- This was a blessing in disguise. Yes, I'm afraid of whats next to come in my life but I'm happy I'm no longer at a job I was completely unhappy with. If you find yourself in a similar situation, trust me, you'll be okay. take it one day at a time.

What hurts the most is when it isn't on your terms and you showed up to work everyday despite the environment and treatment. We'll be ok. The unknown is the only way we'll grow.

I was just fired today. I am honestly, not shocked. I was having a lot of difficulty fitting in with the staff and didn’t feel part of the team. I tried to make it work for so long, but my coworkers could see that I wasn’t one of them and started to complain to management. Albeit it is sad that it ended this way, I feel that there is something better out there for me where I will feel happy and fulfilled.
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT happened to me YESTERDAY. I was NOT a part of the Team dynamic. I did NOT fit in at all and it was heartbreaking!! I got fired for the most mundane reasoning.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY
I got fired twice. The truth is I hated both of those jobs, but getting fired made me devastated, cause I needed those jobs. I tried my best to perform well, but I was always on the edge. Now I’m doing what I love, and to be honest, I’m not doing great, but it’s easier for me to be persistant at something I love doing. I did experience failure more than once trying to build a carrer for myself, but those kind of failures never made me devastated like getting fired from a job that I hate but keep doing it. I know it’s strange but that made me realise that I might take a chance in something I love. What ever you do in life, you will fail in some moments. So chin up everybody who got fired recently, there is a way to everything.

It's sad that American government allows for firing without cause.
How long were you at the company? If it’s within 90 days the employer generally doesn’t tell you why except for just saying it’s not a good fit but all the times I was fired within 90 days I pretty much was always told why except for one place. If it’s after 90 days they have to talk to you and give you so many write ups and put you on a performance improvement plan.

Me too I’m working at the same place as my mom did when she was my age and I’m scared I think I’m finna get fired for soemthing I didn’t do . There’s a rumor going around saying I threatened someone when I didn’t I told my bf he said they would of been fired u by now Bc I never gotten in trouble there ever and that was a couple of weeks ago but my managers and supervisor everyone is acting weird which is why I’m feeling nervous and having anxiety cus everyday I think something gonna happen off of false information

The same thing happened to me today. I'm hoping it's a blessing in disguise. I was miserable and suffering from anxiety whilst I was at that job, plus they never appreciated the work you put in, it was a negative work space. I do feel some relief now, but lots of confusion too.
I got fired before I got hired, but it all good, another company just hired me, the same day I got fired. When one door closed another one open
I am 60 years old retiring October of next year and just got fired one and a half hours ago. However, God has me. God also has you.🙂❤️

I just got fired from my job that I LOVED yesterday, over the phone, after I worked for months as a supervisor with a promise of a raise and official title that never happened . My manager told me I could trust her and then I was fired. And when I asked why they said there were people saying things about me. But they have no proof and could not show me any. I am heartbroken. I have never been fired before. This video means a lot to me because everything you just said I feel. And I really hope this horrible feeling goes away soon.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this hard time. Just remember when one door closes another opens. Sometimes we get so use to the normal routine that we forget to stop and think if we’re genuinely happy. Life is way too short to be miserable at a job just for a paycheck. This is definitely a blessing in disguise. You will find something way better, where you’re truly happy and where your hard work is appreciated. :)

I got fired yesterday, after a year and a half..it was somewhat surprised and i feel happy but annoyed because I feel like I did not get to tell my boss the things I wanted to tell him...i was so shocked and numb at that point...thank god I have money saved.

Marlon Hey bro you can quickly get another job by going through Express Professionals, Robert Half, Or Aerotek (or other staffing firm closest to you). You can look online their websites and check out what jobs they have. Just take the job that reads the best to you in your zip code area. Even a logistics job ...just take the one that is the best shift for you...maybe choose 2nd shift so u have the day to keep applying to better higher paying jobs....recruiters get paid a commission at these firms so they wanna fill u in right away, and whatever ur education level, they don’t discriminate much cuz LIKE I SAID, they get paid to find a body for the position by the client...some of these clients are big companies like food distribution or healthcare companies....just apply and get in and start making that money! They also typically pay each week! Then when u get in, try to talk to HR when u meet them at orientation and ask if they have any professional level jobs they are looking to fill asap if that is what you’re looking for....worked for me and was a game changer!

I got fired just yesterday after a month and now I am planning for the last day which I want to get over it quickly. The people there is just so negative. Every little thing I say or whatever to better myself, there’s always a negative feedback. I’m angry and sad to have people possibly talk behind my back which got me fired. But at the same time, I am relieved because I never liked the job anyways and planned on quitting but I never thought it was going to be this soon. I’m okay and I will be okay. Let’s move on. 😌

I'm an Australian. When I was fired, the hardest part was telling my family. There's a stigma and embarrassment attached to it, as well as loss of pride.
I look forward to being old with a cleared mortgage so I don't have to worry about this shit. Finding and learning a new job is painful for me.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I too got fired from my job and I loved coming in and seeing my coworkers talking, working alongside with them. Now all of that is gone! they were like family to me. Right now I'm going through some tough depression and stress trying to find another job and getting ready to adapt to that new environment. Same, I got fired from my last Job at the Foodland store in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia.
I was doing so well working in a well familiar territory and I made new friends as well as some old ones over at the Superstore in Elmsdale.
The reason why I got fired from both jobs was that my anxieties got me in the way for me to keep my job there.
Now I'm practicing about my stress and Anxiety at home before I start another job.
I went through the same thing this October! Now I am self-employed full-time and it is scary but I know you can do it! We believe in you!

I’m 18 and got fired from my first job.. felt upset thinking there was something wrong with me but now that I’m looking into other people who’ve been laid off as well - I’m realizing it’s such a common occurrence for many people and most of the time it isn’t even their fault. And now that I’m thinking about it, the staff was iffy and I disliked that workplace so maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I have been there as well I am a single mom since the day I found out I was pregnant and I am doing great it is hard because I work my butt off for my son. I wake up at 5am to be back home at 6pm or so. Work extra hours to make additional money for us two, I know that he appreciates me and at times he is upset because I work a lot but he understands why his mom has to work. This happened to me yesterday. They can’t even explain why they kicked me out. Plus, I still have to work for two days. Do they think I’m still motivated after being kicked out like a trash bag? And I’ve also been sick last week. But I can’t imagine this is the reason.

My job laught at me when I wanted to start up a cleaning company. They said are you going to clean toilets for a living, I then started it with Bucket of cleaning chemicals and a vacuum, fast forward I now have 18 employees and make waaaaaaaaaaaay more then when I was working for the man, now I became the man. I now have my own schedule, and things are working well. I stopped in my old place of employment and I see the stress on their faces and I just said to them well its a beautiful sunny 80 degree day out,, I'm glad your doing good I'm going the grab some lunch a the local restaurant then be home by 1pm to relax, they said your all done with work today I said I did work today just relaxing. Tomorrow I'll check on the employees, they said must be nice..lol So lesson learned when you feel down and out dig deep get angry, get the drive and make your own money. Don't work for people that are going to be mean and make you stressed. Being a single mom is tuff but having your own business you can work around your child schedule with ease.

I starting working for this company and even though it wasn't perfect by any means, I felt welcome and financially stable working there. The were some great people and made a couple of friends there. In general, I felt comfortable driving to work because I enjoy it.
I really like the brand and it felt really good to sell things that I was using on a daily basis ( the passion was there.)
Recently I made a mistake and broke a policy which resulted in a violation and I was terminated as a result.
I know I would get through this eventually but right now my chest feels heavy because I could see my future self working there for a couple if years more at least.
Anyway, thanks for sharing this video. It helps to cope.
I feel you I’m working in a place for almost 8 years and i gave everything to this job and to this company as if it’s mine but unfortunately I didn’t get the respect and the appreciation that I deserve and to make it worse they gave me an an unpaid vacation till the financial situation gets better , and just me as if my salary will solve their problems it’s a sign for me to resign I should’ve done it long time ago i feel your anger specially when you have a responsibilities, I’m sure that I’ll be ok I’ll get through it but after this long time in this work I feel like I’m starting all over again from the scratch , I believe everyone deserves a better chance.

i think i'm about to get fired from my first job and was trying to find videos that i can relate to. then i saw your video. it made me feel less alone and i'm comforted. i have anxiety and depression (and i also think i have an undiagnosed ADHD) that's why it's really hard for me to do my job. i can be smart but my mind really wanders off on its own most of the time. another problem is i feel so naive working cause i don't know how things work in the real world since i just graduated. i'm problematic cause i don't have money for therapy, which i really need and my family is ready emotionally distant and/all aspect distant with each other so i feel more alone. the thing u said that this will also pass made me feel a lot better despite everything

Hi. I live in MD. I’m glad you posted this video because I don’t feel so alone now. I know this video was posted 4 years ago. I was just let go unexpectedly from my job in security at a hospital. I think I was set up because the reason didn’t even make any sense. Lots of people recently were getting fired, transferring or quitting over the last few months in a mass exodus. I know I did my job well and there was nothing more I could have done about it. It’s just me, no wife, no kids but I’m trying to deal with my emotions about how I was mistreated. I’m angry but relieved too. I’m also concerned about my money situation and my benefits situation. All this was totally unexpected. I was planning on leaving soon or at least changing jobs soon anyway. I just think management and some co-workers treated me unfairly. I hope you were ok after the video. cartrice2010 it’s so hard to not slump into depression, I did unfortunately but then I started watching some motivational videos, reading some books. Changed the way I viewed my life. I know this is going to sound super cliche but life is really what you make of it. It’s a series of choices. If you remain positive and keep telling yourself EVERYDAY that you’ve got this, you’ll be fine. I started writing my goals down constantly and I’ll tell you what, I haven’t been this happy in a while. Things definitely happen for a reason. I do real estate and my business is finally starting to take off. Keep pushing and follow your dreams! Thanks for watching!
This video is helpful, I’m so sorry for this, I’m on a extended probation period and my supervisor thinks I’m not suitable for the job. That although I’m a lovely person, have worked hard but it’s taken too long to learn :(.
I’ve been crying so much today my contract ends in May and it’s like the hint is that that’s where it will go. I have 4 months left, is there still time to make a change?.
I know how exactly you feel, the tears, anger, demotivating, scary, getting a headache in the head and a ache in the heart from the constant thoughts of not having money or a settled life, when you are young.
And the worst part is that you have to still do your hours, even if you know you will be fired, you have to walk and do it till your contract ends. It’s hard putting on a happy face and being motivated. I have to go to work and it is so hard to just pretend everything is fine with my colleagues when inside I’m crying and so so unhappy.
So sorry to hear that. Maybe make a case as to why you are suitable for the job and why they should keep you. Hope all is well.

So Terribly Sorry For You🥺. My Job as a Call Center Agent is literally stressful and my boss scolded me last week on a small thing. I trying to make sure I do the work right, but I do make small mistakes like not providing the Customer his Case #. I get paranoid of getting fired, it’s just terrible 😞. Keep God in your Heart like I Do. He has many plans for us 🙂
I had terminated 4 times in UAE from crabby agencies in just 2 years I'm literally devastated my heart beating swiftly, I was also working as Call Center and the most frustrating thing that I was the master minded and the driving force for the entire department However majority of the foundations violating the preconditions and the mutual agreement which's addressed clearly to have 1 hour break but Honestly they give me a break time based on the current circumstances to maintain the SLA and that's would be on your health expense perhaps that's will require to settle 4 or 5 hours on the Q without taking your breath.
And always you should consider the best for their business.

I’m late to the party but got fired from my job in high school back in 2017. Felt I was did dirty but I held my head high and wanted to make something of myself. After four years of college, I am now a commissioned officer in the US Army. The light is always at the end of the tunnel 🙌
I wish I seen this video 4 weeks ago! I was canned after 14 years I worked my way up to a manger and got canned for no reason. I was devastated! Thankfully wife has a good job I’ve been the houseband watching my son. I feel way better then that week I was canned.

i just got fired from my job as well I worked at a Casino for housekeeping and I was a honest employee I never missed a day of work i never got a write up I was about to make 2 years this October but now I will not be able to because of the mistake I made I wish I didn't make this mistake and now I hope to better myself and become a good person.
I got fired from my job 3 weeks ago. Had been there 1 year and 10 months. Was the last person left from my original training class. only had 1 unexcused absence the entire time i was there. i was mad at first because they fired me in the midst of the coronavirus but they were paying me so little, that im actually going to be making more money with stimulus check and corona unemployment 600 extra weekly. They were trying to screw me but actually did me a favor. Im gonna take this time to work on my online business while i collect 875 a week. i was only getting paid 500 a week there and couldnt get ahead and they swamped us all with a lot of work. fuck them. god is in control

I just got fired today, after 3 years of dealing with a toxic environment, keeping my head down and just putting in that smile , never late for work, actually always 30 mins early , working those 14 hour shifts, dealing with Ck workers who are rude and bossy, management who allow this behavior, for them to fire me because I didn’t seem “ happy” anymore…. This coming after I spoke up about a co workers awful attitude and remarks that made everyone uncomfortable. I was fired the day I got back from an approved vacation, even after I was on the schedule for the next two weeks, they knew they couldn’t say it’s because of my work performance or ethic, I was one of their hardest working bartenders …. They fired me for not seeming “ happy” after 3 years of working there and being loyal that was there reason. I had recently had a surgery to have early cancels cells detected in my cervix taken out, the multiple times I was ostracized and had people wrote the N word on receipts after I served them and management did nothing, situations like that, I felt like I’m sorry I didn’t have a constant robotic smile on my face even though I showed up never late, was kind to all my Coworkers bosses and customers , I was fired for “ not seeming happy”
Such a blow and deflation I feel.
I just lost my job. My boss laughed as they said it. All smiles. I don't know what I should do now.

I just got fired today and I did my absolute best every single day but my supervisor just didn't like me for some reason. She suddenly fired me today and when I asked for a reason she couldn't give me one. I have been crying all afternoon and feel so scared and lost.
Couldn’t work for years due to an illness. Finally started out, found a job. Was so excited. And the manager just didn’t like me since day one. She bullied me away and basicly dismissed me at the very end of my probation. Which was today. I feel sad because I gave everything and she kept making me feel bad like I wasn’t good enough. I do feel relief because the place sucked. Seriously jobs shouldn’t be this big.

I got fired today so I been looking up youtube videos on it. I honestly learned one thing. I completely was under the impression that pretty/attractive girls never had to worry about being fired.
100% I honestly believed this. Tonight I have seen a number of pretty girls talking about getting fired. Again, that might be the fact that women are more prone to talk about it , but the fact remains.

I too got fired yesterday after 8 months. Anxious, numb, paralyzed and blindsided were my exact words. I noticed it happens when you aren’t meant to be at. The firing helps you grow and prompts you into something better.
