Noooo, don’t tell me this series is over, I want to see more of it and how he progresses, please continue with this! This is an amazing series!!
He's gonna send you his IBAN so he can continue his progression :D
@@georgemisailides8297 Why couldn’t he continue his progression without me sending money to him? He already has all the equipment and the skipass is not that expensive, especially if you buy it for the whole season at once...
@@bianca-andreeakapros6791 It was more of a joke to be honest. Unsuccessful as it seems...Sorry!
@@georgemisailides8297 i know you meant it as a joke but I didn’t get the point of it though...it made no sense to me :D
I want more series
Probably the best beginner snowboarding videos I’ve seen yet.

Outstanding video series!!! You have it all dialed:
- a great idea: seeing someone learn from scratch
- knowledgeable, skilled and patient teacher/presenter
- excellent camera work
- top quality audio
- good pacing (for the viewer and the student)
Well done. I really enjoyed this series.
I’ve watched all the previous parts! Best snowboarding video for beginners! THANK YOU 🙏🏻 😁. Wish me luck I’m going SB tomorrow.
How did it go?
How did it go?
I hope she’s fine that no follow up here 😂
how did it go
?
RIP
Dude your videos were so helpful! Especially this series. I got back at it today after what... almost 15 years. It was as if it was yesterday. I was hearing your voice in my head "unweight, then change edge, and back down" hahaha first run i definitely felt the same tension in my feet as him, I've loosen up and it got away. These clips really helped boosting my confidence today. PROPS 🙌
BRAVO!!! This has to be THE best series on how to snowboard on all of UA-cam. Thanks to the SA team for putting this video together! I feel like I can get out there and learn this now. THANK YOU.
9:09 that guy in the back steezy
Really good coaching....and of course, the kid is really good for the beginner. Nice work both of you. p.s. and the cameraman :)
Went from getting on a snowboard for the first time ever to doing blues comfortably, with just 4 days on the slopes here in New England. Without these videos, I’d still be figuring how to strap my bindings on/off.
There’s so much work off camera - someone shooting the video giving us all the best angles so that we get the full picture, the super clear audio, and the video annotations that help make complex things sound simple! I watched all your videos in just a few days, then moved on to other channels and quickly realized how much more amazing you guys are.
Thank you!
How I learn to snowboard: Pressured by buddy to go. Went and dropped $700 on gear. Fell 800 times the first day and hated it. Realized I spent $700 and couldn’t give up that fast. Proceeded to go 50+ more times that year.
😂
I did exactly the same and I went further. I thought since I am spending all this money on a board I better buy an advanced level board so it would last me for years. A terrible mistake. That board was so hard and unforgivable that every time I was facing downhill I felt like I was skydiving. To this day I still don't know how a soft beginner board feels like.
P.S. First day on the slopes, it took me 6 hours to realize the colours on the map are not for people to meet each other in case they get lost but they show difficulty levels.

Wonderful combo - a student with a great attitude - willing to trust and take risks, a patient and positive coach, lovely blissful snow on a spectacular day topped off with being treated to an Australian accent (best all-around). Also kudos to the cinematographer and editor - skills.
Its an accent from New Zealand
Confidence from mileage. My mantra was always If you're not falling, you're not learning. I may have taken that a little too far, but hey! Lol
I have been skiing for 30 years, after watching this video, I got out and bought a snowboard and start learning this week. I hope I can learn as fast as you student. Thanks
That is awesome! Best of luck!!!
This series makes me feel a lot more comfortable going into my first snowboarding trip next month. Great tips and lessons for me to work on, thanks Nev!
shout out to the camera man though. second nature
Just booked my first lesson for this Saturday. Wish I had a solo trainer like you but I'm excited! 1.5 hr class but all your videos, I should be able to do diamond by the time I'm done 😉
I just came back from snowboarding in colorado for the first time, I’ve seen all of these lessons videos before going there and they helped me a lot, thank you!
Very impressive!
If you can learn snowboarding this fast it’s worth the lesson fee!
It depends on the person. Some learn fast, some slower.
Heel Jumps: You spend a LIFETIME jumping from the ball of your foot. Jumping from your heels with your toes up isn’t natural lol same for pushing from the BACK of the board after years of skateboarding. Can’t wait to try it this winter!
Here is a question I am very curious about.. Do you have any info of how Tim did by the end of winter or this year? Would be interesting to see his progress.
As a beginner and earlier skateboarder/inline, this series helped me start snowboarding in just 3 hours. It is incredibly helpful!
Sad that it's over, loving the beautiful and wide slopes you are in and both Nev and Tim! Props to the hidden camera person, haha.
I can definitely tell he's a skateboarder, he has a lot of natural board control. He's really good for a two-day-old snowboarder.
it's sooo funny seeing the same exact mistakes I did, great video series. nice evolution man
Really enjoyed the videos. Clearly Tim was a natural and an easy-learner.. and I can imagine how good the camera guy is since the video was so smooth.
Y'all make it look so easy.. can't wait to go try it myself.
I love it and I'm super jealous how fast he got it!! And how great of an instructor Nev is.. I've been doing it for 2 years & I still cannot do any transitions 😩😫 no one is teaching or coaching me, I'm just learning it on my own & just observing other snow-borders whenever I go ride & watching videos... I'm really going to do snowboarding lessons for real this time.
Try and do a one to one lesson. Otherwise you are bound to end up with someone who messes about or doesn't listen 😶.
Aaaaaand you tought him to sit in the middle of the run. Really a great Reputation for snowboarding. Now it doesnt matter if what run it is SIT ON THE F-ING SIDE. im a long time snowboarder too and i cant see whats so hard about doing one more turn and ending up on the side of the run. Yes skiers do it yes snowboarders do it. But why teach a bad habit to someone
Watched all your previous parts. Thanks for the instruction videos. This is the best guide ever. I had to learn snowboarding hard way by experimenting it myself, but this guide is really easy to follow and also detailed and good review for me as I am going to Colorado later.
Cheers Kev - really appreciated this series, I've been learning recently (no prior board sports experience) now can't wait to go back and try a few more of these things.
And yea, this series was great. Please consider doing another, maybe with a complete newb with no skating/surfing experience. Let’s see the difference in speed of learning.
I’d volunteer to be the next newb, if you can be in whitefish in January!
Lawl, I just realised I binge watched all seven episodes in a row 🤣 thnx for the lessons, they will be useful for me as a beginner.
EXCELLENT! Loved watching these live lessons…soooo helpful. Can’t wait to try snowboarding as a surfer/skater. Tim was a perfect student. Felt like I was there. Thanks a million mate!
We are really glad you're loving our content! :)
heel side jump is hard!
This guy 2nd day is like my 2nd year! great teacher, great student!
Certainly helps to be at blackcomb with semi empty runs. Looks amazing
I am now at Åre Sweden for snowboarding for the first time and everything Nev is pointing out hits the bullseye! Thank you for recording and sharing these series!
The people who taught me told me to pivot when I go toe to heel side and I was eating shit all day
I need this teacher in real life. Amazing videos dude!!
This series is extremely helpful. I made very visible progress by following this to the letter! This is from a real beginner who just started 2 days ago!
0:30 intro
0:50 run 1 toe-edge jump
2:22 explaining jump during traversing
3:20 heel-edge jump
3:54 run 2 1 heel-edge jump and then both
5:30 run 2 2 (ends 7:32)
10:14 outro
Dude this series was so good great instructor and a great guy to teach!
Awesome.
Can't wait for you guys to meet again and get the spins and jumps nicely explained
Only learn with your video, I could make few S path in my first day (even if I fall a lot aha) thanks for this série!
The most difficult thing was to fix my second boot without be down and stand up!
I'm astonished by the dude that rides without a helmet when he keeps falling at 09:30
you right but first time i went snowboarding i didnt even know i shouldve had one. made it out fine ofc but now i gotta helmet in the mail that ill def be wearing all the time after having some close calls lol
I live in bc and didnt realize this is Whistler until now 💀
Really liked this series a lot, thank you👍
Wow, he is amazing by the end of this series! Good job to the whole team!
I'm not sure why none of the videos on UA-cam talk about the most critical thing. Keeping a slight edge when riding. Last season I nearly killed myself after doing the falling leaf and turning drills to perfection. Then trying to go down the mountain on a flat base. Don't try to go down the mountain on a flat base like I did. You'll always catch an edge, and it hurts. Could you please do a video about this? Thanks!
Please do blue runs!!! He might die but it's a price i'm willing to pay for learning XD
I've done blues and blacks. Can confirm did not die.
was that his second day? impressive
Just finished watchind this series of vedoes. It helped me a lot with improving my snowboard skills. I started it last week all by myself and only from watching your videos and watching the surrounds, I can slide well, doing heel edges and toe edges. Thanks a lot! I can't stop watching your videos. IT's really got into my morning routine to watch them while having breakfast. This afternoon I'm gonna try to perform my first few jumps. Let's see how that goes!
Professor level lessons. Prof. Nev!
Fantastic series. Very relatable
Is it me or is the bit around 3 minutes in autotune?
love this Live Coaching video series. So many extra tips and techniques taught on the spot to significantly improve your riding. The beginner training videos are helpful but don't always address every little nuance in riding. Usually those extra tips are on separate video as bonus tips and tricks. But watching it in a live coaching session brings it all together nicely. This proves having the right coach/teacher is so important for a beginner.
I hope to see more of this live coaching series. Love your coaching style Nev and your Addiction team.
Thx for the videos big time! I made smooth S turn at my second day as well at cardrona.
I want to see how Tim rides this days!
Thank you man, i am from Turkey. I watched all series and I like all them so much and very helpful to understand math of snowboard. Tips are very useful. Please, continue to help people like that.
Awesome videos! I've learned to snowboard by myself just watching people on the slopes, but now I'm waiting for the mountains in Spain/Andorra to open up (COVID bummer) so I can try to teach my girlfriend and all this tips will help a lot with the progression (also will help a lot on my own skills too). Thank you so much Nev, Tim and camera guy :)
I said it in a previous vid and I will say it again. Tom definitely has ill fitting boots. Toes shouldn't be numb. Boots are pinching somewhere and cutting off circulation. Nothing worse than boots that don't fit correctly.
Great live coaching content, thanks so much. Warm regards from the Netherlands
Thank you for best snowboard teaching video! I am a beginner and started learn last year. I love snowboarding and wanna be Profi snowboarder. The best video I ever seen. Thank you so much!
Lol i good but not this good
I learned how tosnowboard in 1 day thanks this vids :)
Great to hear!
Thank you so much for these videos! Incredible instructor and great student!
Awesome. I haven’t hit the slopes in about 10 years, these videos even had me feeling confident getting out there!
This guy is so damn good at teaching! I wish I had someone like this in my area :(
Can you do one more totorial for the 360 please
Wow loved these lessons, gonna try now. Thks
The camera work on these videos is excellent
Please do this another again make a pt 7
great session
Thanks, looking forward to the upcoming winter
need more of this man
Trying my best to put out lots of content
Can you do a vid on when to pop vs when to Ollie ?
Please make more episods
When is CARVING coming?
After he's perfected the basics.
I saw one guy commenting in video 5, that he's ready for park features. 🙈. Then I watched video 6 and it showed that he wasn't ready yet.
All in good time 👍
Nice videos
Awesome videos!!!!!
Me is first
Excellent!
100% Love this! 50 years old and heading out for first snowboarding 🏂 vacation next month. This will all definitely help. Thank you! 💪🇺🇸🏂
