Best everyday drinker and I take every bottle in the store when it is there. Usually, have at least 6 bottles at $26 but Washington State has a %30 alcohol tax so it comes out to about $33.
It has continued to go up in price around us in SC. See it regularly at $40+ before tax. (Occasionally you happen into a store that prices it under $30, but they're sold out in a couple hours) There are too many others I like better for less than the market price around us. Too bad, cause it it is a solid pour.
At 3:50 what are those other bourbons in a similar price range? You can add value to your videos if you would give the viewer something to compare it to. Saying what "notes" you get in the nose and on the palate really adds nothing at all because each of us get different impressions.
Hey Mike, thanks for the feedback. Yep, that did get edited out by mistake, lol. In the $25 - $30 range I would reach for Early Times Bottled in Bond, Woodford Reserve, Elijah Craig, or even a Wild Turkey 101(less than $25 around me). All of these are usually on the shelf and not marked up. Like I said, this is just my opinion and to someone else Buffalo Trace may be their favorite....taste is subjective. Cheers!
@@ThoseBourbonGuys Thanks for the reply. Yep, while Buffalo Trace is a fine bourbon to me WT 101, Larceny, and Dickel #12 are a bit better in the similar price range. And importantly usually more available.
Man I am so shocked as to what is "allocated" to each area. I know this isn't an allocated bottle but we have this at every liquor store and supermarket around here (Northern California). My costco even has this at $23 for 1L. I know there is other bottles that other areas have all year long that I never see here.
It really is crazy how it varies from area to area. Around me, these fly off the shelf if they're priced under $30 for a 750ml. There is one store that keeps them on the shelf pretty regularly, but they charge $40 for a 750ml.
Yep, here in Texas also. I can get it almost any time at about $23. I have several 1.75L bottles in my inventory right now, and a couple of 750ml size too. I find it is a pleasant sipper, it has no flaws, but not greatly different from my other favorites.
Just bought one in Brewster, NY for $50 (because they're extremely rare to find in CT) before tax and they actually said they sell out so quick that the price is going to be increasing.
I can find it down the store at my local little liquor store in San Antonio Texas for $31 or around $35 With taxes. I have a store pick I got for around $35-$37 a few months ago that I'm waiting to crack open for a special occasion (:
Buffalo Trace is a good buy at under 25 bucks and it's more flavorful in the cream version compared to Bailey's. If you want to go cheap and taste higher priced Buffalo Trace bottles (The ones that cost well over 50 bucks.), a good substitute is Elijah Craig.
I find Buffalo Trace is way overhyped. You'll see people downvoted into oblivion on Reddit if they state they don't like it lol.. Which makes it worse because UA-camrs want views and add to the hype. For me it's thin and bland. Instant indicator for me to know who to stay clear of.
IMO FOR $27 msrp it’s in the Top 5 under $30 bourbons, when you talk about hype it means you listen to others yammering about it and for that I’m sorry but it’s a fantastic daily triple threat bourbon, neat, rocks, mixer solid
Live out in east texas, just bought this i love it. Great review ! Sbbed!

My favorite bourbon
For the price there is no better. Sweet and smooth sipper.
In California, BT is absolutely everywhere
It's kind of crazy how different the availability is from state to state.
I saw a bunch of this earlier, but still limited to 1 item per person
@@augustceasar1744 Allocation is weird, but it's a big improvement from RNDC days.
Love BT, it’s my go to bourbon.

is better than wild turkey 101?
Stupid question. What style are those glasses?
They call it a glencairn glass. Helps with the smell. I’ve gotten a few of them second hand.

Almost impossible to get near me in NC / SC border.
Just paid $42.99 in Massachusetts
weird that my Binny's does not have it, but my rural
Hy-Vee grocery store does have it

Well, everything you said is a bit sad to hear. Hopefully, they become easier to find for you and the price doesn't increase. Cheers!!!!
man.... get something better for $50. how much is the wild turkey 101 over there?
@@wanderingandroid $30... wild turkey 101 is okay, I guess
@@randyreilly2031 it's waaay better. and it's $20 cheaper. buffalo trace is good, but not worth $50.

I get a ton of apple from Buffalo trace. Its my go to
Just picked one up today. With tax just over $33

Yeah, Buffalo Trace is just ok for me. I've come across some store pick BT's that are really good, but those are the exceptions.
High ethanol kick to me. Tastes very young. Go wt101

@@ThoseBourbonGuys agreed with the store picks I will ALWAYS grab a store pick no matter the distillery
@ProudlyRetired to each their own for myself and those around me no one likes it
50 bucks in Canada 🇨🇦. It’s nice enough to drink 🍹
I got mine at Walgreens 29$
Buffalo trace bourbon do a rye version of this bourbon
Seems thin to me, but easy to find and cheap in Ca. $21.
Yeah it's definitely a budget pour to me....if we could get it at that price around us.
Just get the Turkey 101 , for the same price and get way better bourbon , BT taste like cleaning liquid to me 🤢
I would agree on getting WT101. Way more available and I like the higher proof. I like BT ok but just not worth what so many places want to charge.
You nailed that one. Too much hype on this one
Wild turkey beats buffalo trace hands down trace is for beginner drinker once you grow up and become a man it's turkey every day
Preach!
I was handed a bottle of this right before I got married, I took one shot and toss it in the trash. It's so bad dude. SO bad.
LOL!!! Yeah, it's not a go to for us. I don't hate it, but there are soooo many more that I like better for similar prices.
No. It’s not
Agreed
