The Bends is the best Radiohead album with great songs like Planet Telex, High And Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Bones, Sulk,The Bends,Nice Dream,Street Spirit and the others songs on this album. And the energic songs like Just,My Iron Lung and the greatest sad song in the world Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was and Black Star and greatest b-sides like Maquiladora,The Trickster,How Can You Be Sure?,Lewis [Mistreated],Talk Show Host,Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong and Permanent Daylight, very underrated album of the 90-2000 era with Showbiz of Muse, Smash of The Offspring Fun fact: Matt Bellamy singer of Muse classed The Bends in the greatest album of all time And second fun fact: My Iron Lung eightest track on The Bends was recorded at the Astoria only the guitar, the drums and the bass the voice was recorded in the studio And thirdest fun fact: Maquiladora and How Can You Be Sure? was write and recorded for the first time in 1990
"I used to fly like Peter Pan All the children flew when I touched their hands" are quite heartbreaking lines, if the rest of it hadn't already broke your heart. Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. He'd probably be on a register nowadays. You're not allowed to not grow up anymore. Nor are you allowed to properly grow up because that's deemed being too serious! Bones is the quintessential Radiohead song to me - it covers the tragedy but also the funky joy of their work.
WHEN I touched their hands does sound a little creepy 😂 I'm pretty sure it's AND I touched their hands. Because Peter pan touches their hands while they're flying
I don't want to be crippled and cracked Shoulders, lips, knees and mouth Ground to dust and ash Crawling on all fours When you've got to feel it in your bones When you've got to feel it in your bones Now I can't climb the stairs Pieces missing everywhere Prozac and painkillers When you've got to feel it in your bones When you've got to feel it in your bones I used to fly like Peter Pan All the children flew when I touched their hands They say you've got to feel it in your bones They say you've got to feel it in your bones
He croons 'knees and back'. This is one of the least discussed aspects of Radiohead. On The Bends they weren't just aping Nirvana. They were enjoying being 'entertainers'. It was like a postmodernist exercise where they mixed in little nods to glam rock. But the message was implicitly 'the 70s weren't always that glamourous, were they?' I think there's a lot of Jarvis Cocker Northern-like wry sardonicness in Oxfordshire Thom Yorke.
Your feet are going to be on the ground Your head is there to move you around If wishes were trees, the trees would be falling Listen to reason, season is calling
As an American married to a Brit, I particularly love the way TY enunciates ‘Peter Pan’ on this-Yanks call him ‘Peeder Pan’ - which is particularly funny given some of the comments about this lyric being ‘creepy’-but I don’t get that vibe at all.

Why is it creepy to touch the hand of a child?
Actually, needle in a haystack, outta all the great songs from Radiohead, my absolute favourite 🤘❤❤❤
this song makes me feel nostalgic for Chicago for whatever reason, seriously it does
I don't want to be crippled and cracked
Shoulders, lips, knees and mouth
Ground to dust and ash
Crawling on all fours
When you've got to feel it in your bones
When you've got to feel it in your bones
Now I can't climb the stairs
Pieces missing everywhere
Prozac and painkillers
When you've got to feel it in your bones
When you've got to feel it in your bones
I used to fly like Peter Pan
All the children flew when I touched their hands
They say you've got to feel it in your bones
They say you've got to feel it in your bones
Shoulders and wrists, knees and back
Moderat!
2:14 amazing vocal melody line

This is my yearly birthday song.
I've just noticed the guitarist gets the fluttery guitar effect at the beginning perfectly in time
The tremolo? Yess
This song makes me do things
QUE TEMAZO VIEJO
This version is even better than the studio one.
exactly
Disagreed, it's much more empty-sounding (but still a great performance)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Reminds me of Pixies.
