    I added 3 tons of pelletized lime to my 1 acre plot and got the PH in the mid 6's. Now I use Plot Dr. when I plant and have great success with it. In my opinion Plot Dr is very different than other liquid lime products. After spraying it looks like I white washed my field and the plants love it. All that being said this year I'm due to add 1 ton of pelletized lime again

      Nice. It can be added for extra calcium for sure. Some are better then others. But definitely 💯 on the 3 tons of lime. 👊

    I recently got my soil tests back and am needing to spread around 5500 pounds of lime. What would be your thought on buying/spreading that much.

      When it calls for that much at once it’s best to do split applications. Maybe spread half of it this year and another half next year. Especially if your cec is low.

    Bought 2.5 tons of ag lime this year, got about 1000 pounds left to spread, hopefully by next weekend

    North Georgia what's your thoughts on liquid fertilizer. Or chicken litter on plots. Lots of chicken farms in my area I could get it from. Thanks

      Liquid fertilizer is great I use it all the time but most importantly is lime. Soil samples and lime.
      I’ve never personally used chicken litter but know people who do and say it works well.

    I believe in liquid lime if you get the right kind! Plot Dr. Has great products, it works for me . just stay away from plot start that Jeff recommends

      There may be better then others and it may work for a short period of time but it’s still a short term bandaid 🩹

    I’ve seen you use pellet fertilizer with micro nutrients. Where do you buy that at?

    • @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors
      @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors  9 місяців тому +1

      Yes I have and still do. If you go to your fertilizer store ask for starter fertilizer with the micros. Most starter fertilizer is a 10-10-10 but they should have it with the micros

      does your pell lime have to go thru a liquid state before it is available to the plants?

    Ag lime or Pelletized? What do you prefer

    • @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors
      @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors  9 місяців тому

      Well ag lime would be preferred if you have a way to spread it. I use pelletized lime because it’s convenient and easy to spread

      @@jldj5000see if you have a co-op ag store. Ours has it in bulk. I can go get a fertilize spreader and buy it by the ton a lot cheaper than buying it by the bag.

    I use pellet lime. Put it down in February because it takes 60 to 90 days for it to change the ph. Its not that expensive 600 pounds was 75 Dollars

      Definitely takes time for sure. If you work it in the ground it helps break down and react faster as well. 👊👊
