Travis Pastrana is a bonafide action sports legend, a Freestyle MX pioneer, a fearless stuntman
a godlike motorsports icon and one radical dude.
For more than 3 decades, Travis Pastrana's body of work has been a huge catalog of chaos filled with unexplainable feats of human achievement, death-defying spectacles, superhuman levels of pain tolerance, and more holy sh#t moments than any athlete in history.
But above all, Travis Pastrana is a miracle, and sometimes it is hard to believe someone like this even exists. So, in this video, we will look at the outrageous and often unexplainable career of Travis Pastrana.

There will be a time when we will be discussing the unbelievable quality of the Born-a-Goon videos, just like those videos present the incredible acchievements of other people. You´re a star. What a touching homage to Travis Pastrana. What a great video. Thanks.
Your words are too kind Thank you
I wouldn't want anyone else to provide tribute to these amazing people many of us grew up with. Mr. Goon may take awhile for new content but that's because we know it will always be a phenominal video that's worth the wait. Thanks Goon!!
I grew up in Annapolis, lived by him and something every one in Maryland always respected is he’s stayed in Maryland living in Davidsonville allowing local kids ride at his place. Dude is a badass yet a man loyal to his home and family.
that is awesome
He is my childhood inspiration. I started riding at 6 years old because of him. Travis Pastrana is just so likable. You can't help but like the guy.
Same here
He is a legend
Dude the most inspiring guy to watch racing and all that growing up! Always get up!!:)
Jake Wiemer?
Same 😂
We lost a promising motocrosser but gained the best ever action sports rider. Excellent video!
These documentaries are what you were meant to do. Keep it up these rock!
Glad you like them!
@@BornAGoon for real dude, we absolutely love these
[comment for the algorithm for this comment]
seriously i was rewatching the goat one the other day and thought… i hope this dude drops another one of these soon.
double thumbs up.
I’ve gotten to meet Travis a few times in the past couple years (he and Ken Block built a Rallycross track at my local track here in Utah) and I’m always struck by how happy he is, how much time he’s willing to give to fans for pictures and autographs, and how friendly he is with everyone. Seriously, Travis is friends with everyone! He’s a joy to be around and a joy to watch no matter what he’s doing. Awesome job on this video
I know him pretty well. My best friends dad grew up and went to school with tj lavin and Carey hart, and Travis came in the picture when I was a kid. I remember when the did the first nitro circus show in Vegas, travis himself picked us up in a limo and we were on the ground watching it. Not to mention the vans fully loaded with gear and bikes that he let us use. He’s such a good guy it’s insane
@@anthonydavenport1841 Thats incredible! I've always wished I could somehow end up getting to meet him someday. Hés a great guy with a big heart!
He let you, your friends and family use the bikes he had in Vegas... that wicked rad!
He is Evel Knievel of our generation. Goosebumps every time I hear his name. He reminds me of the Simpsons episode of Evel Knievel. I bet he saw that episode a million times.
Evil Knievel didn't have a racing career if anything he's much better. He's able to do stunts and win races
Thanks for watching
@@GARBO96 My comment wasn't about who is better. Both are legends in my books.
Both are legends but Travis makes Evil look like a hack and is tame if you were to compare. I can’t think of someone that’s remotely close to Travis’ level, plus he gives so much opportunity to others in the sport around him. Freestyle motocross would not be were it is today without him…
@@SosopChabotLOL!!! be careful you might choke on that 🍆🍆🍆
That intro was FIRE.
thank you I appreciate that
After this one and the one about Ricky you are now obligated to make more of these, Thank you.
would love to keep making these They take a lot of work though Over a month on this one lol
Man I remember those days when the magazines and forums were all a buzz about what Pastrana was going to get up to. It was an awesome time in the action sports realm to see all this stuff coming about. I know we are about motorsports, but skateboarding, snowboarding, and BMX were bonkers too. To me Pastrana was in the right place to keeping this crazy feedback loop going. Great times indeed!
The best of times
LETS GOOO!
These autobiographies are amazing.
thank you I appreciate that
Born A Goon, please, don’t ever stop doing video documentaries like these. Been following your channel and I can say these are top quality and much better than other productions out there. Huge fan here. Keep up the good work!
That guy is for sure awesome ! One of the things I like best about him is how he seems to be a humble kind guy, while being one of the most awesome people to ever get on a bike.
I can't wait to take this video in - Pastrana is one of the greatest stuntmen of all time. I'm going to save it for Saturday morning.
thank you I appreciate that
Thanx Goon ! - Another Killer One
thank you I appreciate that
Thank you for this fantastic video!!!! Love the Pastrana stories
Thank you for watching
@@BornAGoon I never miss a videos of yours!!!
Your video documentaries are so freaken good! Whenever I've got some free time and don't know what to do, I just come here and watch another Born A Goon video! The narration, script and editing are always on point!
If Evel Knievel was still with us, he would probably say this guy is the best Daredevil of all time. A true athlete, a humble dude, a genuine guy who always smiles. He is 1 of my favorite riders, and i rode red & green, lol.
thanks for watching
Thank you for this channel. Just awesome.
Its a great day when I can get home, get on youtube and see a new Born A Goon video
thank you for the kind words
@@BornAGoon and thank you for the amazing content! UA-cam NEEDS MORE CREATORS LIKE YOU!
When he did the double backflip I was like 18, I couldn’t believe what I had seen..one of the most exciting moments of my life watching that
what a moment that was
I meet Travis once before at a bike shop i was working at before steel city race and man he was the nicest most genuine dude i think I've ever met. Bless him and his family. Love that dude.
it has been a pleasure watching him grow all the way, this video brings back so many memories - superb doc fella well done
Thanks for watching
Hell of a video…brought back to life some cool moments in a great era!
I actually remember meeting 12-13 year old Travis at a friend's house where a bunch of us were free riding in Ohio.
I was blown away not only at his ability but the fact this little kid was riding a 125cc bike and absolutely killing it!
I literally remember saying, this kid has a bright future if he sticks with it...
Yepper, I was right!... Travis became a legend!
Great video Bro. Pastrana is a freaking BEAST!
I can’t believe I’m just now discovering your channel!! This is a very well put together documentary on one of the greatest riders to ever throw a leg over a bike.
I gotta give you credit for making a video that gave me goose bumps down my spine pretty much the whole way through. One hell of an intro. Well done sir.
Dame awsome! One of the best You Tube vids out there. Cheers
Glad you liked it!
i really love these videos but i want to use this comment to say your voice is really great. please keep producing content my man, i really appreciate your efforts and you have an insane knack for it. such a rad video!! also, pastrana is THE MAN!!

Saw him at Philly supercross a few months back. Just wanted to say thank you for all the unforgettable moments he gave me and my friends.
I was just looking for a "Travis Pastrana" documentary a few days back. Thanks man.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is such a great documentary 👏 👏👏 Travis is such an amazing athlete and is so very likable. This documentary should be a movie its that good. 👍👍👍 please keep making more content! It's excellent as always!!
Great Video, well presented in a fashion that got me excited !!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for another epic journey! 👍😎
Thanks for watching!
I remember sitting in my room and watching this live on ESPN. It was insane. The coverage about his mom, his sick af lumberjack kit. It was epic. After he did it, I got in trouble for yelling and running around the house. My mom thought I was crazy, but she just didn't understand the magnitude of what I just witnessed. Travis is a legend.
Working overnights this is a great video to keep me occupied. These videos are so good.
Glad you like them!
another amazing video
Thanks again!

Watching him go up the hill at Goodwood in that tricked out gymcana Subaru legacy was way special ✌️🇬🇧
He is the best
Fantastic video. 👍 Pastrana is a legend.
Thanks for watching
THANK YOU BORN A GOON. this video was perfect. some people believe in god, I believe in Travis Pastrana
Travis is the epitome of living legend.

One best documentaries I've watched in long-time bravo tp is the man
Got to meet Travis several years ago. Very down to earth
almost missed this one (because youtube shennenigans) ..what a great piece again you keep hitting them out of the ballpark ..realy love these athlete docs solid 5.5 out of 5 :)
Thanks again!
I was lucky enough to watch Travis coming up as an amateur Motorcrosser He would be running a 85. With basically no competition, so they put him in the 125 A class on a 85 and he could run and win races on any given Sunday. We all knew then he was going to be something special. Never could have imagined how far he has come. One thing, I always remembered. How nice. And polite he, his mother and his father were
I can't wait to get home from work and watch this one. BAG is truly worth taking the time away from my day to enjoy it thoroughly. Thanks in advance!
thank you
This man is a National Treasure and a hero to me!!! Thank you for inspiring us all
Great video!
The man is a living LEGEND. Literally, legendary.
On top of all that, the guy has so much charisma and charm, it’s superpowers level.
thank you
Born a goon always makes my day
thank you
1 of those once in many generation legends, glad to have got to get to see it in my life time
And I got to meet him and Street Bike Tommy at the Freedom Factory for the Freedom 500. Pictures and a few minutes conversation...made my day!
Thanks for watching
Amazing!
Thanks!
Incredible video
thank you
I met Travis once at Southwick when I was 3. At 5 I watched him land the double backflip live on TV. Crazy times to be a kid on a dirtbike.
TP is definitly the man when it comes to acrion motorsports. He is the modern day Evil Knievel. Great video!
Thanks for watching
Awesome job on this video. Travis is 100% legit, possible even God like!
That intro is getting me fired up!
Thank you
Love ya TP..thx for the memories and rad rides.
Always be king of action sports, my man!🇺🇸💥💯
Thanks for watching
Wow, your video's are just next level
Glad you like them!
THAT was the intro travis pastrana deserves.
I’m amazed everytime I look up Travis’s accolades.
Thanks for watching
Ok, dude, watching this now. Dude, I hope 199 lives is your doco because you mentioned it twice in the first 5 minutes. So now I'm off to watch 199lives. You made it sound more appealing than your own video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you
It was one of my favorite vids back in the day
Lets go. Missed ya bro
Appreciate it
I absolutely love your videos like this. Are you going to do a Ken Block one?
Hopefully one day
I got so lucky to be in the stadium when he did the double backflip, met him the next day and got his autograph. Got to watch him race and do many other freestyle events. Freaking legend man
Thanks for watching
Soooooo super sick
Wow great content keep it up.
Appreciate it!
Insane quality!
Thank you
That so sucked you couldn't show the double back flip I was so stoked at that point 😢❤ love Travis so cool
Amazing video
Great job man! 👏👏👏👏👊🤙
Thanks! 👍
My 2 wheeled GOAT. Grew up on Crusty, followed his freestyle career and everything since.
Thanks for watching
can you do a video about the ltz 400 sports quad please it would be really cool to see
Those aches and pains will increase as he gets older and will never go away ,
He is headed for a lifetime of constant pain .
No amount of money is worth that .
The greatest extreme sportsman to ever live... Probably who ever will live.
Honestly I can't believe he's still alive and doing it.
Just saw Travis in a rally 2 days ago. What a legend.
Thanks for watching
I haven't had a pain free day for the last 20 years or so and still ride everyday, I have always gained motivation to keep going from travis 😊❤
Keep it up
That no fear MX gear use to be so sick. TP is a legend and one hell of a nice dude. Grew up racing with him and got to train with him when I was on 50s and 60s before he went super big. Idk how the dude is still alive. Everyone calls Jett Lawrence an “alien” or “not human” but he isn’t even close to the same level as TP. Dude is just unreal with what he can do.
That monster truck backflip wasn't travis pastrana. That was cam mcqueen. The truck was just owned by travis. Monster trucks were the one thing travis couldn't seem to fully reach the top echelon of.
Your videos are legit!!!
Thank you for the kind words #legit
Almost every user name, profile name, personal jersey no matter the sport i have always rocked the 199 since a young kid. Forever TP199
Thanks for watching
@40:20 the crowed was literally so loud before the trick that the crowd couldn't get any louder after he landed!
Great video, but I don't know if the MXdN is the biggest race in the world. Many years the USA has a difficult time getting the top guys to go there after the SX and MX seasons are over.
yea that is true they dont take it seriously anymore
Incredible
Thank you for watching
What an intro!
Thank you
I remember when I seen his first backflip, this man is a true trailblazer!!!!!!!. I love Evel Knievel, However Travis‘s did more for the sport and wasn’t an asshole. I can imagine the pain he is in every day. I broke my fair share a bones, like only 10. I respect him so much. He’s a once in a a lifetime talent. Can anyone think of one person that did so much for any sport. Not even Micheal Jordon.
At the 1018 MX of Nations, Travis invited a group of us for burgers and beer at his Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 team pit with Ronnie Mac. Most personable and down to earth fellow you could ever meet and party with. Truly kind and genuine human being.
Yea I agree he is one of the best multi sport athletes ever
Thanks for watching
