I can think of a lot of ways in which our society is very codependent..or people pleasing...the central principle of economic growth - we MUST have more profit than before....advertising...the customer is ALWAYS right...do anything to succeed as a business...the striving for success over failure...etc......a balanced empathetic view point would transform this society....and certainly that's what we need to adopt if we to survive / adapt to climate change and a sustainable way of living...
