Hi Chris, nice to see you back with a video my friend. And as always, some fascinating records shown. I'd like to get some more Ligeti in my collection - only have one side of his music on one of the Deutsche Grammophon Avant-Garde albums. I'm obviously a big Goblin fan - Roller is one I need to add on vinyl - only have it on CD currently. Jon Hassell is a name I've known for so many years but I've yet to investigate his music - need to rectify that. Ditto Oregon. Being a percussion fan The New Percussion Group of Amsterdam sound right up my street.
Thanks, and all the very best... Pete

Hey there brother..I have been meaning to comment on one of your last few videos..really hope you are feeling better I think so..😃.
Ya I remember before saying you liked ligeti it is odd even here I rarely see his lp's around I have several of that avant garde series but not that one.
Oh I would have guessed you loved goblin..😃..I only have that and suspira funny enough both Canadian pressings..lol..I bet in time that will find it's way to you.
Oh I think you would love hassell.
And Oregon records are all pretty easy and cheap enough to find.
That new percussion lp is a good one..I have tons of percussion lp's I love that stuff I guess you do to..😃.
Always good to hear from you brother..much love chris

Hi Chris. Always the best seeing you back. I can remember the feds raiding a few of the Boston and the weekend shows in Philly confiscating bootlegs. It got to the point where the sellers were keeping their bootlegs under wraps. They brought them. But they did not display them. You had to ask. Like yourself I knew some of the out of town and local sellers. So they would tell me what they had in their vans. >< The only Lloyd albums I have are Forest Flower and Journey Within. I am sure that you remember when Blake grabbed a box of sealed Forest Flowers about eight or nine years ago? He sold them to VC members for $6. The Oregon album sounds great. I have Out of the Woods. Great band. I did not know that they were one of the fusion trendsetters. I still listen to fusion. But more free and classic jazz lately. I don't remember Sherv showing New Percussion Group of Amsterdam. I will check it out. You look well. You never age. >< Another fine update. Can't wait for the next~

Hey rob thanks for commenting as usual brother..not surprised you had similar stories from.the era..
I once found a huge stack of zeppelin bootlegs in the late 80's trade them for comic books to my friend who owned a shop they were his favorite band..of course would have passed them on to you now..😃..that is an excellent oregon lp but they were consistent..I meant not so much in jazz fusion but world fusion music..😉..I do remember blake finding those..I only really like a handful of his lp's..geeta if you don't have that one is right in your wheelhouse and an all time fave of mine..much love chris

What's up Chris. Just caught up to all your recent videos. Highlight of the week to see these all come through. Funny we both scored Power Spot recently though yikes I'm still getting around to giving it a full spin. No Goblin LPs in my world, that's a problem there but I never see anything even close to an original pressing. That Radif LP looks quite interesting, nice take on that one. And I've really been digging the 2 Charles Lloyd LPs on Kapp, right near Big Sur Tapestry. Really interesting blend of jazz fusion, rock and a splash of psych. Great finds my friend

Hey brother good to hear from you and glad you enjoyed all my activity as of late..we both know it may not last..lol.
Ya that was one of the few hassell lp's I was missing..well I think you will enjoy it once it hits the platter..😃..I never see goblin lp's either at least not in field..just a lucky oddball find and the price was fair enough.
Radif is wonderful and you probably would enjoy it's vibe.
My favorite Lloyds are big sur and pathless path along with geeta and waves..geeta in particular is 🔥.
      Glad you enjoyed these brother.

Great to see a video from you again! I’ve been almost exclusively listening to noise and other experimental things last six months or so, but as soon as I watched this I felt inspired again for more ethnic stuff so now I’ve been spinning some various egyptian/iranian/arabic things the last couple days. I have the Radif record and the Oregon. Listened to the Night Ark albums too, good accessibility for the family on those :) Will jump to your next video now, take care, Johan

Hey brother always nice to hear from you..glad your doing well!..I have not been to social media active these past months..lol.
Sometimes you get into one of those states where you just listen to particular sounds and vibrations.
I know you like the ethno stuff so it was probably refreshing to pause and play some..😃.
Not surprised you have those in fact I think you did show the radif at one point..
I love those night ark lp's really beautiful and family friendly without being to safe or boring..just good music..😃...glad you enjoyed brother and always great to hear from you.

Chris, I seem to be listening to this latest batch of videos out of order. That Foss/Hiller/Schwartz line-up reminds of a CRI type release. Not familiar with Night Ark, so I will check into it. I need to find that Davidovsky record. Thanks, Chris

awesome to see this pop up.. the first record show l attended was around 1987 and was mostly bootlegs and probably why the second show wasn't until 2010...
l recently found a percussion record from north And south lndia, mind boggling sounds... l have one record with Ligeti but can't locate it right now, l used to have several Scofield but am now down to just a live lp on inner city. yeah those Chemirani on harmonia mundi are quality.... l don't have any Foss yet, see a lot of his records but for some reason l keep passing up. damn man, you down play these finds yet all interesting sh!t. it took a while for me to embrace the ethno albums that have dance in the title... it used to throw me off but now l've wised up, haa! the amsterdam percussion is a perfect example of a little obscure but still cheap. did you say what's playing in the back? alright Chris, this video made my day, since you already have two more in the can just put em out there :) they're a form of meditation for some of us.... om....

that scofield is great i was actually a bit surprised...lol.
ya dance or dance in the title can be deceiving but glad you wised up..😉.
was happy to find the ansterdam lp as i had it in my wl for years..but figured in time it would pop up in the wild and sure enough it did.
i guess in terms of downplay i am just still coming down from the massive finds of a few shows ago.
but i always find stuff of interest and glad you find the same with the videos brother.

Hi brother, great to see you, and to hear you talking about interesting records. Awesome finds, there was lot that i would grab if seen, Radif, Karnatic, Ligeti, Goblin and Japanese one to name a few:) For some reason i have never seen anything by Goblin, just Simonettis lives 2017 of Suspiria and Profondo and Cherry five. I sampled quickly NightArk and it really should be more famous. Just recently saw one Scofield Trio lp from early 80s but it sounded more like proto-stonerrock. Cheers and love, petri.

Lol..pretty sure you would indeed like almost all these lp's on some level..I rarely see goblin stuff in field myself so that was a nice find.
Both night ark lp's are lovely and really nice..probably because there from the later 80's they were overlooked perhaps...lol I know the scofield you are referring to..this one is definitely not that!..😂.

Happy to see you brother. Hope to make it to the next show. 🙂Very interesting about the early ones. Really liked the BGM as per usual. That's one of a couple Ligeti's I have. Gary and I were talking not long ago about early Scofield, and he was recommending some. Curious to hear Radif, as I really like santoor stuff. Also that Ali Akbar. Another artist I only have a few by. Great Hassell, and that's still my favorite Charles Lloyd, no surprise. I have the Night Ark too, which is really enjoyable. Looking forward to the next installment. Peace n love. -Carm

Hey brother too be honest you did not miss a whole lot..😂..
Ya those early ones were a trip..
Almost all bootleg stuff was hard to sell legitimate records at that time believe it or not..lol.
Ya I like ligeti but for some reason never see his lp's around much.
Not everyday stuff but hits a powerful chord when in the mood.
This particular scofield is the only lp of his I have heard that I really liked.
      Was a nice cheap find.
Radif is great as you would expect.
And if you like santoor definitely for you..not surprised on the night ark as you would be one of the few people who would know them..
Nice music and of course hassell 💖..much love chris

Always nice to find something good for a low price..not to hard for me considering what I am interested in.
I have a handful of candide lp's including the stockhausen as well.
