@@muffinedits165 It's better than nothing but the issue is longboarding helmets are made to protect the back of your head and bikes the front. Since when you fall on a longboard it tends to shoot forward and try to throw you off backwards while bikes you tend to go over the front of the handlebars. So they're made for different things and hitting the back of the head is serious so I'd grab a longboarding helmet.

Hey Spencer I just started out with longboarding and hilariously the hardest part for me is pushing and gaining speed on a longboard, especially on rough surfaces (even sidewalk "cracks") I tend to lose balance when I'm pushing pretty hard (maybe on the 2nd-3rd push) -so my question is: where do you put your weight? I've been putting weight on my pushing foot when I'm pushing, and this is because I've found if I put too much weight on the foot on the board, I tend to get caught up in the cracks on sidewalks (they're reasonably deep here) and the board stops suddenly and I fall over. Thoughts on this?
put more weight on the foot that stays on the board, you should be able to stand on the board with just that foot on the bolts and balance. learning to push, try to push gently, but do it in smooth pavement so there isn't any annoying cracks lol
I have the same problem with cracks. Mounds of grass growing through pavement and loose gravel etc. Roads arent an option due to fact theyre busy and 80kmph. Just finding it hard to stay on the board when traveling where i live
