girl I need to get on your level. I used to be in amazing shape and am also ex military. I have gotten so out of shape the past year its embarrassing. I finally started working out again and am down 8lbs, but still kick myself in the butt for letting it happen.
The things i do that work for me: Plenty of protein to keep me full between meals, i drink water 90% the time but sometimes i drink "healthy" juice, NO sodas, i try my best with portion control, i make sure to stop eating anything 3 hours before bed, i walk every. single. day. Without fail. Sometimes twice a day. At least 45 mins each time. And i get up earlier now so that i can get my walk done first thing before doing the rest of my day. I try to make more meals at home at minimize any takeout meals, and if i do choose fastfood- i choose the healthiest options i can find. Still always eating foods that i love - just making better choices with my food everyday. I dont count calories. Since starting my walks (only 10 days ago) i've lost 2.5 kgs. Ive been on and off with fitness for much of my life but now i'm in it as a lifestyle, for the rest of my life and I'm loving it

Recently the tip you do that has helped me get on track for the is drink lots of liquid in tge morning, and don't grab the coffee 1st thing like I want to sooo bad. I drink hot water w lemon 1st, it does make a difference. 😊
Thank you for addressing the cycle syncing. I tried to do that for a while and it kind of drove me crazy. You're right - listen to your body. I didn't want to spend an entire 2 weeks during my luteal phase doing 'low impact' workouts. No thank you!
I used to be like that. I got one of those alarm clocks that light up gradually before the alarm and it’s amazing. I wake at 5 daily for a walk now (I do live in a warm part of Australia, mind!)

I started adding in healthy things the past year and trying to cut back on sugar and somehow I’ve lost 10 lbs since November! Im just getting started! Good video, I need incentive to get back on track. Last September I started my fitness/health journey. After losing about 20lbs since I retired in September 2020, I started a calorie deficit and going to the gym. By February or so, I lost an additional 30lbs! I went to Florida in March and haven’t been in the groove since. Though I’ve stayed within 3-4 lbs from my lowest weight. I knew I wasn’t finished with weight loss but my mojo was lost. I’m getting ready to restart the journey. This video helped today. Thanks so much!!
Hey Katie, Love this video, you always put your everything into every video you make! 😊 a few tips of yours that have been an improvement to me is getting some liquid in my body first thing. Without even realizing it I would wait to drink water or anything until like three hours after I woke up, but now I drink some water first thing as well as a vitamin drink called laminate by juice plus. I have noticed a HUGE difference!! The other is you have helped me want to be more active, I feel like I would just eat snacks all day that I didn’t need, and I have been eating less (not starving myself) and when I do eat I have focused more on what nutrition I can put in my body, and I have much more energy and stay more active throughout the day! So excited for the summer challenge. Desperately needed after a lovely 2-week vacation break at a lake in Wisconsin. Cheese curds, brats, beer and the state drink.....the old fashioned. Subscribed! More liquids has helped me! Realizing I’ve been feeling hungry but was actually thirsty. Also outside walking has done wonders for me! Not just weight loss but also mentally keeps my anxiety in check.
I feel like I should bookmark this video to go back to it when I "forget" or wander off track a bit. I teach group fitness classes part time and love to exercise but I could be more consistent with my workouts and ahem progressive overload, yes! The food pyramid...I'm a three square meals a day kind of girl. I have tried so hard to do smaller meals throughout the day but I get shaky/hungry and just feel like I function better with 3 good sized meals and maybe a snack on some days. My issue is always eating too much for dinner even though it's healthy. You've given me things to think about and I really appreciate your tips and how positive you are. Thank you for everything. I've watched you for years.
Some of your followers live in cold places! 😂 No way I’m getting up and going outside first thing in a Midwest winter. 😂 That’s why I have a treadmill.
I workout same as usual during my period and im the strongest during that time. I love my period workouts, makes me feel so good and if I keep my nutrition in check I have minimal symptoms, sometimes the only way I know I’m on my period is bleeding (TMI 😂) Also, I’m on the salad kick too! So refreshing in the summer.

How exactly do you calculate how many calories you are supose to have? Cause I’m sitting at 1400 a day and I feel like a protein shake will make or break my calories and hinder my dinner plans. I couldn’t do 5 meals a day under that many calories but it is what was recommended to me by many different sites.
I got out of my groove in going to the gym on a regular basis and haven't been able to get back into those good habits. I want to make the change, I want to take care of myself so I can live a healthy life. Thank you for your videos Katie. I love how positive and uplifting they are.
I am new here and was lucky enough to stumble upon one of your thyroid videos, as I myself have recently been diagonosed with Hoshimotos hypothyroidism and have been trying to deal with it. I was recently put on a low dose of levothroxaine but still have weight gain I can't seem to ditch. I am an active gym goer and most recently have set up my own at home gym, I love eating healthy and have already cut out gluten, dairy, and sugar from my diet as I suffered from bad headaches and migraines for years. I can't help but feel like I am gaining more weight and simply look fluffy after eating healthy and working out. I am so glad I found your page as I hope to watch all your videos and learn even more and see if I can figure out if there is something I am missing. Thank you for being here and so open with the world and other women who need it.
