- I visited the Dekalb County Administration building and where the commissioner chambers are located to document the government building. While checking out the public spaces inside a taxpayer funded government building, I was approached by a rather rude and very unprofessional commissioner.
Commissioner ordered a reserve deputy which provides security to the building to place me under arrest.

Why ask if it’s ok to take pictures? You know it’s your right, just adds to their delusion that they have control over your actions.
It encourages a dialogue and shows respect for others. Good dialogue makes good changes. Being dismissive from the start doesn't educate anyone. Plus, there are people out there legitimately afraid of being photographed/filmed by someone they don't know, probably (I'm not a mental health guy) akin to stage fright. They're not thinking about your rights at that moment. They just want to protect themselves.
Of course there's a point where you have to interrupt your training session because that one kid in the back won't STFU. In this video, that kid is a Dekalb County Commissioner.

A government building in Georgia is a limited public forum and they're allowed to govern and pass legislation to be able to make policies in the court house such as where you can and can not film at!!! Other independent journalists might want to call them to follow up on your news report. If those cops didn't know the law, you would have been in jail. You needed to have this documented and file an complaint with the Sheriff's office on that reserve deputy.
