Is a Scangauge II worth buying for your Overland rig?

- Some pieces of car tech just don't go out of style or age and this could very well be one of those examples where a #scangauge could be the perfect full-time accessory for any #overland rig. We have it installed on our 2012 #toyotasequoia and we couldn't be happier. The price was good and the gauge was easily found at our local car part store.

ScanGauge 2 user checking in; I’m pretty sure we both bought the same bracket off Etsy. 😅 I installed mine because I had it leftover from a previous car and now that I’m setting up my 4Runner to tow a camping trailer I want a real time transmission fluid temperature output and the ScanGauge can do that via the advanced custom gauge feature.
If I were buying new I’d probably get a ScanGauge 3 instead because it can show more outputs at once and has a full color screen.

These things need constant monitoring and it can clear codes... Best thing you can get it done without an A pillar of gauges!

Can you show some other features like the transmission temp oil temp and boost? I’m thinking about getting this for my 2020 ford ranger overland rig as well and this seems pretty legit
I can’t really show boost sadly but there’s a ton of other videos that go into detail on more features.
I have question why this gauge can reed live data of my Toyota Lc100 2007 car but the other fancey gauges can’t reed it from the OBF can I make it work is there any way , please help ?
Scangauge 2 is a pain to use the functions on. I’ve had one for many years now with zero issues but after just getting the 3 the 2 is completely insufficient. The only benefit to the 2 is the smaller footprint.
Had an SGII since 2015. How is it insufficient to III? Does the 3 use an Ethernet connection as well?
Can this monitor the tire pressures in the sequoia?
Sadly no. But it can on other vehicles.
Seems like is made to last and take little space.
