100%. Foster kids are ignored a lot of the time and so if you confront them in any way they often take it out on their foster child who won't be believed later on. The best way to deal with that is to solve the problem, not berate the foster mom. But I would definitely get the child's name and phone number like she did so that she can make a complaint against the foster mom. It probably won't change anything with that kid but if it happens enough, they'll lose their foster care status.
I was in foster care for almost 2 years. Unfortunately this kind of thing happens on the daily and case workers look the other way because of the overwhelming need to foster homes in the USA. You think using these kids for cash is bad it is but the fact that some foster kids don’t get the support from the government it need leads them to walk around in old torn clothes shoes that don’t fit because the vouchers we get are not enough in today’s rising economy. The only hope foster kids have is being placed with a family member, being adopted and the less likely scenario politicians, taking notice.

I’m a foster child for 11 years and I have been used for money. Plenty of times have I wondered when I would be adopted. I am 16 now and have learned that I have to take care of myself until I’m out the system myself.

It's so heartwarming to see people standing up to the abusive foster mother (seriously, Traci is amazing at portraying as that). These scrpted scenarios really help teach people to take action when you see abuse rather than do nothing. That's a lesson that we ALL NEED to learn. Children deserve better.

I’m a foster child for 11 years and I have been used for money. Plenty of times have I wondered when I would be adopted. I am 16 now and have learned that I have to take care of myself until I’m out the system myself.
my volg life it’s at the point were I have learn to take care of myself. But the system DCFS has let me see my dad after he was deported so that’s a start. But I will have to remain in the system because nobody else want to adopt me and I need to go to college. They pay for college too

It's so heartwarming to see people standing up to the abusive foster mother (seriously, Traci is amazing at portraying as that). These scrpted scenarios really help teach people to take action when you see abuse rather than do nothing. That's a lesson that we ALL NEED to learn. Children deserve better.
