- Wondering how to drop in with a longboard?? When riding a longboard in a skatepark you usually want to look for smooth transitions and ways to roll into a bowl or the vert section of a skatepark... but sometimes the bowls are completely lined in coping. This is when most skateboarders tell me longboards don't belong in a skatepark, but when I drop in and shred the bowl they usually change their tone real quick. Skaters will give you respect when they see you drop in on a longboard with no tail because nobody expects to see that.
There aren't too many people out there shredding the skatepark on a longboard but I know how much interest people have when they watch me, so I figured I could help the cement surfers out there by giving some tips on dropping in with a longboard. Takes some courage to jump on.
In other videos on longboard drop ins you place the board on the wall and kind of jump on.
This method takes more courage , looks great thats for sure 💪
No problem, glad you liked the video! And yes, this is different than other ways people drop in with a longboard. It took me a long time to build up the courage to actually do the drop in like this! But I do think it looks (and feels) cool to be able to do.
