Phil Larkin In an interview, Lars was asked about how he handles the trolls. He responded by saying that he pays no attention to them whatsoever, and when he does, he just laughs. Hes far mature than all the haters, thats why he remains in the band unfazed.
Phil Larkin true, but when the Napster thing went down it was more in-his-face than anything, and it did get to him for a long time. He is a tough cookie though.

I met Metallica when Jason was still in the band in San Diego January 97 after the show. They were all very nice guys. I was a very lucky 17 year old kid.
They all seem very down to earth. I don't get where all the hate for Lars comes from. I certainly didn't hear anyone compaining about him during the Justice Tour, so why now?

That being said, I still love Lars, James and Rob, but as a Metallica fan I've always resonated more with Kirk and Cliff because they always expressed themselves as they were...

Man. They look really good these days. I'm glad they got out of all the drugs and alcohol. They seem to be really healthy and happy. (And I'm a bit envious of Jim for getting to sit down and chat with them.)

this whole interview is the best one I’ve seen so far, it’s making me smile a lot.
I like this because it's just a couple guys chatting and you forget they are rock stars. To me it's just a reminder that the people who become celebrities and that crowds go ape crazy over, are just ordinary people like you and me. They actually were someone in a normal every day community at one point in time. They just have a talent that they were able to exploit through opportunity. But deep down they're just ordinary guys. (Girls for the female celebrities.)
DJ80s , yeah well, Metallica wasnt this calm and "mature" back in 1986. I know, i was around at that time! If this was 1986 this interview would of derailed in the first ten minutes. Theyre "grown up" here. And theyre kinda lame now. Musically and socially.
But don't get me wrong, I still love this band. But they have evolved into something that would have never gotten them noticed back in 1983. I wish they were young and crazy again!! And the same goes for myself! Well, the "young" part anyways. Cause I am still crazy!

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about cliff,, hes the reason I picked up a bass I was 9 when I started playing the six string. when I saw cliff playing the bass for the first time I switched to bass,,,, he was my favorite bass player. I wish he was still alive,,, I'm glad they hired rob tho hes a great bass player in his own rite. I was 15 years old when he passed away. Metallica,,slayer,,megadeth,,overkill and testament where my 5 favorite heavy metal bands at the time.
