ScanGauge 2 user checking in; I’m pretty sure we both bought the same bracket off Etsy. 😅 I installed mine because I had it leftover from a previous car and now that I’m setting up my 4Runner to tow a camping trailer I want a real time transmission fluid temperature output and the ScanGauge can do that via the advanced custom gauge feature. If I were buying new I’d probably get a ScanGauge 3 instead because it can show more outputs at once and has a full color screen.
I have question why this gauge can reed live data of my Toyota Lc100 2007 car but the other fancey gauges can’t reed it from the OBF can I make it work is there any way , please help ?
Can you show some other features like the transmission temp oil temp and boost? I’m thinking about getting this for my 2020 ford ranger overland rig as well and this seems pretty legit
Scangauge 2 is a pain to use the functions on. I’ve had one for many years now with zero issues but after just getting the 3 the 2 is completely insufficient. The only benefit to the 2 is the smaller footprint.
Yeah, it’s a great little investment and there tons of other options available right now. The best part about it is the calculated actual mpg due to the increased tire size and the speedometer correction.
It is if you own an obs ford 7.3L These things need constant monitoring and it can clear codes... Best thing you can get it done without an A pillar of gauges!

Dumb question, except for scanning for codes isn’t all that info already avail on either gauge cluster or the data screen controlled by the vertical row of black buttons to the right of the cluster? My 2012 limited 4wd has the data info screen standard I have to imagine a platinum trim model does to. What am I missing? Thanks again for all the great videos!
Our biggest benefits from the scangauge is the following: real time numerical data of the gauges, speed correction from the 37’s, and calculated mpg. For me, it’s worth keeping for for some it may not be worth it.

I can’t really show boost sadly but there’s a ton of other videos that go into detail on more features.

Had an SGII since 2015. How is it insufficient to III? Does the 3 use an Ethernet connection as well?
