellow. Get away if I don't grab it now."

your right, i always think about things like this, i feel designers make it look elaborate to sell it to customers, a spoon catches all kinds of fish and its just shiny

@@CreekFishingAdventures You're 100% correct. Fishing tackle is designed to catch fisherman, not necessarily fish.

Up north we only have painter turtles, spotted turtles, musk turtles, snapping turtles, wood turtles, box turtles. No soft shell turtles or terrapins.

You can rub the tounge of a bass and a spotted bass has a rough patch but the large mouth bass has a smooth tounge

I wish they made them a little bit heavier so you can cast them more than 10 feet though lol the only small creeks where I live are only filled with minnows but we have a few that are 50 feet or so wide

Is that an ultra light combo rod and reel you are using there? I have a couple of the crick hoppers too. Is the firetiger color one any good? Ok you just fished it after fishing the black one and caught a fish on it.

    • @CreekFishingAdventures

I was using a medium action with 6 lb line, but ultralight with 4 lb would be better, I have used the firetiger a bunch and it works good
