Breuer is a top notch story teller...I could listen to him all day, and his impressions are off the chart. HIs standup bit of AC/DC doing the "Hokey Pokey" is classic, as well as him talking about his parents! Seems like a good dude to hang and have a beer with! Big fan Jim!!!
I'm guessing Lars has never lost a thing in his life (except maybe his manners) If that is the case, kudos for keeping track of all your stuff. To the rest of us irresponsible dummies out here, I'm not sure about you, but I am extremely thankful for all the kind souls out there, who have returned my lost processions - and trust me, there has been a few. I hope the kid got his books back. Thanks for trying Jim.
I love Jim breuer. Just saw him Thursday Feb 6 2020 at del Lago casino in Waterloo ny and I was laughing my ass off! He's 52 and he's still got it! Love you Jim!!!
So Lars complains about how irresponsible it is to lose a backpack or not by cigarettes ahead of time, but then crosses busy city streets in front of oncoming traffic. Class act.
Great friggin story! I love hearing about how he was star struck partying, but still down home enough to say, It’s late, Ima head home and take care of mama. Respect Jim
I used to despise Jim Breuer because of his Goat Boy character on SNL. I didn't think it was funny at all. Then I saw Jim doing AC/DC, specifically the Hokey Pokey and gave him another chance. He's funny as hell. He does awesome musical impressions and is spot on for Brian Johnson.
@@ripper2087 The first time I saw Brewer was in Half Baked. His dopey, always-spaced-always-baked character in the movie was a little annoying but it was a good gateway to his stand-up material.
gonna be honest. I was getting ready to leave an insulting comment about Jim Breuer, but he totally just won me over with that story. Brilliant impersonation lol
Oh man! Napster first came out late 90's?? Here I am downloading a few old little known 70's songs. I'd listen and dance every night. A guest of mine got on and downloaded 1 Metallica song. I was all but locked out of my house for life. Lars
Why do you think ANYONE should work for free? Metallicas success is a direct result of being one of the hardest working bands of the last 40 years....again i ask...why do you think ANYONE should work for free?
From the look of your avetar it looks like you probably think you deserve or are somehow entitled to Lars' music. They WRITE the songs and worked their asses off to get where they are. Pirating other people's art is wrong. Do you think if you were a painter, you would LOVE it if people started stealing them, and then make it out like You're the bad guy?
That cigarette story is awesome! I've totally felt that way. I can't wait until the next time someone wants to bum a smoke from me. I've got that line in the chamber.
Man, Lars Ulrich is such a nice guy. Hes more concerned about Jims partying habits than that Jim is. Also, trying to help people instead of partying? That just aint right
Best ulrich impression yet👌
Riversmallies right?! First one I’ve heard of him.
Oh yes, that was fantastic 😂
He must practice alot
Bro that Lars impression is so on point it’s insane🤣
I love he starts the story with "Lars is a great guy" and then tells a wicked story explaining just how terrible of a guy Lars is 😂😂
Lars is god
Terrible how? Seems like a fucking great guy to hang out with :) Jim on the other hand sounds like a real lightweight.
I've never heard Howard Stern this quiet during an interview. But then again it's a great story!
Jim is great at story telling. 🤘
That was funny as shit. He's good.
Yes 👍 👍
he’s up there with Charlie Murphy
People who don’t know who Lars is don’t know how good of an impression this is. It’s incredible
i think the word knapsack reminded him of napster. thats why he was so mad.
So that's what happend to my knapsack 😤
Very nice.
Crimson Shadow745 well your irresponsible and left it on the bus.
Fucking irresponsible kid! 🤣🤣🤣
Be more responsible next time.
Fuk yer fukin knapsack, huh! Yer fukin irresponsible leaving yer fukin knapsack!
I’d like Breuer to explain the Napster story doing Lars.
Lol
I think the cigarette part was a sneaky reference to that
cmon obviously the way he says it. Get lars to back up the statement
Not much to explain. People where stealing his music and he shut that shit down. Lars was right
A guy that goes home to wife despite the killer party scene....class.
This story doesn't surprise me.
Lars has and will always be a total prick. Great drummer tho.
Can't ya just see it?!
he would have still been on coke back then anyways.. he only quit in 2009 i believe.
Lars isn’t a prick. He’s super friendly.
The Washington Post Is that you Jason? Lol
"If they wrote the scene in a movie you'd go, 'This is a little over the top....'"
lol I love those moments in life
Amazing that Hetfield has tolerated Lars since the beginning. James comes off as such a chill dude.
Unbelievable man ahaha
They both know they have a one in a billion chemistry for writing songs
$, and it's fun to create music. Might as well put up with it
KillSwitchNY thinking the same thing. Drummers can easily be replaced. I am curious the attachment James has.
@@iggypopisgod9Not all drummers are easy to replace, although i have to agree on lars
Lmao his Lars impression is spot on
That's the best Lars impression I've ever heard
He fkn left the club
I'm guessing Lars has never lost a thing in his life (except maybe his manners) If that is the case, kudos for keeping track of all your stuff. “THERE’S YOUR FOOKIN’ KNAPSACK!!!”
Best Lars impression ever.
Bruer is the type of guy that could make doing nothing seem better than most parties.
I’d love to party with Jim. One of the most underrated comedian there is. One of the best!!!!
Best Lars impression ever... And when Jim laughed Goat Boy came out for just a sec 🤣
Frigging spot on impression of Lars! Had me laughing so hard!
I never realized how much Lars and Woody Allen sound alike until I heard Jim's impression. Now I can't unhear it lol.
Sounds a bit like Bernie Sanders too!
Imagine having Lars Ulrich just casually walk over your car. and thinking "bro did the fucking drummer of Metallica just walk over my car?"
Good on him for calling it a night. I know so many men that couldn’t do this. Never been a problem for me.
If I ever get to meet Lars Ulrich in person the first thing I’m gonna tell him is “Dude you sound just like Jim Breuer!”
That’s a great Lars impersonation
I had "f**kin' knapsack" from the Lars impression for days after hearing this.
there's a K in that word?
I’m not gonna dooooo
What everyone thinks I’m gonna doooo
And FREAK OUT MAN!!
Don't worry... don't worry...
All I wanna know is, who's coming with me
Wrong character
WHOS COMIN WITH ME MANNNNNN
I’d hang with Jim before hanging with Lars any day.
What a great story! Hell of an impression!
Dude that Lars impression is fucking spot on
Jim is hilarious
I love this story. I've listened to it many times.
Cracks me up!
For anyone that knows anything about Lars Ulrich, this story sounds too true to not be able to believe.
I'd say Lars is lucky
Lucky he didn't get the shit knocked out of him for walking on somebody's car.
I was a 2 AM partier as well. I would always sneak away and go home before things tend to go downhill
Great friggin story! I love hearing about how he was star struck partying, but still down home enough to say, It’s late, Ima head home and take care of mama. Respect Jim
You haven’t lived until you’ve heard Jim’s AC/DC Hokey Pokey!
tjnaples You ready? 1 2 3 HOKEY POKEY! (HOKEY POKEY!) Ooo
tjnaples that is SOOOOO funny!
This is definitely a hokey pokey crowd! 😂
@@ripper2087 The first time I saw Brewer was in Half Baked. His dopey, always-spaced-always-baked character in the movie was a little annoying but it was a good gateway to his stand-up material.
What a great story teller! I loved this!
As someone whos horrible at telling stories, Breuer is an underrated story teller
I watched this clip 5 times. Ive never heard anyone do lars before. Its perfection.
What a great storyteller Jim is
best lars impersonation i've seen lmfao spot on
What a story teller!
gonna be honest. I was getting ready to leave an insulting comment about Jim Breuer, but he totally just won me over with that story. Brilliant impersonation lol
I thought this dude was wasted until he did his wasted impersonation.
Breuer always sounds fucked up. Even when he isn't.
He always looks drunk.
He has...... resting wasted face.
Oh man! Napster first came out late 90's?? Here I am downloading a few old little known 70's songs.
I'd listen and dance every night.
A guest of mine got on and downloaded 1 Metallica song.
I was all but locked out of my house for life.
Lars
South Park tells it best....Lars can’t have his gold plated shark tank because you illegally downloaded his music.
Why do you think ANYONE should work for free? Metallicas success is a direct result of being one of the hardest working bands of the last 40 years....again i ask...why do you think ANYONE should work for free?
Lars was standing up for all musicians when he spoke out against Napster, not just the wealthy ones. And he was right.
Lars is nuts...but to be fair.....there was better music around when we still had to buy albums.
@@kevinrutkowski3034 So I can have free music. Duh.
I remember listening to this live. Great story!
That Lars impression is on point. Jim is a HELL of a story teller.
His Lars impression is perfect
I love Jim. a purely nice genuine guy.
You know the story is true since everyone can 100% see him saying every word 😂
In Jim's defense, his resting face is higher than most people can get.
Love Breuer. Great impressions
Jim is ALWAYS A PHENOMENAL guest!
Man that Lars impression is amazing
That was a hilarious story!! Jim is the man!!
There two types of people in the world: Those that will try to give back something that somebody lost and then there's guys like Lars.
Jim is the best man. Always a great entertainer and looks like a good dude overall.
That cigarette story is awesome! I've totally felt that way. I can't wait until the next time someone wants to bum a smoke from me. I've got that line in the chamber.
I love how this guy can be a comedian, coach Deontay Wilder and host overhaulin’ such an inspiration
I never really noticed Lars’ accent after all these years until Jim impersonated it
One of the best Breuer segments
Jim is always a great guest. Such a good storyteller
Imagine trying to convince your teacher that Lars fucking Ulrich destroyed your knapsack with your homework in it.
Master of napsacks
For whom the napsack tolls.
He is so freaking funny. I couldn't help laughing the whole time
Best Lars impression I’ve ever heard
This interview is fckn great!!!😂😂
I love his Lars impressions. Sounds just like Lars!!
This is a top 10 story UA-cam!
Howard: and that was it?
Jim: no no no
😂😂😂
I can’t believe how spot on he was when he did Lars xD
Great story and Lars impersonation but his "star struck" bit at 4:20 is greatness.
this is legendary, now Im gonna try to have Lars sign my knapsack..
Jim Breuer is a legend. Freaking hilarious
"He left the fooking party!"
Jim’s got some funny ass stories
Great Lars impression. Best story teller of the generation
Jim tells the best stories.
After all that and then he brings me to this little club.
That was an awesome Lars impression
Oh man I could listen to Jim tell stories all day, HUH !!! 😂
Impression was spot on
wow, awesome impression and great story
It's amazing how much he can sound like Lars.
Masterful storyteller
2:47 that was it?
Oh No No No...
Lol
this dudes impressions are so funny
If Lars walked on _my_ car, he'd be partying in the fucking emergency room.
Jim opened up for Metallica when they came to Little Rock Arkansas
Good show
Man, Lars Ulrich is such a nice guy. Hes more concerned about Jims partying habits than that Jim is. Also, trying to help people instead of partying? That just aint right
I remember seeing this when it came out and laughing my ass off-still the same after all this time.
Breur...great comic and impressionist
