Man I'm so thankful you reposted this video, I remember watching it a long time ago, then coming back and not finding it anymore, I'm so glad it's back so I can enjoy it one more time
Valentino Rossi has been one of my childhood heroes. The first time I was on a motorbike when my dad brought me on a Yamaha when I was around 9 months old. The first time I saw him on TV was when he raced against Max Biaggi in the early 90s. Since then I have dreamed of owning a motorbike, worked so hard then I achieved that dream many years later, and still have it as my daily workhorse. Thank you VR46 for showing us your competitiveness, it always boils my blood to work harder despite the circumstances and hardships
I have seen generations of MotoGP riders from Doohan to Bagnaia. Until now, Valentino Rossi still the best. The GOAT, the legend, the master, the DOCTOR!!
Truly the greatest of all time. I was fortunate enough to be at the Assen GP in 2009 to watch him win his 100th race live. He broke my heart in the 2015 Sepang race when he clearly slowed down to bump Marquez out which cost him another world title. Still, in my mind, no one will ever surpass him. Great video documentary!
My favourite thing about Valentino is his infectious enthusiasm and super friendly nature. His smile makes me smile, and his presence has been epic. Just an all round nice guy, who also happens to ride a bit too.
Thanks for creating this tribute to one of the greatest athletes of all time. MotoGp just isnt the same anymore. I am so fortunate that I grew up in a time to witness his full career as I just dont feel like there will ever be another with his charisma, spirit, and capabilities. What a LEGEND! VR46 🔥
This channel has been putting out some high quality vids. Probably the most entertaining motorcycle related channel on the tube. Can you do some other vids like this with other GOATS of the motorcycle world? *edit* since people can’t seem to understand moto go isn’t the only Motorsport in the world…. Other goats means the best in their respective Motorsport. Example: R.C. In motocross, Thomas Chareyre in S1gp and many more who are still regarded as the best to ever do it in the racing disciplines they chose. Rossi is a legend of Moto go but isn’t the goat in Mx, Sx, supermoto etc….
@@banmadabon depends what racing discipline you are talking about. If you mean MOTO GP only? Yes I agree. There are definitely other GOAT's in their respective motorsports.
@@dustedstar5158 Exactly, actually Stoner did more to change the way these bikes are ridden, and won a world championship on a bike Rossi just couldn't ride...
The Doctor . He has everything, the total package. Charisma, humour and massive talent to back it all up. The greatest . I’ve been blessed to see him race and he’s not done get. 👏👏👏
Amazing work Also worthy of note: He won a race at 38 and finished his last race in to his 40's in 10th and ahead of team mate. Some of his modern rivals had faster days like Stoner, Marquez but they have not been able to maintain the longevity of 2 decades at the top. Clearly the Ducati was the only shadow but respect where its due for trying. Also rumour of special tyres in his earlier years.
I watched him win at our Phillip Island GP in Oz and then next day it was reported that after all the racing and media was done, he went straight to one of our local pubs and had beers and played pool with fans. Legend doesn’t come close to describing how special he was & is…..
Thanks for this. I got into GP motorcycle racing in the era of Biaggi and watched Rossi's rise with wide eyes and a slack jaw from his first race on a 500. Your recap of his career - and your clear understanding of his charisma, and your clear description of the way we were all on the edges of our seats watching and wondering what the _fuck_ he was going to do next - really touched on all my favourite memories of that time in the sport. Except the way he used to run Biaggi down and force errors out of him in his first 500cc races. Those performances were the foreshadowing for how creatively Rossi would use his immense talent tell a dramatic, exciting story in every race. What a showman. What a rider. What a psychologist. The Doctor, indeed.
Yes!, after Vale retired, and MotoGP started letting Marquez get away with all types of shitty behavior... I stopped watching. An era was over, and I was no longer interested.
Usually when such a talent gets into racing, he just disappears like verstappen, but Rossi, he plays with the others, he makes it a biy interesting. I am proud of being Italian because of him
Thank God, because I was ~born in his time and ~watched him from 1995 until he retired, I saw almost all his races even when I was called into mitar service. He's one of those athletes who is complete. He is Valentino Rossi, he will always remain in the history of the world, and I am glad I lived those moments😂😅😊😊🎉
I think a lot of people who just watch motogp without knowing don’t understand how unique he was. He was taller than everyone, heavier, and that allowed him to run deeeeeeep into the corners and do things most people don’t understand. Also, his work ethic and era of riding were so crazy. Unlike now, those bikes were better than the riders could ever take them too. Just Schumacher the F1 cars of that era, talent could win races not pole position. Back to GP, there was only one rider who was “better than” Rossi. And we all know that was Stoner. Had Stoner been able to do the grip and grin bs better that would of been what senna and Schumacher would have evolved into. Stoner was so fast and capable of doing things on a bike that were ludicrous. Rossi even said that when Stoner wasn’t hurt and on point, no one could beat. Stoner and Rossi are my two favorite riders of all time. Senna is and will forever be my favorite F1 driver. Go watch the documentary Senna, you’ll cry. I did and I’m man enough to say it. Senna was a gift to this world not just a F1 driver. Schumacher is the goat but like all Austrian-German drivers they are cold and calculating, exacting. Senna was loose and beautiful.
I'm just ... Just watching this.... I dropped a few tear at the end... But those tears was happy tears which means I have the feeling and I never forget the feeling... I'm a '85 guy... The feeling... Since 2002... I was following Rossi and I knew everything about him. I got the feeling of each and every race when we get in front of the TV with my dad and guessing: "what's the doctor suprise for today will be?" // Yeah it was a family program as well Just like this video showed... it was a great overview. Awesome to watch! Nicely done! I get the momentum again at a lot of parts.... but I really saw (most of) those live and that make a big difference for me! It is history now but I really hope that after a few years these records going to be fun and valueble for the future generations.
In my country you can find the #46 on bikes even in the remote parts of the country and some of them even dont know what MotoGP is😂😂 Bigger than the sport itself. #LEGEND
Sad that Americans never knew what greatness was and how VR46 & Schumacher changed the sport and had the whole world watching them!! That is greatness and no one can ever match it, even now with the internet and media it is still unmatched. They were heroes and still are to real sports fans..
This Man made me fell inlove in motorsport. I remember I used to write 46 everywhere and now if you ask me to tell you a random number I would say 46. I remember when I was 5 or 6 years old watching MotoGP on the TV and it was so magical, because of Rossi. Now when I'm grown up and more mature I understand why he makes everything so special
It was a nice bike especially when you compare it to the eyesores lining up on the grid today. Scrap all the aero and electronic rider aid’s and leave riding the bike to the reflexes and skills of the rider.
ngl, this is very well done video, i myself used to watch a lot of MotoGP as a kid and even play a lot of MotoGP videogames alongside other racing games and to me, Valentino Rossi is simply like Michael Schumacher, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky, a synonym to a certain sport. And now i'm glad that he's going to be taking part in this years Le Mans 24 hour race, the man's got a sheer enthusiasm for both 2 wheel and 4 wheel racers. Keep up the good work, Goon.
Rossi. I usually loose interest on any motorsport when it's alwayscthecsame winner and everybody behind kinda stagnates. But man.. Watching Rossi to race was something else. Grazie mille, doctore! Besides the fact that his greatness was the same (or even higher) outside the track. He "created" many riders that even challenged him and raced alongside. His happiness and glare in his eyes (even whike in.. Ahem.. Ducati) were something I have never seen in a MotoGP rider. He will always be the Great One (unless Oliveira starts to make magic tricks.. Which I do wish he to start doing).
I love your analogy of Jordan and Lebron. Lebron might look good on paper, but he never commanded the floor like Jordan. Jordan was more clutch and a bigger threat than Lebron will ever be. As a kid, and a Bulls hater, you knew when Jordan had the ball, it was bad news for the opposing team. Vale is such a character. Embassador of MotoGP, even when he's out racing a BMW in Fanatec. Great video Goon. Keep up the awesome content. I really hope you mix it up and throw in some automotive history too. I just like the way you story tell. Little fact, I don't even ride, but I love bikes too. I love automotive and motorcycle history. It's so interesting how companies and riders battle it out with pride. The characters bumping heads. You don't see that now besides the soap opera of F1, which is kind of cringe if you ask me.
yes but if he was young like when he went to yamaha he would have won like he did when yamaha was a bottom team and really bad bike but he managed to won anyway, so i think age at some point matter...but you're right if he had a good bike he could have fight for champioship even when he was old
The right time and the idea of speaking and creating stories are very much needed. Making your story hurt and demeaning other people in an elegant way is a skill that no one else has. He is able to create enemies and is able to destroy his enemies, making victims, without making people realize it.
It's one thing to come back & ride with a broken leg BUT HE HAD A COMPOUND BREAK🫣.THATS BRUTAL.. And you can see the break through the shape of his leg as he flies through the air

He's only in his second season racing cars and his first season racing with BMWs and he already has two wins to his name. This guy can win in literally anything that has wheels.
I am so grateful to have witnessed his career since 1996...
He's the reason I own so many bikes. Rewatch the classics constantly and still makes me feel like a teenager looking forward to the bike I'd own.
Me too. 46 the GOAT ✌️
@@jeriksson7686 to me not a shadow of a doubt... But I am Rossi fan, so my opionion on this is never objective, but will forever be subjective... :)
I have 5 idols and he is on top of the list, even above the Great One Wayne Gretzky, who is my hockey god and a close second. :)
Now that's more like it!
Rossi The Legend!
As an Italian I am proud to say it. ❤
Forza Rossi!
Forza Italia!
🇮🇹
@amanparmar-jh7pz beauty and competency unfortunately doesn't always match. Not sure why you had to introduce politics...
@amanparmar-jh7pz beauty Is subjective... 🤷🏻♂️😉👋🏻
@amanparmar-jh7pz ok lol thank you. You are lucky you are not.
As a citizen of Earth I too am proud to say Rossi is the GOAT of the Galaxy!!!❤
Dude, this was freaking awesome... I came into motorcycles late but I've always know of Vale...
In my opinion when you makes such a name for yourself that people completely separate from the sport knows about you, you're the GOAT...
Thanks for making this video 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Even in a remote corner village of most countries, people know about Rossi and Schumacher, two legends.
Dooooooddeee!!! I've been searching the Internet for this video for weeks, I actually thought I had dreamt it up 😂😂
Thank you for uploading it again, this is my third time watching it and I standby my previous comment, it's one of the best videos on the Internet!
Gppd to hear hopefully you like the new version I think its better
I thought I'm the only one searching this. 😂.
The sport, THE YAMAHA brand, his country on his back ... IV YELLED N SCREAMED EVERY RACE I CAUGHT ,TAPED YES TAPED (VHS) the races I would miss ... THANK YOU SPEED CHANNEL FOR BEING THE BEST CABLE CHANNEL ON THE PLANET AT THAT TIME. .
awesome video.. it was a great pleasure watching him race since 97.. the greatest motorcycle influence in my teen years..
A fan of Vale since 1999 . Thx Champ for the good memories 🙏
That was AWESOME!!! Thank you for putting that together. Rossi is a legend and truly one of a kind
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@BornAGoon That’s an understatement. Really great stuff. I don’t think there’s anyone else producing content like this and I hope you keep at it.
best video i have ever seen i have had this account for years and never liked a vid but this on is the best one on yt
thank you for the kind words I appreciate that
Valentino Rossi is a legacy. A brand. An inspiration to millions.
His name as his achivements have become so much bigger than the man himself.
What a.racer. What a champion!
What an amazing human being.
GOAT of MotoGP, VR46, Valentino Rossi.
Man I'm so thankful you reposted this video, I remember watching it a long time ago, then coming back and not finding it anymore, I'm so glad it's back so I can enjoy it one more time
Spectacular documentary. This is one of my favorite UA-cam videos ever.
Rossi is the GOAT !
17th Jan '24
I'm a hot rod car dragrace guy but I stumbled across this channel and instantly subscribed. Great content man.
Thank you I appreciate that
My favourite thing about Valentino is his infectious enthusiasm and super friendly nature.
His smile makes me smile, and his presence has been epic.
Just an all round nice guy, who also happens to ride a bit too.
I haven't watched a full motogp race since 46 retired ❤❤❤ long live the doctor.
VR46 🔥
Valentino number one forever ❤👍
I would love to Its hard to get approved racing content that's what sucks but maybe another format can work
Thats unfortunate. I still appreciate what you are able to upload for us. @@BornAGoon
There are no "other GOATS "...Only one: VR46 the GOAT
@@banmadabon depends what racing discipline you are talking about. If you mean MOTO GP only? Yes I agree. There are definitely other GOAT's in their respective motorsports.
Rossi should have found a wife named Valentina. That would been awesome
This might be one of the best videos I've ever had the pleasure of watching on UA-cam. Thank you for this
Glad you enjoyed it!
Truly epic brother. Thank you for your time and effort. 💙
My pleasure!
Your videos get better by the day. Keep it up and I'll keep watching!
How has this video only 800 likes? This is some high-quality, well researched and entertainingly visualized content
becuase Rossi did not single handedly change the sport...
Man, I love these videos. So entertaining and well researched. It’s a pleasure to watch it. Please keep doing this!
Thank you for the kind words
The best documentary EVER!!! I’m sharing it on my facebook!
Amazing work
Also worthy of note: He won a race at 38 and finished his last race in to his 40's in 10th and ahead of team mate.
Some of his modern rivals had faster days like Stoner, Marquez but they have not been able to maintain the longevity of 2 decades at the top.
Clearly the Ducati was the only shadow but respect where its due for trying. Also rumour of special tyres in his earlier years.
thank you
This channel is the best thing I’ve ever discovered. Incredible video.
I’m so glad you re-uploaded this, it was a shame it was taken down (DORNA, get it together). Terrific content! Keep it up!
Thanks for watching it
Great Video, Valentino is an Absolute Legend, by far one of the best entertainers/riders out their!
This guy was incredible and still doing things! Cheers Vale!
This video is just purely gold, watched it twice and will definitely watch it more than 5 times! Thanks Born A Goon!
I watched him win at our Phillip Island GP in Oz and then next day it was reported that after all the racing and media was done, he went straight to one of our local pubs and had beers and played pool with fans. Legend doesn’t come close to describing how special he was & is…..
This was a detail elaboration of prime Rossi. What an illustrious MotoGP career he had. Great video. 👍🏼👏🏼
Many thanks!
😢❤@@1😢46
YES. Excellent analysis, spot on; Valentino was the GOAT. Thanks for this great video.
Usually when such a talent gets into racing, he just disappears like verstappen, but Rossi, he plays with the others, he makes it a biy interesting.
I am proud of being Italian because of him
Thanks for sharing, great watch. Enjoyed watching the Doctor over the years. With my favourite era being between him and lorenzo.
Glad you enjoyed it
Rossi being so consistent for so many years is legendary.
Great video!! I feel blessed to have been alive and watching MotoGP while Rossi was racing! Absolutely awesome!
Vale has talent, charm, intelligence and a razor sharp whit. A true hero. You made motorcycle racing a true challenger to F1, Vale. Bravo maestro!
This video had the best ending ive ever seen! Great job on putting it all together!
I'm not really interested in motorracing but I knew a very little bit about Valentino Rossi. Now I know much more! Good documentary!
I got the feeling of each and every race when we get in front of the TV with my dad and guessing: "what's the doctor suprise for today will be?"
// Yeah it was a family program as well
Just like this video showed... it was a great overview.
#LEGEND
that is awesome
Thank you, same thing about these young generation not understanding what a goat is. The real goat is who makes you passionate as much as him.
Sad that Americans never knew what greatness was and how VR46 & Schumacher changed the sport and had the whole world watching them!! That is greatness and no one can ever match it, even now with the internet and media it is still unmatched. They were heroes and still are to real sports fans..
Very well done, a lot of work went into this and I really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This Man made me fell inlove in motorsport. I remember I used to write 46 everywhere and now if you ask me to tell you a random number I would say 46.
I remember when I was 5 or 6 years old watching MotoGP on the TV and it was so magical, because of Rossi. Now when I'm grown up and more mature I understand why he makes everything so special
special he is
same for me
You are one of the only creators that i really like watching, it is so entertaining and it has a lot of information in it to. Very good content!❤
I love Yamaha, but Stoner's Ducati was and is my favorite Motogp bike of all time. Such a pretty bike.
Good choice
It was a nice bike especially when you compare it to the eyesores lining up on the grid today. Scrap all the aero and electronic rider aid’s and leave riding the bike to the reflexes and skills of the rider.
@@rmzxr4395 I agree, aero and electronics haven't served Motogp well. The racing is less exciting than it used to be
ngl, this is very well done video, i myself used to watch a lot of MotoGP as a kid and even play a lot of MotoGP videogames alongside other racing games and to me, Valentino Rossi is simply like Michael Schumacher, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky, a synonym to a certain sport.
Thanks for watching the video I appreciate it
The frame on that ducati was fucked.
(Cough) Verstappen this F1 season (cough (cough)
You don't see that now besides the soap opera of F1, which is kind of cringe if you ask me.
very true about Jordan
This channel is really knocking it out if the park with these …….👍🏾
thank you
Yamahas current situation tells me that Rossis age wasn’t the problem it was Yamaha.
yes but if he was young like when he went to yamaha he would have won like he did when yamaha was a bottom team and really bad bike but he managed to won anyway, so i think age at some point matter...but you're right if he had a good bike he could have fight for champioship even when he was old
Amazingly narrated story of the legend " The doctor".. Thank you..
Even people who have never seen a motorcycle race in their lives know who Valentino Rossi is.
The right time and the idea of speaking and creating stories are very much needed. Making your story hurt and demeaning other people in an elegant way is a skill that no one else has. He is able to create enemies and is able to destroy his enemies, making victims, without making people realize it.
Miss watching him ride. Such an epic athelete and I agree with the statements in the short film. Brought back some great memories! Thank you
Absolute legend! Also, the narration on this video was wonderful so thank you! Much love 🍀
It's one thing to come back & ride with a broken leg BUT HE HAD A COMPOUND BREAK🫣.THATS BRUTAL..
And you can see the break through the shape of his leg as he flies through the air
I know what a beast
great video , ive been following rossi his entire career so this was essentially a little time machine. reminiscing on the simoncelli era was beautiful. Thanks
Good stuff!
I don't believe Americans can ever understand Valentino Rossi. The evidence is just too strong.
Hmmmm... maybe! As an American who loves Valentino Rossi, the only time I don't "understand" him is when he speaks Italian. But your opinion of the ignorant Americans shows your ignorance, ironically.
Yep us stupid Americans….
His longevity was unreal. You mentioned the various rivalries he had from Biaggi to Marquez and he stuck around at the highest level through those generation of riders.
2004 is the season that proves he is the GOAT!
for sure
Killer video. Miss watching the legend, The Doctor!
Forza Vale! The GOAT of MotoGP.
Thank you for reuploading this! Ive missed it!
I wonder what happens when you have this much skill, if there is any bike that excites him or challenges him?
Probably
Maybe turbo charged h2r with supercharger
Maybe not a bike, but he said he was afraid of the Isle of Man TT
