I made a corner to corner afghan in two days and im 11 so i think that it is one of the best blankets ever to make. I love u so much TheCrochetCrowd+Yarspirations, thankyou for all your help!
Iam left handed and followed your tutorial and worked just fine. I do crochet a little tight but all is good.Thank you for your tutorial and I plan on making a new blanket. I like to learn new designs. Your step by step was useful for me and I plan to put it to good use. Thank You again.
Mikey, you rock! I have been crotcheting for years but was self taught, so I didn't know how to read patterns. since finding you-tube I so proud of the progress I've made. I love your tutorials! Keep up the great work and maybe one day I'll get to meet you in person on one of the cruises!
Thank you for your tutorial and I plan on making a new blanket. I like to learn new designs. Your step by step was useful for me and I plan to put it to good use. Thank You again.🤏💞💓
This is my first video of yours that I've watched, and I loooove it! You are an excellent teacher. Makes me want to try learning to crochet again-- and actually be successful at it!
I started making this throw blanket this evening and I'm 9 1/2 rows in to it so far. I'm using a gray year with flecks of black, cream, and beige. It's very hard on the eyes for some reason...and the pattern isn't turning out as pretty as I'd hoped. I'm commenting to suggest that had I had it to do over I'd do it in a solid color only. I feel that would showcase the beautiful pattern and wouldn't be so hard on the eyes when following along especially is you lose count. I'd much rather look at the last stitch instead of trying to go back and count, and the multi-flecks in the yarn makes it hard to do. Just my thoughts so far. I read the pattern for the border and it looks a little confusing, but I see others offered helpful suggestions in the comments. I'll read those if I need to when I get there. It's quite a lovely pattern for sure.
This is so cute and u make it look easy. U are beryl talented.. GOOD LUCK ON UR CONTINUING SUCCESS... THIS IS my 1st video I've seen of urs & I am proud to say I'm a new subbie.... please keep these easy beautiful videos coming... I love the blanket💯💯💯😎😎😎😎👏👏👏👏👌👌👀👀👀.. I am doing this project right now in Maroon & . black for you daughter.. U made it so easy to follow ty so much..
Mary McCracken - Mary, did you ever find out how to do the border? I'm a beginner, and I've finished the main part, but I need to know how to do the border. Please let me know if you know how to do the border. Thanks! Anne
Hi Mary and Anne.. would like to know if any one has figured out or has done a small video on the edging as I hav difficulties to read the pattern.. ThanQ Simonne
Hello Crochet Crowd I love the virus pattern and CaronCakes yarn so I'm making a blanket. The larger it grows the more I love it...so maybe I'll complete soon...72 ins.
I love this blanket, but I NEED the instructions for the border. My blanket is not wide enough without the border. can you or someone else please respond to me (and the others who have asked for the instructions)? I am a beginner, so I can't just figure it out by myself. thank you so much!
Anne Barefoot Anne, go to Yarnspirations.com & use the site's search engine at the top of the page. Type in " quick and easy crochet pattern ". The instructions for the blanket & edging will post. You can then download it. Hope this helps.
Karen Fiordaliso - Karen, thank you yo much for responding to my question. Unfortunately, I am still a beginner, and I just do not understand the written instructions for the edging. The instructions for the main part seem so much clearer to me. I'll never start a project that demonstrates only part of the project. Thanks again for responding to my request for help!
Anne Barefoot Anne, I've done some crocheting in the past, but only easy stitches. I didn't read the instructions for the edging yet, but I will. If I understand, I'll touch base with you & try to help you.
Karen Fiordaliso - you are so sweet to do this for me! My mom taught me to knit, and was beginning to teach me how to crochet, but then her Alzheimers worsened.
Anne Barefoot Anne, not a problem at all! Glad to do it for you! I'll look at the edging instructions tomorrow. So sorry about your Mom. Sending many prayers. I'll touch base with you tomorrow.
I have 2 quick questions. What size needle are u using. I am trying with 10mm & I think a 6.6( not totally sure) & can u do a video on the side stitches please. Wishing u much success in ur talent. 👏👏👏👏👀👀👀😎😎😎😎💯💯💯💯✔✔✔✔
I love the look of this and I'm into row 6 or 7 but the pattern doesn't look as textured or I guess I'd say the bump outs. Will that come later? I've taken it apart several times thinking it was my stitching but it's not. I'm following the pattern to a tee.
Great tutorial - thank you. However those extra six stitches (after the multiples of 10) posed a problem for me because on row one, I ended up with three slip stitches instead of five. Did anyone else experience this or was it just me who got it all mixed up?
Hey Mikey, I'm doing this pattern and it's tougher than I thought, but coming together really nicely. Do you have a tutorial on how to do the edging for this blanket????
I am making is blanket right now. I want to make another one, question is instead of doing slip stitches could you use single crochet? Thank you! And I love your videos! Awesome
This is very pretty but not so quick, not sure that's an accurate title. It's actually one of the more slow-going blankets (but I am using a smaller hook and yarn). It's also not extremely easy because you can't just fly through it while watching TV, you have to actually keep count. Just an FYI for those who are actually looking for quick and easy! Thanks for the tutorial.
@Brittney I used size 8 hook, size 4 Deborah Norville yarn. It's very pretty but I would go up in both yarn and hook size if you're actually looking for "quick and easy".
Brittney Gleiter I find using the N hook like he said and I'm using the chunky soft yarn from barnet yarn, it turned out beautiful. it's allot of counting so if you don't want to take forever doing this I suggest the chunky or chunky soft the thin yarn would take forever
Julia Peters please would you tell me how the edges turned out? I've tried making a swatch & the edges are very uneven! would appreciate advice. Thanks
I couldn't get the link to the pattern to work, but I was able to find it on the website. Here's the updated link: www.yarnspirations.com/bernat-quick-easy-blanket/BRC0502-003760M.html?cgid=crochet-patterns-home-decor-afghans-blankets#sz=12&start=78

Can you do a tutorial on Caron diamond blocks crochet blanket off the Yarnspirations website? I really want to make this as a gift but the instructions make no sense!
Can you use Impeccable yarn and make the chain the length that you want? I guess I am basically asking if you use a thinner yarn will it have the same visual effect?
Natalie Williams if you use a thinner yarn use a smaller gauge hook unless you want it with the holes. But yes it will still look the same if you use the right hook size
I only have I only have Walmart to purchase yarn. Where can I purchase yarn online? Also any suggestions for a good soft yarn to make a large twin sized blanket? And I say soft because generally I'm only using Red Heart brand yarn that I get at Walmart.
Hi! My name is Annie, I love to crochet and knit. We have a new grandson and I would like to make this afghan for him. I am having so much trouble with taking the crochet hook into the back loop or bump. I cant't seem to get that right and it doesn't look like a wave. Can someone out there help me? Thanks so much! Ann
I really want to make this but don't know how to do The border? why wasn't it shown how to make the border. not everyone can read patterns. does anyone know if there is another video on how to do the boarder?
Has anyone used bernat blanket yarn for this? I have used it for another blanket and loved working with it and that it is soo soft! I worry that it won't look as good texture wise.
im confused i did 176 for my chain and followed the directions 5 slip stiches and 5 half double crochet then repeat and i had 3 chains left over when i finished my first row. i counted them all and i know i have 176 stiches including the three left over chains what the hell did i do wrong? can i just untie the end knot and get rid of those chains and continue?
dose any one have any recimendations on what hook size and wool thickness you should use? I want to try and make a really thick chunky blanket but still retain the look of the pattern
I love how you waved to us at the end of each of your videos 😊 Great and easy to follow videos each time. Thank you so much🙏

Can't wait to try this one. Looks amazing!
I just finished this blanket and it turned out really well but I did not find it quick or easy. I also used an 11.75 mm hook.
Crystalorchids is there a video to help with the border? I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around the instructions.
M3xicanB3auty01 I really don't think he knows how to explain things really well

Stunning thank you
Like your new intro
I love this thank you
In the final 5 slip stitches in row 2, did you do 2 sc instead of 2 slip stitches?
Yes he did but I don't think he wants you to do that he just did it by mistake
Sue Bertone I've been looking through the comments seeing if anyone else noticed and if is supposed to be like that
Sue Bertone I noticed
I saw it too, but he said a total of 5 SL's, so I did all SL's.
megan taylor i did Slip stitches also, it was an error on his part, by accident if you read the pattern it states 5 Slip Stitches
Please add a video showing how to do the border! I'm a beginner and can follow the pattern for the body fine but don't know how to do the border
Thanks for uploading this video. Great.
Yes, I noticed also in row 2, the last 2 stitches should have been slipped, instead of single crocheted.

Thank you for the tutorial. Doesn't seem so intimidating now. Where can I find that little drawn chart you were talking about.
i think it's in the description
+kaylee grandstaff it is on Yarnspirations.com

''its a big deal'' cracked me up
Mikey can I change color between row or do I have too keep it one color for this pattern to work?
do you think you could make this same design using single crochet and double crochet? instead of slip stich and half double?
For a.big sized afghan how many holes.do you chain on the first row? And how do you finishthe edes with 2nd color???
Love it
Can someone show me how to do the edge? I don't know the name and can't find a video on how to do it.
Down the pattern instructions from yarnspirations website: www.yarnspirations.com/patterns/quick-easy-blanket-2.html?id=198686
Would this pattern work with Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn and the effect still look the same (front back front back) PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Hi - in the first row, all ALL of the stitches on the back hump? Thank you!
I have a soft bamboo spun yarn, it's thinner and calls for a hook of 6.5. Would that work still? Or would it just be heavier?
What if I want to make a bag of this stitch, will the pattern be same or it will get changed
Is there a video on the edging.. I hav difficulties in understanding written patterns. Plzzz some one help with a small video. Will really appreciate.
i literally just finished a lapghan version of this!

Did you try the bernat blanket? I'm using it and don't see the texture as pictured at all.
Can this pattern be tweaked to make a scarf instead of a blanket??
Why did you do single crochet stitches on the last 2 stitches instead of slip stitches ?
Could I switch this out for a single and double crochet?
could make a honey comb scarf !!!!
im confused i did 176 for my chain and followed the directions 5 slip stiches and 5 half double crochet then repeat and i had 3 chains left over when i finished my first row. i counted them all and i know i have 176 stiches including the three left over chains what the hell did i do wrong? can i just untie the end knot and get rid of those chains and continue?
Could you use the Bernat Pop Bulky yarn for this one?
I Love it Tanks
Do you do every stitch or every second stitch?
How long does it take to complete a blanket like this?
dose any one have any recimendations on what hook size and wool thickness you should use? I want to try and make a really thick chunky blanket but still retain the look of the pattern
On the 2 nd row I noticed you did single crochet and slip stitches in the count of 5 so is this correct?
you can buy pencil grips that will work will the same and save you money. just look for the squishy ones
Thank you!
What crochet hooks are you using
Can I use Bernat Mega Bulky yarn instead Chunky?
